The video drew criticism, with several social media users demanding strict action against the 'hooligans.' A user wrote, 'Seems like jungleraaj is running gurgaon similar to lalu yadav time Bihar. These people have free land money that they sold when real-estate prices went high in gurgaon. They are all chapris. They think road is also their father's property creating ruckus.'
Another user commented, 'shifted from delhi to gurugram hoping for a better life , realising some day that its worst here . no covic sense , no traffic sense , unplanned city , no traffic police. on roads, wrong lane driving everywhere, black thars, scorpios could be seen threatning.'
'Trust no action will be taken, men in uniform will be shaken by the cost of these vehicles to understand panga nahin lene ka… hence the courage of these pathetic lunatics,' a third user reacted.

Gunfire at Sidhu Moosewala Memorial in Dabwali sparks outrage, Lawrence gang claims responsibility
Chandigarh, Aug 5 (UNI) A recent act of vandalism involving gunfire at a memorial statue of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala has triggered a wave of anger and sorrow across fans and family alike. The incident, which occurred late at night in the Dabwali region of Haryana, was reportedly carried out by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Unidentified assailants opened fire on the statue erected in Moosewala's memory, causing visible damage and leaving bullet shells scattered at the scene. Authorities have since registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Reacting to the attack, Sidhu Moosewala's mother, Charan Kaur, issued a deeply emotional statement on social media, calling the incident a "wound to the soul". 'This is not just an attack on a stone statue,' she wrote in her Instagram post. 'This is an assault on the memory of our son, on the love and respect people had for him.' Charan Kaur expressed deep disappointment over what she described as repeated efforts to erase the legacy of her son. She said that while Moosewala is no longer alive to speak for justice and truth, attempts are still being made to silence his voice and influence. 'My son stood for the rights of the people. Even after his death, efforts are being made to silence his memory. But let me be clear—he cannot be erased. He was a wave, and waves don't die,' she added. In her message, Charan Kaur also warned those responsible that silence from her side should not be mistaken for weakness. 'Our silence is not defeat. Everyone who commits wrong will face justice someday,' she wrote. Soon after the attack, a chilling development followed. Social media posts surfaced, allegedly from Lawrence gang members Goldy Dhillon and Arzoo Bishnoi, claiming responsibility for the act. The posts also contained direct threats to political figures such as Digvijay Chautala and Gagan Kokri, warning them against promoting Moosewala as a martyr. The gang accused these individuals of misleading the public by glorifying Moosewala and threatened 'serious consequences' if such actions continue. Law enforcement agencies are currently verifying the authenticity of the social media posts and assessing the credibility of the threats. Meanwhile, increased security has been deployed at the memorial site and surrounding areas as a precautionary measure. The incident has sparked widespread condemnation from Moosewala's fans, civil rights groups, and members of the Punjabi music industry. Many see this not only as an act of criminal intimidation but also as an attack on the cultural and emotional legacy of a beloved artist. Local residents in Dabwali expressed shock and dismay over the attack. 'This is not just about Sidhu Moosewala. It's about the culture and voice he represented,' said one fan. Sidhu Moosewala, known for his powerful lyrics and raw storytelling, was tragically shot dead in May 2022. His death sent shockwaves through the music industry and his fan base worldwide, especially in Punjab and Canada. Since then, Moosewala has come to be seen by many as a symbol of defiance and youth resistance. The local police have launched a detailed probe into the incident. Forensic teams have collected bullet casings and CCTV footage from the area is being examined. Authorities have neither confirmed nor denied the involvement of the Lawrence gang officially, pending further evidence. Senior police officials stated that they are taking the matter seriously and will pursue all leads to bring the perpetrators to justice. 'We are investigating from every possible angle. No one involved in this cowardly act will be spared,' a senior police officer stated. The state government has yet to issue an official statement on the incident, though political pressure is mounting to act swiftly against organized criminal networks operating across the Punjab-Haryana belt. Scroll call: Eyes on screen, hands off safety on Ahmedabad's roads
1 2 Doomscrolling takes on a new meaning on the city's roads. The seemingly harmless act of glancing at Instagram notifications or scrolling through social media while navigating traffic has become a public safety concern, with accident data revealing that casual mobile use behind the wheel poses far greater risks than many drivers realise. Using a mobile phone while driving is considered dangerous driving under Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 . The recent amendments to it, implemented this March, raise fines for mobile use while driving, with first-time offenders facing fines of up to Rs 5,000 (up from Rs 500) for four-wheeler drivers and Rs 10,000 for repeat offenders. Fines for two-wheelers remain Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 for first and repeat offences, respectively. "Two-wheeler riders using mobiles while driving are a recipe for disaster," said Amit Khatri, a road safety expert and consultant. "To maintain optimum responsiveness and balance, both hands must be on the handlebars. Earphone use also poses a risk as in-ear music distorts external sounds, impairing judgment," he said, highlighting the risks involved. Khatri identified the 18-35 demographic, especially college students and office-goers, as the most frequent violators of these safety protocols. "Only stricter fine enforcement and vigilant policing can bring in behavioural change among riders, which is needed to curb this trend," he said. Of these, two-wheeler riders alone accounted for 8,086 cases. "Two-wheeler riders are the most common mobile-use offenders and also the vehicle group most involved in accidents and resulting fatalities," said joint commissioner of police (traffic) N N Chaudhari. Though a 2023 tender from the Ahmedabad Smart City Company (ASCC) proposed AI software upgrades for the city's CCTV e-memo issuing cameras, expanding its scope of detecting traffic violations from the current three infractions — jumping red lights, crossing stop lines and exceeding speed limits — to 32 offences, including using mobiles while driving, the proposed change has yet to be implemented.
