Ryder DiFrancesco (2:10.274) made his presence known in the first qualification session for the RedBud Nationals in Buchanan, Michigan, as he topped the chart and hopes to hold onto his speed and the best gate pick. After sweeping both qualification sessions at Southwick last week Haiden Deegan (2:10.357) landed second on the chart. Deegan not only swept qualification last week, he had a perfect weekend. Advertisement Seth Hammaker (2:11.424) grabbed the third position. He's looking for his first overall top five of the season. Fourth-place Tom Vialle (2:12.133) and Dilan Schwartz (2:12.382) rounded out the top five. 2025 High Point Motocross 450 Moto 1: Haiden Deegan wins, restarts streak
Haiden Deegan did not appreciate being beaten in Thunder Valley, so he got a great start in the High Point Nationals in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, and led every lap on his way to the Moto 1 win. Deegan did not get the holeshot—that honor went to Nate Thrasher—but the defending champion was in the lead by completion of the first lap. That was the first time this year that he's led the first lap. Advertisement Levi Kitchen continues to improve this season and landed second on the chart. Seth Hammaker scored a career-best moto finish of third. The reigning 250 SX East champion, Tom Vialle, was uneven in the first three rounds. He slotted into the fourth position. Chance Hymas was not able to capitalize on his Thunder Valley win after he got a poor start. He advanced into the top five and (barely) kept his chances of an overall win alive. In Race Notes Nate Thrasher earned the holeshot at High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, but Haiden Deegan overtook him before the end of Lap 1. This is the first time in 2025 that he led the first lap. Advertisement Kayden Minear and Drew Adams had strong starts but fell during the first lap That elevated Levi Kitchen to the third position. Seth Hammaker (fourth) and Tom Vialle rounded out the top five. JO Shimoda crashed with 21 minutes on the clock. Chance Hymas was unable to keep his momentum alive from last week's perfect weekend in Colorado. He was ninth on Lap 5. At the halfway point, Thrasher faded to sixth with Michael Mosiman moving into the top five. Mosiman was fifth in Moto 1 at Hangtown before fading to 17th (10th overall) in Moto 2. Hymas moved up to sixth. On Lap 9, Thrasher continued to fade. Hymas was not sixth, which keeps a dim hope for the overall win alive. Advertisement On Lap 12, Hymas made his way to fifth. Julie Beaumer crashed in the second half of the race and fell to 15th on Lap 13.
