How to watch Pokemon Presents July 2025 and what to expect from the showcase

Daily Mirror2 days ago
The Pokemon Presents July 2025 showcase is just around the corner, and should provide fans with a glimpse into the future of the Pokemon franchise. Here's everything you need to know about the presentation
The Pokemon franchise is set to receive a fresh jolt of excitement with the upcoming Pokemon Presents showcase, and fans are eagerly anticipating some major announcements.
A new Pokemon Presents showcase is on the horizon, which comes as a relief for players who have been yearning for more content. Naturally, the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 has kept many gamers engaged, with Scarlet and Violet being among the games optimised for the Nintendo Switch 2 to ensure top-notch performance and superior visuals. This significant step has breathed new life into these games.

However, aside from that, the only other offering from the Pokemon franchise currently is Pokemon Legends Z-A. There's ample scope for other titles from the franchise to join the new generation in the 2025 Nintendo Switch 2 games line-up.

That's why the forthcoming Pokemon Presents showcase, due to arrive imminently, is so intriguing. We could either be treated to a mundane array of updates to the franchise's lesser-known titles or witness some game-changing revelations that pave the way for a brand-new generation of games.
Whether this will be a showcase to remember remains to be seen, but we'll certainly be tuning in. So, how exactly can you watch the showcase? And what should we expect from it? Here's your guide to watching the upcoming Pokemon Presents.

How to watch Pokemon Presents July 2025
The Pokemon Presents July 2025 showcase is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22 at 6am PDT / 9am EDT / 2pm BST. The event can be viewed on the Pokemon YouTube channel, and we'll embed the YouTube link in this article once it's available.
Nintendo has yet to disclose the duration of this showcase, but based on previous presentations in this category, which typically last between 10 and 20 minutes, we anticipate a similar timeframe for this one as well.
So, what's in store for us in the Pokemon Presents July 2025 showcase?
Predicting exactly what the upcoming Pokemon Presents showcase will bring is tricky, especially with Pokemon Legends Z-A still in the pipeline and ample gameplay footage already circulating online. The game's release date is already set in stone, so it seems unlikely that we'll see any major revelations for this title, save perhaps for some plot twists or new Mega Evolutions – hence, an unannounced game and updates to existing live service titles seem more probable.
We're likely to see fresh additions to Pokemon Cafe Mix, Unite, Sleep, GO, TCG Pocket and more. These games frequently feature new elements in Pokemon Presents showcases and invariably form the main content of each presentation. We're also keen to learn more about the second series of Pokemon Concierge, due to hit Netflix this coming September.
There are many uncertainties here, but regardless, we can anticipate some thrilling news for Pokemon enthusiasts. Let's hope for some major reveals, such as the anticipated new generation, although it's incredibly difficult to guarantee something like that. Keep your hopes up, and we might just get lucky.

Beyonce and Jay-Z to COMPETE against each other for an Emmy after Grammys controversy

Beyonce and husband Jay-Z are set to go head-to-head as they compete for an Emmy after receiving nominations in the same category. The A-list couple - who tied the knot in 2008 - garnered nods for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) as the nominees were officially announced on Tuesday ahead of the 77th Emmy Awards on September 14. The Crazy In Love songstress, 43, was nominated for her NFL Halftime Show called the Beyonce Bowl which aired on Netflix on Christmas Day. And the Empire State Of Mind rapper landed a spot in the same category for being an executive producer for Kendrick Lamar 's Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in February. It comes one year after Jay-Z called out the Recording Academy over his wife not winning Album of the Year, despite having 'more Grammys than everyone.' Beyonce also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for her Beyonce Bowl. Her halftime performance aired live on Netflix on Christmas Day as the Houston Texans took on the Baltimore Ravens. The beauty belted out tunes from her Cowboy Carter album - and at one point was also joined by her eldest child Blue Ivy. The Beyonce Bowl broke a number of records, and became the most-watched NFL game since 2001. During her performance alone, 27 million viewers tuned in to watch and 10 days afterwards, it was revealed that an additional 50 million viewers watched the special on the streaming site. Her halftime show was also released on Netflix as a stand-alone special two days later - which spanned over the course of around 20 minutes. Jay-Z was also one of the executive producers for the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show which Kendrick Lamar headlined earlier this year in February. The anticipated match took place in New Orleans and saw the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs. The halftime show also broke records and became the most-watched with 133.5 million viewers, per Billboard. The record had been announced by Apple Music, NFL and also Roc Nation only days after the game. Over on Instagram, the companies issued a statement which read: 'We've broken the record again! The most watched Apple Music Halftime show EVER, with 133.5 Million viewers.' Beyonce Bowl also received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Production Design and Outstanding Choreography. Kendrick Lamar's halftime show also garnered nods for Outstanding Directing, Outstanding Music Production and Outstanding Choreography. Beyonce and Jay-Z competing for the same award comes a little over one year since the rapper called out the Grammys over his wife not winning Album of the Year. He made the public comment to the crowd as he accepted the 2024 Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. At one point, the performer expressed: 'I'm just saying we want you to get it right. We love y'all. We want you to get it right, at least get it close to right. 'And obviously it's subjective - you don't have to clap at everything - because it's music and it's opinion-based.' Jay-Z then added, 'I don't want to embarrass this young lady but she has more Grammys than anyone and never won Album of the Year so even by your own metrics that doesn't work. 'Think about that. The most Grammys, never won Album of the Year. That doesn't work. 'Some of you going to go home tonight and think you've been robbed. Some of you may get robbed, some of you don't belong in the category. When I get nervous, I tell the truth. He then shared, 'But outside of that, we got to keep showing up - and forget the Grammys for a second, just in life.' Beyonce had notably been sitting in the audience during her husband's speech and held an apprehensive expression on her face. However, earlier this year in February during the 2025 Grammy Awards, the songstress finally scored her first Album of the Year win for Cowboy Carter. The 77th Annual Emmy Awards are to set to take place in Los Angeles on September 14 - with Nick Bargatze taking on hosting duties. Beyonce has been keeping busy as she is currently embarking on her Cowboy Carter Tour. The star recently made a major change to her Cowboy Carter tour just weeks after the singer was left hanging midair during a terrifying stunt. She took to the stage in Atlanta last week on Thursday where she debuted a mechanical gold horse which she rode inside the Mercedes- Benz Stadium. Up until last month, she had ridden on a red Cadillac convertible which would suspend over the crowd - but the prop began to suddenly tilt amid her June 28 concert in Houston which caused the singer to abruptly stop the show. However, Beyonce has since made the slight alteration to her tour last week with the flying gold horse. She notably sits on the prop as it soars through the air while belting out her country track 16 Carriages. It is not the first time that the songstress has used a horse as a prop while performing on stage. Back in 2023 during her Renaissance Tour, Beyonce used a sparkling silver horse - which mimicked her Renaissance album cover. The songstress kicked off her Cowboy Carter Tour earlier this year in April - and is in support of her eighth studio album of the same name which was released in 2024. She performed two additional dates in Atlanta on Sunday, July 13 and the following Monday on July 14. The Crazy In Love hitmaker will travel to Las Vegas later this month where the tour will conclude on July 26 at Allegiant Stadium. It was also reported that Beyonce's unreleased music was stolen during her Cowboy Carter tour stop in Atlanta on July 8. The incident occurred when a suspect stole a hard drive containing the unleased music from a motor vehicle - and an arrest warrant his since been issued.

Adolescence actor, 15, nominated for Emmy

The 15-year-old star of British drama Adolescence has been nominated for an Emmy. Owen Cooper becomes the youngest actor ever to be nominated in his category. His performance as a troubled schoolboy arrested for murder is a contender for the outstanding support actor award in a limited series. Cooper was 14 when he filmed the Netflix drama as Jamie Miller and had never acted professionally before. The performance was all the more remarkable because each episode was shot in one continuous take and the scenes were semi-improvised. His rivals in the category include the Oscar-winner Javier Bardem and Cooper's Adolescence co-star, Ashley Walters. The drama has a total of 13 nominations, including best actor for Stephen Graham and outstanding limited series. Written by Jack Thorne, the drama has been watched 142.6 million times, according to Netflix. It was made by Brad Pitt's production company, Plan B, which is in discussions about the possibility of a second series, which will feature different characters but 'stay true to its DNA'. The drama sparked such conversation that Sir Keir Starmer invited its makers to Downing Street and welcomed a move by Netflix to make the series available to screen in secondary schools. Other British nominees include Sir Gary Oldman for Slow Horses and Aimee Lou Wood for The White Lotus, while other shows picking up multiple nominations included Severance, The Bear and Bad Sisters. The latest series of Black Mirror was nominated for outstanding limited series, with American actress Rashida Jones in the running for outstanding actress in a limited or anthology series or movie for her role in it. Irish actress Sharon Horgan was nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for Bad Sisters, while Irish actor Colin Farrell received a nomination for The Penguin. The 77th Emmy Awards will take place in September.

Move over Zac Efron! Netflix fans go wild over new hunk starring in a rom-com with Miranda Cosgrove

A new hunk is gracing the screen in the upcoming Netflix rom-com The Wrong Paris - which is set to hit the streaming site later this year on September 12. Pierson Fode, 33, is portraying the leading male heartthrob in the movie, which also stars former Nickelodeon actress Miranda Cosgrove. The pair are no strangers to working together and the actor notably made his acting debut in an episode of the hit series iCarly in 2012. Fode - who was reportedly in the running to be cast as the Superman back in 2023 - has joined other Netflix hunks, such as Zac Efron who appeared in A Family Affair last year. New images from the film were released on Tuesday and include Pierson showing off his ripped physique while on set. The Wrong Paris follows Cosgrove's character as she takes part in a dating show which she initially assumes takes place in Paris, France - but soon comes to found out it is set in the city of the same name in Texas. Along with Fode and Cosgrove, other cast members are Madison Pettis, Torrance Coombs, Madeleine Arthur and Frances Fisher. Social media users jumped to the comment section of a post uploaded to Netflix's main Instagram page which showcased photos from the rom-com. 'So excited,' one fan penned, while another also typed out, 'I can't wait to watch this movie.' Cosgrove herself also offered a simple message of her own and added an array of red heart emojis. Last month in June, the streaming site also teased with a first look snap - and one follower labeled both Pierson and Miranda as 'gorgeous.' But fans began fawning over the actor late last year when he uploaded behind-the-scenes photos as he had a blast on set of The Wrong Paris. One wrote, 'Hollywood's favorite cowboy,' and another shared, 'Too much hottness in one photo.' '@piersonfode will always be a version of Superman somewhere in another timeline,' an Instagram user commented. David Corenswet was eventually cast in the covered role of the superhero in the James Dunn film which recently hit theaters on July 11. 'So excited for the movie. You and Miranda perfect for the role,' another fan typed out, and one shared, 'This is going to be AMAZING!!!' Fode and Cosgrove reunited for their leading roles in the upcoming Netflix movie after they first worked together in a 2012 episode of Nickelodeon's iCarly. The actor then went on to star in a variety of other projects, such as playing the role of Brooks in the Disney channel series Jessie. He played Thomas Forrester in the soap opera The Bold And The Beautiful from 2015 through 2018. Fode also took on roles in shows such as Supergirl and Animal Kingdom. Aside from television, the model has additionally appeared in a number of movies since kicking off his acting career. He has appeared in Naomi And Ely's No Kiss List (2015), 72 Hours (2024) and The Man From Toronto (2022) - which also starred Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson and Kaley Cuoco. Pierson was born in the state of Washington and grew up on a farm with his family. During a recent interview with People, Fode expressed how his childhood prepared him for his role in The Wrong Paris. 'Playing Trey felt like playing a version of with more cameras and fewer early-morning feeding,' he told the outlet. Pierson also recalled how the cast would have movie nights and 'cue up a different rom-com each time as inspiration.' He added, 'We love a good Matthew McConaughey moment, and you catch a subtle hat tip or two to his legacy throughout the film. With a dash of Fode, of course.' Janeen Damian - who directed the Netflix project - gushed about the 'chemistry' between the two leading stars. She explained that 'the sparks were there' between Pierson and Miranda which is 'not always a given.' The filmmaker continued, 'Miranda and Pierson knew exactly where they were emotionally in the story and delivered such a gorgeous, nuanced gut-punch of a performance. It was truly a joy to work with them.' Fode has previously garnered two Daytime Emmy nominations for his performance in The Bold And The Beautiful. During a past interview with Soap Opera Digest, he reflected on the milestone - and how he first discovered the nod during an appearance on The Talk. 'It was cool. Obviously, I was hoping it would happen and it did, so that was really incredible. 'What really surprised me was when they showed that Instagram picture of me from the tanning booth when we were in Australia. Yeah, looking up and seeing yourself practically naked on that big screen? That was a surprise,' he joked. Fode - who previously dated actress Victoria Justice - is active on social media, and notably boasts 1 million followers on Instagram.
