Harris' mom is the director of a homeless shelter and struggles to get repairs in her home.
PIX11 reached out to NYCHA.
A spokesperson says NYCHA is aware of mounting physical needs at Wilson Houses and has allocated additional staff to address necessary repairs for residents over the course of the coming weeks.
Residents needing assistance are encouraged to call the Customer Contact Center at (718) 707-7771 or submit work tickets through the MyNYCHA application. Residents who have already contacted the NYCHA's Customer Contact Center but still have mold or leak-related concerns can contact the NYCHA Compliance Department at compliance@nycha.nyc.gov or the independent court-appointed Ombudsperson Call Center at 1-888-341-7152 or at nyc.com.

20-foot whale dies after being hit by a boat in NJ: Officials
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A boat hit a whale in Barnegat Bay Saturday afternoon, sending one of its passengers overboard, according to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center. The incident happened around 3:40 p.m., when a vessel struck a 20-foot minke whale, according to the center. The boat almost capsized and the whale died, officials said. More Local News The whale was found on a sandbar outside the channel. The whale will be moved on Monday and the Marine Mammal Stranding Center will conduct a necropsy to determine how it died. 'Boaters should be advised to use caution in the area north of Double Creek Channel in Barnegat Bay and to keep a minimum of 150 feet away from the whale carcass for your safety,' representatives of the center said in a post to Facebook. A video posted to social media seemingly shows the incident, as a whale struggles near the back of the boat and a person falls off the back of the boat. Onlookers can be heard yelling 'shut the motor off' and 'man overboard' before the whale struggles to swim off. Four men held onto sinking boat for an hour in Long Island Sound: SCPD
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) – Four men held onto a sinking boat for an hour before being rescued in the Long Island Sound, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. The men, all from Connecticut, were found around 12:07 a.m. Sunday near Stratford Shoal, police said. The 20-foot center console power boat had overturned, police said. Endangered goats born at the Bronx Zoo
THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — About a dozen baby goats from an endangered species were recently born at the Bronx Zoo. The zoo welcomed 11 Turkmenian markhor kids this spring, and more might be on the way, according to a spokesperson for the Bronx Zoo. Markhor goats, which are native to the mountains of Central Asia, are known for their dramatic spiraled horns. They are considered highly endangered, the spokesperson said.
