The Latest Update About ‘Dept. Q' Season 2 On Netflix
While the Netflix Top 10 list may be mostly dominated by the likes of Ginny and Georgia and Sirens, one new show is sliding under the radar, even if it never landed a #1 spot.
That would be Dept. Q, the new British murder mystery series starring Matthew Goode as a traditionally reckless-but-brilliant cop tasked with solving cold cases. It may sound cliché, but it's quite good, and has racked up an 84% critic score and a very high 94% audience score. Now, fans want answers about a season 2.
It's not time to worry…yet. No, the show is not a miniseries which would discourage a season 2 ruling this out, and despite that, no, it has not been renewed yet. But Dept. Q only was released at the very end of May, and it hasn't even been out two weeks yet. That's not particularly long for Netflix, and we often see renewals a month or more after release if we're not talking about blockbuster hits.

Deadline said they believe there is 'zero doubts' about a second season, and one point in the show's favor is that it's based on a series of books, and there are ten of them for a sprawling amount of source material.
I'm not going to go full Deadline here and say there are 'zero" doubts that Dept. Q gets renewed for season 2, but I am leaning in an optimistic direction. Netflix loves crime series. There's lots of source material to pull from. It has been well-received by critics and viewers. It has a stellar cast but not a wildly expensive one, and the same is true for being a grounded crime series rather than some huge blockbuster. All the signs are there that this is going to work out, but fans should be patient as for most Netflix series, this kind of thing doesn't happen overnight.

She went to Juilliard, thank God. She actually finished high school. And what I did learn [about mothering] is that nobody listens. So it's really about being there for [my kids] rather than telling them what to do,' she said. Pulp Fiction, about two hitmen — portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta — and how their exploits intersect with the lives of a cast of characters existing in the criminal underworld of Los Angeles, also stars Bruce Willis, Tim Roth, Christopher Walken and Harvey Keitel. Considered Tarantino's magnum opus, the flick was nominated for seven Oscars, winning for Best Original Screenplay. Oasis at Manchester Heaton Park set list for Sunday July 20
Oasis have now bid farewell to Heaton Park following their stellar run of Manchester shows this past week. Their five performances at Heaton Park will have attracted close to 350,000 fans across the five dates and have been hailed as a big return to form for the iconic local band. The Live '25 tour marks the first time Liam and Noel Gallagher have reunited on stage in nearly 16 years, following their split in 2009. But when they announced last summer they were coming back, it sent fans in a frenzy to secure tickets. Some ten million people tried to secure tickets for their run of UK and Ireland shows, as fans came up against inflated ticket prices due to dynamic pricing and other sales issues. Thankfully, the set list for the 2025 tour appealed fans thanks to a mixture of some of their most anthemic hits, fan favourites and popular B-Sides. Of course, they wouldn't get away from playing Wonderwall or Don't Look Back In Anger. Following the conclusion of Manchester shows, Oasis will nowplay Wembley Stadium in London across five dates between July 25 and August 3. Christina Aguilera is gushing over Burlesque the Musical. On Saturday (July 19), the 44-year-old pop icon attended the stage adaptation of Steven Antin's 2010 film Burlesque, in which she starred as an aspiring performer opposite Cher, who played a glamorous nightclub owner. 'BLOWN AWAY!!!' she captioned an Instagram video of herself at the show, set to her track 'Show Me How You Burlesque,' from the original Burlesque soundtrack. The short clip shows Aguilera — an executive producer of the musical — smiling and clapping during the performance, with scenes from the production spliced throughout. 'My review of Burlesque the Musical,' the 'Genie in a Bottle' singer wrote over the video, adding five stars. After Saturday's show, Burlesque the Musical shared clips on Instagram of Aguilera arriving at the theater, waving to fans while wearing a sheer black outfit. The 10-song Burlesque soundtrack — featuring music written and produced by Diane Warren, Sia, Tricky Stewart, Ron Fair, Linda Perry and Aguilera — reached No. 18 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in 2010. Burlesque the Musical made its world premiere in June at the Manchester Opera House and is now playing at London's Savoy Theatre through early September. Written and produced by Antin, the stage adaptation features songs by Aguilera and Sia, along with new music by Todrick Hall and Jess Folley.
