The popular Spanish beach area has a lot to offer and visitors say it's cheaper than the popular party destination too
A Spanish city just two and a half hours from the United Kingdom has been branded 'better than Magaluf ' thanks to it's buzzing nightlife, cheap alcohol and stunning scenery.
British tourist Tara claimed she got more than she bargained for on her recent holiday to Ballermann, Mallorca. After discovering the 'hidden gem' by mistake, social media star Tara said she was surprised at how popular the area was with European tourists, especially Germans.

A video of the island posted by @taraeleanorr on TikTok recently gained over 429,000 views after she branded the little-known Spanish region as a must-see destination for British holidaymakers.

Traveller Tara said the area has 'techno for breakfast, Currywurst on every corner, and a sea of football shirts'. While Tara booked the holiday by mistake, she said she would '10/10 go back to Ballermann again.'

Viewers flocked to the comments to share their experiences of the area. One tourist said: "Went here last year, was immense." Another added: "This is better than Magaluf, I've been a few times."

Someone else added: "Absolutely beautiful place, great for drinking on the eve too had a right laugh in the German beer hall style bars."
Someone else claimed to have made the same mistake, adding: "Done the same in 2007, was an unreal holiday."
There are 15 beach bars in Ballermann located along a stretch of sand of about four kilometres. The beach of El Arenal lends itself to party vacationers and offers a variety of different nightlife options.

The average price of a pint in the area is around £2.50 and return flights can be booked for as little as £30 each way from the UK, making it a hidden gem this summer.

Disgruntled ex-employee's fury after boss sends him an outrageous text request

A fired employee has sparked a humorous debate after exposing a shameless request from his former boss. The text message seemed genuine and polite, however it has transpired that this particular manager was asking the man to come back and train his own replacement just days after being let go. In a now-viral TikTok video, British career expert Ben Askins shared the shocking text message exchange that left thousands of viewers gobsmacked, with many dubbing the boss's request 'delusional' and 'ridiculous.' The clip, which has amassed more than 175,000 views, shows the boss pleading with the sacked staffer to return and train the new hire on the company's ticketing system. Outrageously, he was offering nothing more than a coffee in exchange. 'This boss was really pushing his luck!' Ben captioned the video. 'Situations like this can be easily avoided,' after he too seemed shocked by the lack of regard the boss had for the ex-worker. 'Hey, I know this probably isn't the best time to ask, but we're struggling with the new ticketing process. Is there any chance you could come in and run the new guy through it?' the employer messaged over text. To which the disgruntled ex-employee clapped back: 'Are you having a laugh? You fired me last week?' Lacking any regard for their feelings the employee replied: 'I know, but I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important. It shouldn't take you long. I know this is awkward, I promise you will get a coffee for the favour.' In the video, Ben chimed in adding his own opinion on the matter, joking that a mere coffee for his time was 'quite alright, then,' as he laughed. Surprisingly, the ex-employee replied with an olive branch to help, but felt remuneration was only fair for his time: 'I will do it. But I want it to be a remote tutorial, and I will charge you for half a day.' 'Remote is fine, but half a day's pay? This will only take a few minutes?' the employer replied, clearly surprised at the request. 'That is the deal.' Begrudgingly his terms were met, but not without a small dig at his audaciousness of actually being remunerated for his time and effort: 'Fine, but I am disappointed this is the way you are playing this,' the boss replied. Ben, who frequently posts career advice and work-related scenarios, was stunned by the entitlement on display. 'Firstly, let's be very clear,' he said. He does not have to do this favour. So the fact that he's charging is completely okay. 'He's giving up his time. He really doesn't have to do it, so the idea that this boss doesn't think he should pay is absolutely ridiculous.' He continued by saying that the text exchanges was 'a good example of why companies need proper training guides and onboarding processes - so you don't end up in situations like this.' Hundreds of Ben's viewers weighed in on the text exchange too, and they didn't hold back. The comments under the video lit up with support for the ex-employee, with many saying he should've asked for far more than just half a day's pay. 'Half a day? I'd charge them my consultancy fee and it would be astronomical,' one user wrote. 'I wouldn't even answer the message,' said another. 'At this point he's not under contract, he's a consultant. He can charge what he wants.' 'I'd reply two words and the second word would be 'off,' joked one. 'Half a days pay? He doesn't work there no more so his days pay is zero and half of 0 is 0.' While some users said they would've hung up or blocked the boss altogether, others applauded the ex-employee's cool-headed professionalism, particularly for negotiating remote work and payment. The viral saga has become a cautionary tale for workers everywhere, especially in industries where employees are often expected to go above and beyond, even after being let go, it seems.

Hollywood royalty nepo baby goes viral by flaunting glamorous lifestyle and A-list company

A daughter of two A-list stars, who was once dubbed the 'ultimate nepo baby ', is forging her own path as a social media sensation. Romy Mars, the 18-year-old daughter of director Sofia Coppola and musician Thomas Mars, has been sharing her lavish lifestyle on TikTok and Instagram, with her posts garnering millions of views. Her famous parents met in the late 1990s while working on the set of Coppola's The Virgin Suicides. Her mom, 54 — who is the daughter Godfather filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola — is known for directing acclaimed movies like Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette, while her dad, 48, is the lead singer of the indie band Phoenix. Romy, who also has a younger sister named Cosima, 15, is quickly making a name for herself, with her fans even hailing her as 'a star.' Given her parents' prominence, Romy often finds herself among A-listers, as seen in one of her viral clips from a private jet featuring Adam Driver, 41. The Oscar-nominated actor was promoting her grandfather's film Megalopolis in 2024, and Romy joined them at the premiere in Cannes. 'She stays flexing and I can't even blame her,' one fan commented on the clip, which saw Adam passing a bottle of what looked to be wine to another passenger. Romy also recently shared a post from a Chanel event which she attended with her famous mom, including a snap of countless bags from the designer. Just earlier this week, Romy shared a video of herself watching her dad performing on stage, with fans calling it 'iconic'. 'Having thomas mars as your dad, ICONIC,' one fan wrote. 'Having him and Sofia Coppola as parents it's unreal,' another added. In May, Romy shared a snap with singer Lana Del Rey, which has garnered nearly 50,000 likes. For her 16th birthday, none other than Jacob Elordi presented her with her cake. The Australian actor was the star of her mother's film 'Priscilla.' A picture of the pair also surfaced on socials, with Jacob slinging his arm around his boss's daughter. Romy first gained prominence in 2023 after sharing a now-deleted video, in which she claimed she was grounded for attempting to charter a helicopter to visit a friend using her father's credit card. In the clip she also admitted that her parents' 'biggest rule' was that she was not allowed to have public social media. 'But TikTok's not going to make me famous, so it doesn't really matter,' she rationalized. Her mother Sofia, who is known for fiercely protecting her family's privacy, later told The Hollywood Reporter she was 'not thrilled' about the viral moment. 'She's funny,' she said. 'But people discussing my parenting publicly is not what I would've hoped for.' Despite her previous claim that she was not permitted to have public social media accounts, she now has a public TikTok page with 395.5K followers, and an Instagram page with over 160K followers. She's also establishing herself through her music career, having recently released a song titled 'A-listers.' Romy also shows off her outfits, shares room tours, her hangouts with friends, and promotes her music. Though much of her content is surprisingly relatable to that of her peers, there are glimpses of affluence — including a recent video of her attending a Chanel ball. On Tuesday, Sofia also brought along her two teenage daughters to Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2025-2026 fashion show. Romy towered over the Priscilla director while Cosima also stood slightly taller than their 54-year-old mother. Speaking to Vogue after the Chanel presentation, Romy called it 'the most beautiful show.' Last month, Romy released a new song in which she laments the emotional emptiness of wealth, fame and red-carpet glamour. Titled A-Listers, it details the hollowness of growing up in unimaginable privilege - complete with references to private yachts, LA mansions, and fake romances with other rich kids. And in a truly on-brand move, the music video was directed by none other than her Oscar-winning mother Sofia. In the new music video, Romy sings: 'Grant all of my wishes, riches to riches / And one day I'll be bored with everything that I've got / Get out of fancy clothes right after they get the shot.' And while some have praised her for being 'self-aware' or 'meta,' others see it as a tone-deaf example of a celebrity offspring using their connections to produce content that ultimately flaunts the very privilege it claims to critique. One viewer commented on the video: 'It's tasteless to call your multitudes of wealth that you didn't earn "a bore."' While another fumed: 'This is talentless, insufferable, overproduced, nepo-baby garbage, and no amount of astroturfing will change that.' Romy sings about her luxurious life that she also feels detached from: 'Recreate scenes from Titanic on a flying bridge yacht / Just to feel something real,' And the chorus bluntly spells out the mood: 'Heartless, tasteless, nameless, famous / Never, ever on my waitlist.' Born in 2006, Romy grew up in New York's trendy West Village and spent summers in France, where her father was practising in his band. At the same time, she became well acquainted with the world of film, having accompanied her mother on set, along with her younger sister, Cosima. But when it came to promoting those same films on the red carpet, it was a strict no-go zone for the sisters. In 2017, during an interview with The Guardian, Sofia revealed why, saying: 'I never saw the point of taking little kids to movie premieres and stuff. I just want them to have a childhood.' Romy is part of the sprawling Coppola dynasty, which includes director Gia Coppola and Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage - Sofia's cousin. She was scouted for Marc Jacobs Beauty at just 13-years-old, and regularly appears at fashion weeks, film festivals and museum galas where her surname guarantees a front-row seat.

Braless Brooks Nader frees the nipple with shock sheer top in Paris

Days after suffering a major wardrobe malfunction, Brooks Nader displayed her bare breasts while leaving Lauren Sanchez's dinner party in Paris, France. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model, 28, went braless under a black see-through pussy bow blouse on Tuesday night. The shocking top left nothing to the imagination as Nader confidently exited Laperouse restaurant with a security guard in tow. The blonde bombshell completed her X-rated outfit with skintight capri pants, sky-high heels and a shiny black clutch. As for her glam, Nader's plump pout was drenched in lip gloss and her long hair looked extra voluminous for the invite-only occasion amid Paris Fashion Week. She left the party shortly after host Sanchez, who wowed paparazzi in a busty red latex dress by Versace. The new Mrs. Bezos, 55, finished off the look with her hair sleek and straight, and carried a black crocodile Hermès Kelly bag, which typically has a resale value of over $50,000. Also in attendance was Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio, 50. Tuesday night's dinner coincided with the start of Paris Fashion Week, which will run from July 7 to the 10. The dinner also marked the first sighting of Sanchez since she and Amazon founder Bezos, 61, tied the knot in Venice, Italy last month. Both Nader and DiCaprio were among the 200 guests who attended the Italian nuptials, which cost a reported $20million and took place over three days. Also in attendance were celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Ivanka Trump, Tom Brady and Sydney Sweeney. Days after partying it up at the star-studded wedding, Brooks hopped on a flight to London, England to attend Wimbledon. And while attending the world-famous tournament, the model suffered an unexpected wardrobe mishap. While she was in public, her period started and she bled through the fabric of her bright white skirt. The skirt had several blood stains visible along the back of it. But Brooks laughed off the snafu on TikTok, posting a video of herself getting confidently up from a table only for her sisters to start cringing at her. At that point she turned around and the shot ran down the length of her outfit, so that the stains were in clear view on camera. The Baton Rouge-born clotheshorse poked fun at herself the in text over the video as well, writing: 'tries to be chic,' and then: 'Starts [blood emoji] at Wimbledon.' Fans leapt into the comments to praise her for being 'real' and 'NORMALIZING it,' with one writing: 'A canon event for all us girlies.' 'The one time you wear something non sheer and maxi,' joked one commenter with crying, praying and heart emoji - earning a like from Brooks. Brooks waved off the mishap and sat cheerfully in the audience at Wimbledon that day, with her sister Sarah Jane right beside her. The Louisiana native was dressed in a stylish ensemble that included a monochrome polka-dot top with fashion forward sheer accents. Letting her caramel hair cascade over her shoulders in luscious waves, she accentuated her unmistakable features with makeup. Brooks had another wardrobe malfunction in April at the Fashion Los Angeles Awards, where her structured dress drifted forward at one point and exposed her left nipple.
