WHEN it comes to romantic getaways most will consider Paris and Santorini, but one took their partner on a trip to Wales.
After going on a romantic escape to Venice with his boyfriend, Ross Whyatt decided to return the favour by booking them on a Gavin and Stacey tour in Wales.

Ross had just spent a relaxing weekend basking in the sunshine, sipping on Aperol Spritz and eating delicious pizza.
He was taken to the Italian city as a treat by his boyfriend, Riccardo Gugliermini.
As it goes in relationships Ross decided to do something equally as thoughtful in return - and decided to book a trip to Barry in Wales.
The pair had become big fans after watching the final episode at Christmas.
Ross revealed to What's The Jam that they binged the whole series and as Riccardo had been "quoting it all year" it only felt right to visit.
Ross took to social media to document their experience revealing that on the tour, a knock-off version of Nessa welcomes guests on board a coach.
And they recite Smithy's very lengthy Indian takeaway order.
There's even a group sing-along to gets spirits high, and Riccardo showed off his Pam Shipman top.
It turned out not that many people knew about the tour with one commenting on Ross' video: "Omg, I had no idea you could do a Gav and Stace tour with Nessa, this is mint."
Another remarked that it was "the height of British culture.'

Ross added: 'Riccardo came back home with all the merch, including a mug, magnet and t-shirt - we had the absolute best time.
'It's part of the fun of being in a multicultural relationship, I'm slowly learning Italian and enjoying his cooking. I've introduced him to Greggs, Yorkshire puddings and a chippy tea.
'I'm also getting him into other British comedy classics, like Outnumbered, Peep Show and The Inbetweeners. But Gavin and Stacey is his favourite."
Although Ross admitted that he'd rather do a week in Venice over a day out in Barry, Riccardo disagreed.
For anyone who wants to head over to do Barry to do some film location sight-seeing themselves, make sure to visit Trinity Street in Barry is home to the homes of Gwen, Uncle Bryn, and Doris.
On Barry Island itself there's the famous Marco's Cafe and the arcade where Nessa worked the slots.
Up the road is The Colcot Arms aka Smithy's local Essex hangout and of course the Tadross Hotel which doubles as The Dolphin.
Here's more about Barry from a local who lived there before it was made famous by Gavin and Stacey.
She reveals more about what Barry was like in the days of the Butlin's resort on Nell's Point
Here's even more on Barry Island which is loved by huge Hollywood star has beachfront theme park and new attraction.
Here's where you can find the Victorian pub where Gavin and Stacey's final scenes were filmed.

Ex-Game of Thrones star makes history after breaking deadlift record AGAIN and his celeb fans rush to congratulate him

Ex-Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson has broken the world deadlift record again after benching an impressive 505kg. The actor and bodybuilder, 36, who is best known for portraying The Mountain on the series, proudly shared the achievement over on his Instagram during the weekend. It's not the first time he's made history, as back in 2022 he competed in the same challenge and became the champion of lifting a whopping 500kg. Taking to social media on Sunday, the GoT star wrote: '505kg WORLD RECORD! History made again' alongside the video. Celebs including Terry Crews and Arnold Schwarzenegger commented on the video, celebrating his win. Hafthor barely even flinched as he squatted down to lift the mind-boggling amount of weight. He could be seen straining as he completed the exercise in perfect form - beating World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall to the crown. The former World's Strongest Man who played a bone-crushing character in the hit show consumes three meals and three snacks daily, all adding up to 8,000 calories. The Icelandic native said they are vital to maintain his Herculean frame — with the 6-foot 9-inch strongman weighing in at 423lbs. Revealing his daily meal plan in a YouTube video, Bjornsson said every morning begins with three eggs, 1lb of cooked rice, half a cup of strawberries and two cups of milk. He also has a shake that consists of one cup of orange juice, nearly one cup of Skyr yogurt and half a cup of blueberries. He then returns to the kitchen for a 'snack' of a 4oz steak, nearly two more cups of rice, half a cup of vegetables and an avocado. He has the same for lunch, skipping the avocado, before washing everything down with another shake without the blueberries. The amazing win comes not long after the actor and his wife Kelsey shared an emotional post on the anniversary of the devastating day they lost their daughter. Back in November, the Icelandic strongman and his wife expressed their grief as they mourned their baby girl Grace with a poignant, joint Instagram post. Björnsson and his wife lost their second baby after suffering from a miscarriage. In a lengthy post, the couple addressed their daughter: 'One year. 365 days have passed since your day of birth. 366 days have passed since we learned of your death in my womb. One year, 365 days, without you here, with us.' The pair included photos of the brief time they had with their baby daughter. 'You didn't get to feel the comfort of my arms or breast. You didn't get to look up and see my face or your daddy's face. 'We didn't get to see your first smile, your first tooth, your first giggle. We didn't get to clap and cheer when you first sat up or pulled yourself to stand,' they wrote. 'So many firsts that we will be missing for the entirety of our lives.' The pair explained that they were sharing their post to bring awareness and reduce the stigma of miscarriages and pregnancy loss.

Gabby Logan recalls crushing low point after brutal Strictly Come Dancing exit

Gabby Logan has cast her mind back to her experiences on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing - and admits she was left fearing the nation hated her as she failed to secure votes Gabby Logan has candidly reflected on a time she felt she was deeply unpopular. The 52-year-old radio and television presenter is best known for hosting sports programs for the BBC, ITV and Channel 5. ‌ In August this year, she will land arguably her biggest job to date - as a new host of Match of the Day following the exit of controversial footballer Gary Lineker. But it is not just giving her two pence about on-pitch action that has drawn attention to Gabs. ‌ She has also enjoyed a foray into the world of competitive reality shows - popping up to present shows like the diving competition Splash! and celebrity sheep herding show Flockstars. Back in 2007, however, Gabby stepped out from behind her presenting lectern to be a contestants on hit show Strictly Come Dancing. ‌ The star was partnered with professional dancer James Jordan and, being season five of the long-running show, this was the time when Tess Daly and the late Sir Bruce Forsyth were hosts of the show. The judging panel consisted of Arlene Phillips, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and the late Len Goodman. While Gabby made it through three rounds of the show before she was voted off, she is convinced that she became a hate figure during her time on the ballroom floor. She featured on the series at the same time as her husband, Kenny Logan - was also competing with Gabby's dance partner James' wife Ola Jordan. ‌ Wales Online quotes Gabby saying: "I had an amazing experience on Strictly, I was only on it for a few weeks, but I had an amazing experience — but also, a kind of life-changing experience in many ways." She elaborated: "[It] sounds a bit dramatic, and you hear people going 'Strictly changed my life', but this wasn't in a good way." Giving more clarity, she went on: "When you get voted out of Strictly, it's so shocking, because you go in every week starting to work on your following week's dance, and you don't expect to go home." ‌ And she revealed she was left being "very much aware that people didn't like" her during her time on the show. She also told Jessica Ennis on the Gold Minds podcast: "It was the fact that obviously people didn't vote for me — and it sounds a bit pathetic — but you realise when it's a reality show that it's about whether people like you. And I was very much aware that people didn't like me. ‌ "I was kind of like, they didn't like me enough to vote for me... It was a very sobering kind of experience because in the days afterwards, not only was I dreadfully missing the dancing, but also realising I kind of felt like, 'Oh, what was it about me that people didn't relate to?'" While Gabby and James crashed out in week four, her rugby star husband managed to make it through five more weeks before he too was voted off. Their season was awash with big name star - with Sir Rod Stewart's wife, Penny Lancaster, acting legend Stephanie Beacham, and model bombshell Kelly Brook were among those taking to the dance floor. The finalists that season included EastEnders star Matt Di Angelo and TV presenter Gethin Jones. While Mis-Teeq singer Alesha Dixon proved to be the victor of the show - and later became a judge on the series before being poached to judge on Britain's Got Talent.

‘America's favourite dancer' joins Strictly line-up

'America's favourite dancer' will join Strictly Come Dancing. Alexis Warr, who was given the accolade in 2022 for winning the television show So You Think You Can Dance, will seek to make a similar impression on British audiences when the new series airs this autumn. She will be joined by another newcomer, Julian Caillon, the Australian ballroom dancer and physiologist. The announcement comes amid changes to the Strictly line-up following a series of scandals on the show. Giovanni Pernice was left out of the 2024 line-up following an accusation by Amanda Abbington, the actress and former dance partner, of 'inappropriate, mean, nasty and bullying' behaviour in training. He was cleared of any physical wrongdoing following a BBC investigation, but a complaint was upheld for his use of 'belittling' language. Fellow Italian Graziano di Prima was initially confirmed for the 2024 series, but was let go by the BBC after reports of misconduct with his partner Zara McDermott. In an Instagram post at the time, he wrote: 'I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly. My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime. Respecting the BBC HR process, I understand it's best for the show that I step away.' Warr said: 'I've admired Strictly for years, so joining this incredible family is such an honour. I can't wait to step into the ballroom, pour my heart into every moment, and share my love of dance with the UK.' Caillon, who shares videos on social media of his work training with the elderly, added: 'I've watched it for years, especially cheering on all the amazing dancers I know and work with who've been part of it. I can't wait to get stuck in, have some fun, and be part of something special.' The new pair will join fellow professionals Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola.
