Amid the ongoing industry-wide discussion on work-life balance in the film world, several stars have spoken up about long working hours and the need for healthier schedules. Joining the conversation, actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently shared her personal views on the matter and gave a rather honest and straightforward opinion. Speaking on the sidelines of India Couture Week, Tamannaah said she doesn't believe in the concept of "work-life balance" as it is often discussed. Instead, she believes in inner balance. "I think work-life balance is a lie. I think you have to be balanced, and then work and life happens. If you are balanced, then work-life balance ho jata hai," said the 'Stree' actress to ANI. The debate over work hours in the film industry became a hot topic after Deepika Padukone 's reported exit from 'Spirit,' allegedly over her request for an eight-hour workday being denied by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga . Meanwhile, the ' Baahubali ' actress turned heads at the India Couture Week on Wednesday, where she was the muse for designer Rahul Mishra. Tamannaah wore two eye-catching outfits during the show. The actress first dazzled in a fitted floral gown, featuring detailed embroidery and soft glam makeup paired with wet, wavy hair. Later, she stunned the audience with a graceful traditional look, switching into a beautiful ivory lehenga with Rahul Mishra's signature floral patterns, paired with a halter-neck blouse. On the acting front, Tamannaah is gearing up for her upcoming film 'VVAN: Force of the Forest,' where she stars alongside Sidharth Malhotra .

Kajol Almost Said No To Shah Rukh Khan's Baazigar

Kajol shared why she was unsure about doing Shah Rukh Khan's Baazigar and how her father Shomu Mukherji helped her decide. It's hard to imagine Bollywood without Kajol's big break in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Baazigar, but the actor recently shared that she was unsure about doing the film at all. In a new chat with Filmfare, she opened up about how it was actually her father, filmmaker Shomu Mukherji, who pushed her to take the leap and helped shape her early film choices. She was just a teenager when she first stepped into the film world, and according to Kajol, her dad gave her some honest advice right at the start. 'My dad actually warned me. He said, 'You better be sure what you want to do, because once you put that makeup on, its not going to come off.' I was like 16 at that time and said, 'What nonsense! I am an educated girl, I am a today's woman. If I choose to leave the films I will leave the films and I will show you. There's no one who can keep me from doing what I want to do.'" But even after stepping in, Kajol wasn't instantly sold on the idea of doing Baazigar—the 1993 thriller that would go on to become a cult hit. She recalled having doubts about the script and her role in it. 'He was also a very practical person, very much in the flow of the industry. He was also the person who told me that I must do Baazigar. Because I was not sure whether I should do Baazigar or not. I was like, 'I was really not sure about it. What is this film? What am I doing in the film?' He was like no you must do it as these are good directors, I know Abbas-Mustan. That was one film that he told me that I really must do it." Her dad's instincts were spot on. Directed by Abbas-Mustan and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Shilpa Shetty, Baazigar went on to become a box office hit and a career milestone for everyone involved. Interestingly, the original script reportedly had Kajol's character killing Shah Rukh's, before the final plot was altered. Kajol's father, Shomu Mukherji, passed away in 2008 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Looking back now, she credits him for being a steady guiding hand during her early days in the industry.
