
South White, South Green win basketball ties
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Syed Yousuf Naseem, a Hurriyat leader from Azad Kashmir and an official guest of the Sindh Government.
The tournament is being held under the auspices of 31 Wing Abdullah Shah Ghazi Rangers and in collaboration with the Karachi Basketball Association (KBA).
In the first match, Haris Shahid scored18 points the winning outfit South White. Muneeb Ur Rehman scored 15 points and Muhammad Zaid Ashraf scored 12 points.
For the runner-up team Malir, Hadi Hassan scored 19 points, Naveed Iqbal scored 12 points and Muhammad Ayaan scored 10 points.
In the second match, shinig for winners South Green was Zain-ul-Abideen Channa who scored 20 points, Daniyal Khan Marwat scored 18 points and Abdul Rafi scored12 points.
For the runner-up team, Abdullah Khan scored 21 points, Muhammad Huzaifa scored 10 points and Haris Khan scored 10 points.
KBA President Barrister Ghulam Abbas Jamal Chaudhry, KCCI Member Asif Gulfam, Commissioner Karachi's Director of Sports Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Asif Kiani and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The technical officials and referees for the tournament included Zahid Malik, Muhammad Ashraf, Amir Sharif, Naeem Ahmed, Zaeema Khatoon, Zulfiqar Abbas Khan, and Usman Sheikh.

BB Shaheed Academy wins girls' title
Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Academy edged past Rana Liaquat Ali Khan Academy in the final by 10-6 to win the SSWMB Trophy Intra-Academy Girls Basketball Tournament at the International Abdul Nasir Basketball Court, Aram Bagh. From the winning team, Amna Ashraf and Aniqah Asif scored 4 points each, while Aaira Imran scored 2. On the runner-up team, Fatima Idrees, Summer Lubana, and Fariha Afzal scored 2 points each. The chief guest at the final was Tariq Ali Nizamani, Managing Director of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB), who distributed cash prizes and other awards in the presence of hundreds of spectators. Amna Ashraf was declared the Best Player of the tournament, and Aniqah Asif was named the Emerging Player Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony, Tariq Nizamani said that Mayor of Karachi and the Commissioner of Karachi are providing immense facilities for the youth and SSWMB, by organizing this event, has contributed to that vision. He announced that, Insha'Allah, SSWMB will also sponsor girls' events in interior Sindh in September and October. He paid glowing tribute to Ghulam Muhammad Khan for his exceptional services in the promotion of sports, especially basketball. Begum Isma Ali announced that the family of Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah, under the leadership of KBA President Ghulam Abbas Jamal Advocate, stands with the Sindh and Karachi Basketball Associations and will extend all possible support. She also announced that the Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Girls Inter-Clubs Basketball Tournament will be held in November. Also present on the occasion were Begum Ismaili Shah, Dr. Nighat Aqeel, Maryam Tariq, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Haider Khan, Faisal Ali Khan, Younus Qureshi, along with KBA and SBA officials, Shahid Ahmed Khan from Essa Laboratory, and other notable figures.

Fatima Jinnah Academy wins playoff

In the girls' third-place playoff, Fatima Jinnah Academy triumphed over Dr. Ruth Pfau Academy with a final score of 10-6. For the winning side, Umeema led the charge with 6 points, while Angele and Ghina added 2 points each. From the runner-up team, Atika, Fabiha Tariq, and Anaya each scored 2 points. In the boys' category, the tournament entered the semi-final stage. Amjad Ali Academy defeated Javed Memon Academy by 22-16. Abdul Samad contributed 12 points, Sameer Saleem scored 8, and Abdul Hadi added 2 points for the winning team. On the opposing side, Hasan Iqbal scored 8, Hadis Shahid 5, and Raza Abbas 2 points. In another thrilling encounter, Abdul Nasir Academy overpowered Rashid Ali Malik Academy with an identical score of 22-16. Rana Liaquat Academy, SBB Academy in final
Rana Liaquat Ali Academy defeated Dr. Ruth Pfau Academy by 8-6 points while Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Academy triumphed over Fatima Jinnah Academy by 13-9 points to reach the final of the SSWMB Inter-Academy basketball event on Thursday night. The tournament is being held under the patronage of Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui, and jointly organized by the Karachi Basketball Association (KBA) and Firdous Ittehad at the International Abdul Nasir Basketball Court. In today's semi-finals, PPP leader Munir Iqbal Gaddi was present as the chief guest. Notable attendees included Allam Muhammad Khan, Amir Sharif, Zahid Malik, and other respected personalities. In the first girls' semi-final, for the winners Rana Liaquat Academy, Amna Ashraf, who has shown exceptional performance throughout the tournament, scored 4 points, while Afza Ali and Ayeza added 2 points each. For the runner-up team, Fabiha Tariq scored 4 points, with Atika and Jheel contributing one point each. In the second semi-final, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Academy triumphed .
