Katy Perry Chimes in About Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos' Wedding as Orlando Bloom Attends Solo
On Friday, June 27, celebrity hairstylist Rick Henry posted an Instagram carousel with photos of Sánchez, 55, rocking a white skirt and shirt combo, black sunglasses, and a scarf over her hair.
The 'Firework' singer, 40, left a sweet comment on the post, writing, 'WAIT THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE LEWK.'
The pop star and Sánchez, 55, are well acquainted, having both embarked on the history making all-female Blue Origin space mission in April. However, Perry is currently in Australia for her Lifetimes Tour, which could explain her absence from the Venice wedding.
Meanwhile, Sánchez expressed that Perry's absence was felt at the festivities. 'We miss you, Katy ❤️,' she wrote on the former American Idol judge's most recent Instagram post, which featured photos of her in Australia.
Since arriving in Italy solo, the newly single Pirates of the Caribbean star, 48, has been spotted socializing with Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, as well as music mogul Scooter Braun at the luxurious Gritti Palace Hotel, according to photos published by the Daily Mail on Thursday, June 26.
Perry's comment to Sánchez comes after the news broke on Wednesday, June 25, that she and the Lord of the Rings actor had ended their six-year engagement, with a source confirming to Us Weekly that 'Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable.'
'It's not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life,' the source explained, referring to her marriage to Russell Brand.
The source added that the breakup was 'a long time coming' because things 'have been tense for months' and that Perry is 'distracted' and 'keeping busy' with her tour, which will run through December.
A few days before reports of the split, Bloom was spotted in Perth, Australia, with the couple's 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, while Perry performed there, according to photos obtained by TMZ.
Bloom and Perry began dating in 2016 and were in an on-again, off-again relationship. Bloom proposed to her on Valentine's Day in 2019, and the pair welcomed Daisy in August 2020.
Before her relationship with Bloom, Perry was married to Brand from 2010 until their 2012 divorce.
As for Bloom, he was previously married to model Miranda Kerr — whom he shares son Flynn, 14 with — from 2010 to 2013.
