New Keanu Reeves-Sandra Bullock Movie News Sparked the Same Joke From Fans
While there's been little revealed about the film itself, the studio reportedly called the story "propulsive." Variety also cites that Bullock and Reeves are both producers for the film.
The news sets up a third go-round for Reeves and Bullock to star together in a movie, with the aforementioned Speed being the first team-up back in 1994. They also starred together in the 2006 movie The Lake House, but when the news came out, fans couldn't help but make the same Speed-related jokes.
"Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock had so much chemistry on Speed." wrote one fan.
"There's got to be at least one bus scene or speeding joke in it." replied another.
"a shot for shot remake of speed?" wrote another.
"Speed 2???" replied one fan.
While fans couldn't get the idea of a Speed remake out of their minds, there's no denying that the on-screen chemistry of Reeves and Bullock should add even more intrigue to the untitled upcoming project.
Reeves has most recently executive produced and starred in John Wick: Chapter 4, the series which he's been the face of. As for Bullock, she's starred in and produced The Lost City, The Unforgivable and Bird Box.

Investigators from at least four federal agencies raided a California home Friday linked to mysterious 'TikTok' cult Pastor Robert Shinn, the founder of a so-called talent agency that allegedly exploited amateur dancers with promises of TikTok stardom. In 1994, he founded the Shekinah Church, a Christian congregation recently profiled in Netflix's documentary series 'Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult' that initially served as a house of worship for Korean Americans in LA. Shinn also owns 7M Films and is associated with several other California businesses, including Shinn Entertainment Corp., IP Random Film, IHD Studio and Glory Bag Records. Instead, Shinn allegedly financially and physically manipulated and abused the dancers, encouraging some of them to disown their families. Shinn, who is married to Hannah Shinn, has previously denied claims that the Shenikah Church and 7M are affiliated, TV Insider reported. The Canadian-born Shinn is estimated to be worth $15 million. One of his children, singer-songwriter Kloë Shinn, defected from the church in 2022 with her husband Daniel Joseph, according to Cosmo, which added that he also has two sons, Conrad and Isaiah. Her music has appeared on reality shows like 'Queer Eye' and 'The Real Housewives' as well as the movie 'Random Encounters,' a 2013 film starring Meghan Markle — that was produced by her father. 3 Women have accused Shinn of physical and sexual assault. KTLA 5 Several former dancers and ex-members of the Shekinah Church teamed up to sue Shinn in 2022. The lawsuit alleges exploitation and labor law violations by the church and Shinn, and remains active. In 2009, a woman named Lydia Chung sued Shinn, alleging he'd forced her to turn over $3.8 million in assets through 'undue influence, mind control, coercive persuasion, oppression and other intimidating tactics,' according to the lawsuit. In 2011, Jung Hee Lee, a former Shekinah member, sued Shinn for allegedly forcing her to work full-time for only a $30 weekly stipend. She won that case, and Shinn was ordered to pay her the compensation she should've received. Shinn himself filed a defamation lawsuit against several former church members after they referred to the organization as a cult, according to CNN.

Ryan Gosling and faceless alien named Rocky wow crowd at 'Project Hail Mary' Comic-Con panel
SAN DIEGO (AP) — Comic-Con got a lot of Ryan and a little bit of Rocky at a panel on 'Project: Hail Mary,' the forthcoming film that's equal parts space adventure, real-science deep-dive, broad comedy and relationship drama. 'What's up Hall H!' a giddy Ryan Gosling in a trucker hat and flannel shirt shouted to the crowd of more than 6,000 at Comic-Con's biggest venue. Amazon MGM Studios showed the opening five minutes and several other slightly unfinished scenes from the first third of the film, seven months before its planned release. (Spoilers for that section follow). It included an extended glimpse at Rocky, the stone-shaped and faceless alien who becomes Gosling's mission partner as they attempt to save the universe from ecological disaster. Phil Lord, who codirected the film with Chris Miller, said the relationship between the two beings stuck alone together in space represents the central theme. 'If the universe depended on it,' Miller said, 'can adult men make friends?' Rocky is already a cult favorite for readers of Andy Weir's novel, and is sure to be a future staple of Comic-Con cosplay. Gosling plays Ryland Grace, a middle school teacher and underachiever drafted for the mission in the film based on the novel by Weir, whose first novel became the 2015 Matt Damon movie 'The Martian.' Screenwriter Drew Goddard adapted both. Gosling was asked what he connected to in the reluctant character. 'I connect to his reluctance. I'm reluctant to answer this question,' Gosling said. 'Aside from he fact that he has a doctorate in molecular biology he's quite an ordinary person. He reacts to a lot of things that I might or a lot of us might. He's terrified — appropriately — of the task at hand.' The opening five minutes show a sloppy, long-bearded, amnesiac Gosling as he awakes in a pod. He climbs out, confused. He finds other people in pods who are clearly dead. Then he finds a window and learns he's in space. He gives a mealymouthed scream of 'Where am ?!' The movie represents the return to directing, and return to space, of Lord and Miller for the first time since they were fired and replaced by Ron Howard by Disney and Lucasfilm from 2018's 'Solo.' 'This movie is not a Mac, it's a PC,' Lord said. 'It can be beautiful, it just can't be pretty.'
