Sources say that the 56-year-old Wolverine star seems unconcerned about bucks despite having to shell out a 'huge' settlement to his 69-year-old ex after a judge signed off on their $387 million divorce.
'Hugh is so relieved this is all wrapped up, and is looking ahead and planning out the rest of his life with Sutton,' says an insider.
As Globe has revealed, Deborra-Lee and the muscle-packed movie superhero announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage, during which they adopted two children, Oscar, now 25, and Ava, 20.
The end of one of Hollywood's most enduring marriages came amid shocking buzz that Hugh had fallen for Sutton, 50, his costar in the Broadway revival of The Music Man.
Sutton filed for divorce from her screenwriter husband, Ted Griffin, in October, stating in court papers that a custody arrangement for their daughter, Emily, adopted in April 2017 when she was an infant, would need to be decided.
Hugh and Sutton went public with their romance in January after being spied holding hands during a date night in Santa Monica, Calif.
'An engagement is inevitable,' says the insider. 'Just as soon as she and her ex, Ted, are officially done, Hugh will be going down on one knee and making things official. They've both talked about it for a while now and Hugh insists he doesn't want or need a prenup.'
'He has all these ambitious plans to go into business with Sutton. His rationale is that anything they make would be a 50-50 split and he'll hold onto what he walked into the marriage with anyhow.'
'But the fact remains that he's going to make so much more than her with his movie and Broadway career, so the folks who handle his finances are imploring him to reconsider.'

‘Ketamine Queen' accused of selling Matthew Perry fatal dose gets trial date
A woman charged with selling actor Matthew Perry the dose of ketamine that killed him is headed for a September trial. Jasveen Sangha's trial — the only one forthcoming in the death of the Friends star after four other defendants reached plea agreements with prosecutors — is now set to begin on September 23 after an order on Tuesday from a judge in Los Angeles. The 42-year-old Sangha, who prosecutors say was known to her customers as the Ketamine Queen, is charged with five counts of ketamine distribution, including one count of distribution resulting in death. She has pleaded not guilty and has been held in custody since her arrest last year. Her trial had been scheduled to start August 19, but the judge postponed it for the fourth time since her April 2024 indictment after both sides agreed it should be moved. Sangha's lawyers said they needed the time to go through the huge amount of evidence they have received from the prosecution and to finish their own investigation. Sangha was one of the two biggest targets in the investigation of Perry's death, along with Dr Salvador Plasencia, who pleaded guilty to ketamine distribution last month. Perry's personal assistant, his friend and another doctor also entered guilty pleas and are co-operating with prosecutors. All are awaiting sentencing. Perry, who was found dead at age 54 at his home on October 23 2023, had been getting ketamine from his regular doctor for treatment of depression, an increasingly common off-label use for the surgical anaesthetic. But prosecutors say when the doctor would not give Perry as much as he wanted, he illegally sought more from Plasencia, then still more from Sangha, who they say presented herself as 'a celebrity drug dealer with high quality goods'. Perry's assistant and friend said in their plea agreements that they acted as middlemen to buy large amounts of ketamine for Perry from Sangha, including 25 vials for 6,000 dollars in cash a few days before his death. Prosecutors allege that included the doses that killed Perry.

Fox is beefing up its streaming business with Fox One, the company's new subscription streaming platform. The service will launch on Aug. 21 with a price tag of $20 a month or $200 annually. Fox's complete TV portfolio will be available on Fox One, and sports fans will be able to stream MLB and NFL games that air on the network. Whether you're interested in streaming live or on-demand, which, according to the press release, will be seamlessly integrated in a "cohesive experience," all of Fox's programming portfolio will be available at your fingertips. Fox News Channel, Fox Nation, Fox Sports, B1G, FS1, FS2, local Fox stations and the Fox Network are part of the programming along with other brand channels and content. "In bringing together the full power of the FOX content portfolio in one service, we have created a great value proposition and user experience that will appeal to the cord-cutter and cord-never fans currently not served by conventional pay TV packages," Pete Distad, CEO, Direct to Consumer, Fox Corporation, said in a statement. Subscribers can bundle Fox One and Fox Nation for $25 a month. If you decide to purchase the annual plan at the time of launch, you'll lock in a price equivalent of $20 per month. The news comes ahead of Disney's launch of its new standalone ESPN streaming service that's slated for this fall. Fox was originally set to partner with the House of Mouse and Warner Bros. Discovery on Venu Sports, but the venture was shuttered in January with each company pursuing their own streaming projects.
