Liverpool Are Open To A Swap Deal For This Real Madrid Talent: Should Slot Bring Him On Board?
In a recent report, Defensa Central claimed that Liverpool are open to a swap deal for Real Madrid talent Rodrygo. It has been stated that the Reds are willing to use Ibrahima Konate as a makeweight to try and bring the Brazilian wide player to Anfield this summer.
Rodrygo's Impressive Form In La Liga
Rodrygo enjoyed an impressive campaign at the Madrid club after he put in a string of eye-catching performances for them in La Liga. The 24-year-old found the back of the net 14 times and earned ten assists in 51 matches for Real Madrid last season in all competitions.

The Brazilian talent deserves some credit for averaging 2.52 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He kept 37% of his attempts on target. Rodrygo was even accurate when distributing possession in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 85.9% in the top tier of Spanish football (stats via fbref.com).
Rodrygo's current contract at the Madrid club will run out in the summer of 2028. Hence, it won't be easy for the Reds to snap him up on the cheap this off-season.

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Bring Rodrygo On Board?
Rodrygo is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He is an excellent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to set up a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.

The Brazilian wide player can contribute by scoring and creating a lot of important goals up top. He mainly operates as a right-sided wide player but can also function as a left-winger or as a centre-forward if asked to do so.
We can expect Rodrygo to bring more firepower to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot's frontline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club next season.
At 24, Rodrygo has his peak years ahead of him which makes him a good choice for the Reds to pursue in this summer transfer period. He might even help Liverpool challenge for some major trophies over the next few years. Thus, it makes sense for Slot to go all out to bring Rodrygo on board soon.
