Love Island fans in shock as Helena's parents joke with Harry after brutal heartbreak

Daily Mirror5 days ago
The Meet The Family drama continued tonight on Love Island as Helena and Blu's family entered the villa - and fans were left shock over their reaction to Harry
The family drama continued on tonight's Love Island as the rest of the families entered the villa. It was all smiles for Angel, Ty, Conor and Megan when they were treated to a visit to their families - but Harry's face quickly turned when Helena's mum and dad entered.

Things were looking up between Harry and Helena in recent weeks, with Harry even making it exclusive during the Love Island festival. However, things didn't last long as he quickly made a U-Turn, admitting he still had feelings for Shakira.

Helena was left in tears after the admission, and more tears followed after Harry picked Shakira in the latest recoupling. Blu was then left to couple up with Helena, just days before the Islander's families arrived.

It was an awkward one for Harry and Shakira during last night's episode, as Shakira's mum and sister refused to hug Harry after everything he'd put their daughter and Helena through. Just as they were leaving, Harry's mum apologised to Helena on their behalf, while his brother said she would have gotten on with the lads.
Tonight, it was time for Harry to feel the wrath of Helena's mum Jasmine, and dad Phil - or that's what fans thought. 'Is it the real deal what's being going on?' Phil asked Helena, as she responded: 'From my end, it was so genuine and so real.'

It wasn't long before Harry stepped over to apologise, as Phil remarks: 'Ah the man himself.' As Harry proceeded to apologise to Helena's parents, the pair seemed to laugh with him and forgive him for his actions. As he walked away, Helena's mum mouthed that she was "watching Harry," however, the encounter seemed to go down surprisingly well.
"I just wanted to apologise for a lot of my behaviours towards your daughter," Harry said, as her mum told him "she's a strong one." The conversation turned jokey, as Helena said: "Dad said you wore your d**k on your sleeve," as the foursome burst into laughter.

Fans were in shock over how lightly Helena's parents let Harry off, as one penned: "Sooooo baffled by the chat between harry and Helena's parents? they did not give a single f**k lmao," as another said: "How are Helena's parents ok with Harry. They all need to value themselves more, it's not ok and they should have let him know."
"Shakira's family refused to interact with Harry but Helena's parents were laughing with him??? The sense is not sensing," as a fourth agreed: "This is why Helena's parents should've stood on business with Harry now his egos pumped again."
"nah I need harry to be studied cause how he got helena's parents giggling and kicking their feet at a man who mugged off their daughter basically every night?" questioned another.
It came after Helena was left in tears after stating Harry "broke her heart" after he revealed he still had feelings for Shakira.

Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are enjoying a sumemr holiday to Turkey with their daughter Bambi and fans have been kept updated in posts this weekend Former Love Island finalists Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are enjoying a trip abroad with their daughter Bambi. They have shared updates from their latest holiday after Molly-Mae expressed concern over her summer plans. ‌ Molly-Mae, 26, and Tommy, also 26, flew out to Turkey with toddler Bambi, two, recently. The couple have since posted about staying at the coastal resort Regnum The Crown on the vacation, with them giving their fans an insight into the trip in content shared on social media this weekend. ‌ They have been seen enjoying each other's company at the location and taking Bambi to a waterpark on the holiday. It comes after Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones split as he joins a notorious dating app on a lads' holiday. ‌ READ MORE: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry set for new 'goldmine' offer - but could face issue This afternoon, Molly-Mae shared a photo of Bambi sat with Tommy, who had his eyes closed, on a plane. She teased in the caption that was included on the post on her Instagram Story earlier today: "Sleep about to abruptly end." Tommy also shared a photo from the flight that showed Bambi on Molly-Mae's lap. He wrote: "Quality time incoming." Then over a photo of him and Bambi at an airport, he said: "Excited to be somewhere I haven't visited before." ‌ He's since shared updates from their hotel resort, including teasing that he was "staying on plan" when it came to meals. Tommy also uploaded a photo of himself in a gym, with the boxer seen smiling whilst posing for a selfie in a mirror. Following their arrival at the destination, Molly-Mae shared a photo of Tommy and Bambi cuddled up in bed together. She later shared a photo of them lying together on a sun lounger at a water park and told fans: "My favourite view." ‌ Molly-Mae also shared a photo of herself and Bambi at Aqualantis, with them seen on a slide together. Tommy later uploaded footage of the pair on a different slide, with them seen splashing into the water together in his video. The updates from the family's holiday comes after Molly-Mae was seen in tears in a recent vlog following a backlash. She addressed the suggestion that she's "out of touch" after complaining about struggling with parenting lately, including saying she was found a recent motorhome holiday challenging. She told fans in the video: "I feel like I need to keep my camera running all day so you guys like actually just see ... it's like every single thing is a huge problem. Like [Bambi is] screams and can't even get like socks and shoes on." ‌ Addressing potential critics of her vlogs, Molly-Mae added: "I don't care who tells me I'm out of touch with reality or like all this stuff that's going on on TikTok at the minute." She said: "I don't care like I'm not gonna not talk about it." The update came after she was met with criticism after complaining that she hadn't done anything "fun" over the summer. She said in a vlog uploaded last month: "I said to someone the other day, right, that I am gonna make it to the end of summer [having] not done one fun thing." She added: "I haven't socialised once. [...] I haven't done one social, fun thing. I haven't a life. I haven't a life. Oh, it's not good is it? Like I am literally ... summer will end and I won't have done one fun social thing." She gave an example as going out with a friend and their children for the day. Some people however pointed out that in recent weeks Molly had been to Wimbledon and on the motorhome holiday to the Isle of Man, for example.

Chris Hughes axed by BBC in shock career setback after controversial Barbie quip

Chris Hughes will not be returning to his presenting role on the BBC's Hundred cricket competition coverage as insiders say they are 'going in a different direction' controversary Former Love Island star Chris Hughes has reportedly been dropped from his presenting duties with BBC Sport, following his stint on Celebrity Big Brother and romance with Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa. ‌ Chris, 33, has become a familiar face with BBC Sport since 2021 on the BBC's Hundred cricket competition coverage. In the latest news, Chris has been snubbed from the line-up, as an insider says they are 'going in a different direction' just days before the league kicks off. ‌ A BBC insider revealed to The Sun: 'Chris has done a good job for four years, but we're going in a different direction. There will be more focus on the cricket this year, rather than promoting the Hundred as an entertainment show.' ‌ The insider added: 'Former England cricketers Alex Hartley and Isa Guha will lead the presenting team, as they know the sport inside out. Rick Edwards from Radio Five Live will be used in the Chris Hughes role.' The Mirror has contacted Chris Hughes' representatives for comment. ‌ The news follows after the BBC reportedly told the reality star he was 'not appropriate' when he made a comment towards female cricketer Maitlan Brown during the BBC's coverage. Chris made the comment when he was interviewing Southern Brave's Australian star and she mentioned a recent team bonding session. ‌ She said: 'We watched Barbie the other night altogether and it was really good team bonding and the group is gelling really well together. That is the key to success I think in tournaments like this, how well and how quickly you can gel as a group.' Chris quickly said in response: 'You're a little Barbie yourself innit, with your blue eyes', to which Maitlan awkwardly laughed. Shortly after the interview, the BBC confirmed that they discussed the incident with Chris, as a spokesperson told Mail Sport: 'We have spoken to Chris and explained that his comment was not appropriate.' It follows after Chris officially confirmed his relationship with JoJo Siwa, just months after meeting on Celebrity Big Brother UK and sparking headlines with their unexpectedly close bond. ‌ Initially describing their connection as a 'soulmate friendship,' the relationship turned romantic in June following a holiday and affectionate social media posts. To mark National Girlfriends Day on August 1, Chris shared a photo on Instagram that showed them cosied up together, with him writing in the caption of the post: "This is my GF." Chris shared a series of posts on Snapchat for the occasion too, including him having uploaded several photos of the pair together. Alongside one of the photos, he wrote in a caption: "National GF day so here so is, my universe."

Jack Osbourne's siblings from sister that fled family home to adopted brother

Jack Osbourne is about to return to TV screens this weekend as the world mourns the loss of his famous father The Osbourne family is mourning the loss of their beloved patriarch, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who sadly passed away at 76 on 22 July. ‌ As they grapple with their grief, Ozzy's youngest son, Jack, is set to make a return to television just days after his father's passing, as he takes part in the fifth series of ITV's celebrity cooking show, Cooking with the Stars. ‌ The programme, hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen, was pre-recorded before Ozzy's untimely death. Jack will be competing against a host of famous faces including Love Island's Ekin-Su, EastEnders ' Natalie Cassidy and former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips. ‌ Each celebrity is paired with a culinary expert who guides them through each round, but those with the lowest scores face a cook-off without any help from their mentors, who can only watch from the sidelines. In a cruel twist, the mentors of those in the bottom two will have to endure a blind taste test to decide who progresses to the next round, potentially sending their own protege packing. Jack, a familiar face on television, is set to appear on the show this Sunday, 3rd August, at 8pm on ITV1, reports the Express. ‌ Throughout Ozzy's life, unbeknownst to many, the rockstar fathered six children, meaning Jack has five siblings - not just Kelly, who is widely known as his sister from MTV's At Home with the Osbournes. Before Sharon and Ozzy said 'I do', the Black Sabbath icon had been previously married. He met his first wife Thelma Riley in a Birmingham nightclub before they tied the knot and welcomed two biological children, Jessica, 53, and Louis, 50. Thelma was already a mother to five-year-old Elliot from a previous relationship when she met the lead singer. Ozzy would later adopt Elliot and raise him as his own. ‌ However, the three children don't have fond childhood memories with their daredevil dad. In a 2011 documentary (produced by Jack Osbourne), when Ozzy is asked about Louis and Jessica's birthdays, he fails to remember when each of them were born. In the same series, Louis revealed details about growing up with Ozzy: "When he was around and he wasn't [drunk], he was a great father. But that was kind of rare, really. I just have a lot of memories of him being drunk, random s**t like driving cars across fields and crashing them in the middle of the night and stuff like that. ‌ "It's not good for family life, really," he admitted in the documentary. His elder sister, Jessica also remarked: "I don't remember being put to bed or having a bath by dad or anything like that. I wouldn't say he was there for us, no, never on sports day, school trip, parents' evening. He wasn't like that, no." In 1982, Ozzy and Thelma divorced and that same year he wed Sharon, his manager at the time. Twelve months later, they welcomed their first daughter Aimee on September 2nd 1983, with their second daughter Kelly born on October 27, 1984. They eventually welcomed their youngest child, Jack on November 8, 1985. ‌ Whilst many fans know two of Sharon and Ozzy's offspring - Jack and Kelly - Aimee chose to stay out of the spotlight when the former X Factor judge decided to allow MTV's cameras into their home. Refusing to participate in filming, she left the family residence in the early 2000s to pursue her own musical career, performing under her initials ARO. In a previous interview with the Independent, she looked back on her choice to step away. She confided in the magazine: "Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television? I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable." ‌ In a 2008 interview with the same publication, Aimee defended her decision: "I'm not some weirdo depressed daughter that's afraid of the world and locks herself in her room all day. I just didn't choose to do the show. I want to be a singer, and I felt if I'd stayed with the Osbournes and done the whole thing I would have been typecast right away. "[Sharon] was hurt, and we definitely had a tough time with disagreements. I'm more reserved and my private life is very important." In 2021, it emerged that Sharon's two daughters were actually estranged from one another. Discussing her relationship with Aimee on the Dax Shepard podcast, Kelly admitted: "We don't talk. We're just really different. She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her." Despite the tension between the two sisters, it appears Aimee has a much stronger bond with her younger brother Jack, as they both co-run the production company Osbourne Media together.
