The 2025 San Diego Comic-Con Panels We're Most Excited About
Which is both the best and worst thing about the convention. The worst thing is that there's so much going on, there's no way you could come close to seeing or doing everything you want to. The best thing, however, is that you can very easily tailor your entire experience to only the things that make you happy. For us, that's in large part major movies and TV shows. And while Marvel Studios won't be gracing Hall H this year, several other films and shows are doing just that, along with DC Studios and more.
So what's cool? What's worth looking forward to? Here are 15 panels we're most looking forward to at San Diego Comic-Con 2025.
On the surface this one seems pretty basic. A tease of a museum? Who cares, right? Well, it's George Lucas' museum. About movies. And he's on the panel, making his first trip to Comic-Con ever. And Guillermo del Toro is on the panel. And Doug Chiang. And Queen Latifah is moderating. Um, wow, what a package.
When and where: Sunday, July 27, 11 a.m. PT, Hall H
First it was canceled. Then it came back. And now, for the first time ever, the general public is going to see what all the fuss is about. We cannot wait.
When and where: Saturday, July 26, 10 a.m. PT, Hall H
In space, no one can hear you scream. But you can be damn sure 6,000 people in Hall H are going to be screaming when they get to see the first episode of the new FX Alien show along with the whole cast.
When and where: Friday, July 25, 1:25 p.m. PT, Hall H
With Superman now in theaters, it's time for DC Studios president James Gunn to move on to his next thing. And that next thing is Peacemaker. The character, of course, has a brief cameo in the new film, but this will be the full unveiling of how season two of the John Cena show will tie into this new DC Universe.
When and where: Saturday, July 26, 3:30 p.m. PT, Hall H
Disney isn't sending Marvel or Star Wars to Comic-Con this year, but they're sending two of the biggest sci-fi films it's had in recent years. First up, Predator Badlands, a new live-action film from Prey and Killer of Killers director Dan Trachtenberg. If we hadn't already seen a teaser trailer, this would be higher on the list. But we're guessing we'll see much, much more than that in Hall H.
When and where: Friday, July 25, 4:15 p.m. PT, Hall H
Disney is also bringing Tron back to Comic-Con. The long-awaited follow-up to Tron Legacy (which was famously first announced at Comic-Con) also already has a teaser trailer, so we aren't sure what else we'll see or learn. But, either way, we're pumped to return to the Grid.
When and where: Friday, July 25, 5:30 p.m. PT, Hall H
The video game adaptation about killer robots who live in an old arcade is back, and Blumhouse will unveil what it has in store for the first time at Comic-Con.
When and where: Thursday, July 24, 4:15 p.m. PT, Hall H
One of, if not the, most anticipated sci-fi films coming in the next year, Project Hail Mary is going to be awesome. We think that because we saw a very, very long trailer only a few short weeks ago. What else could possibly be on tap beyond that, especially with the movie not out till next year? That uncertainty is the only reason why this panel in particular, for such a big movie, is further down on this list. But also, it has Ryan Gosling, Andy Weir, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, so what are we even thinking?
When and where: Saturday, July 26, 2:15 p.m. PT, Hall H
We thought this updated remake of the gross-out Troma cult classic may never see the light of day. But it's coming to theaters in August, and it's ready to burst out into the world at Comic-Con.
When and where: Thursday, July 24, 5:30 p.m. PT, Hall H
From the director of multiple Hunger Games sequels comes this brand-new Stephen King adaptation, which felt like a surprise when it was announced for Comic-Con. But it does star Mark Hamill and an all-star cast of young actors who all must keep walking until only one is left alive.
When and where: Friday, July 25, 3 p.m. PT, Hall H
The long-awaited, highly anticipated prequel series to the Stephen King films about a killer clown is finally coming out. And despite its very awkward panel time, we think it's going to be one of the coolest shows released this fall.
When and where: Saturday, July 26, 9:15 p.m. PT, Room 6BCF
Comic-Con might be closing with George Lucas and Guillermo del Toro, but it's opening with another pair of directing legends. Directors Rob Reiner (Stand By Me, The Princess Bride) and Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters) will have a chat about their respective careers.
When and where: Thursday, July 24, 2:45 p.m. PT, Hall H
Marvel Studios might not be bringing any new films or shows to Comic-Con, but one of its key creatives, head of visual development Ryan Meinerding, will join with comics editor-in-chief C. B. Cebulski to discuss some recent adaptations, including Fantastic Four: First Steps.
When and where: Saturday, July 26, 3 p.m. PT, Room 6A
It might not be live action, but a new Batman movie is debuting footage at Comic-Con. This WB animated film that translates to 'Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires.'
When and where: Thursday, July 24, 3:30 p.m. PT, Room 6BCF
To be honest, I've never seen this Adult Swim show, but fellow io9 reporter Sabina Graves has. In fact, she's moderating this one, so it had to make the list.
When and where: Friday, July 25, 2 p.m. PT, Indigo Ballroom

Scott and Kelley Wolf barred from discussing divorce with their kids
Scott and Kelley Wolf have been banned from discussing their divorce with their children. The former couple - who have Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and 11-year-old Lucy together - split last month after more than 20 years of marriage and earlier this week, they reached a temporary agreement which set out provisions around custody, visitation, finances, and communication, with the Party of Five actor's temporary restraining order against his estranged wife also dismissed. According to documents obtained by People magazine, Scott has temporary sole physical custody of the kids, while Kelley has been granted "liberal" supervised parenting time, which will be coordinated by the pair's lawyers. In addition, Kelley will be allowed three supervised video or phone calls per week with the children during "reasonable waking hours" and can respond if her kids initiate additional contact. If a court-appointed guardian raises any concerns, all parties must reevaluate whether supervision remains necessary. According to the agreement, neither party is permitted to discuss adult issues, the divorce, or the kids' relationship with their other parent in front of or with the children, and Scott and Kelley are also barred from making disparaging remarks, either verbally or in writing, and cannot interrogate their brood about what happens when they are with their other parent. The agreement also includes a social media stipulation, which means neither may post about one another, their marriage, children or the divorce, nor allow any third party to do so. Scott will keep exclusive use of their Park City home, and Kelley's parenting time may occur there but only with mutual agreement on a supervisor, and she is otherwise barred from the property. The 57-year-old actor will retain control of marital funds, covering household expenses and will also provide Kelley with $10,000 a month for living costs, as well as her car payments, minimum payments on credit cards and some of her legal fees. Days after news of the former couple's split was announced, Kelly was admitted to hospital under an involuntary 5150 hold - which is described as "a critical intervention used to detain individuals who are considered a danger to themselves or others or are gravely disabled due to a mental disorder" - but was discharged days later and insisted she was "fine". In a post on Instagram, she wrote: 'I'm fine, y'all. I'm happy. 'No mental illness. No addictions. Just a woman who SURVIVED an involuntary 5150 and went on a 1st DATE 2-night. So nervous! OMG!' The former couple married in 2004 and Kelley recently insisted she is "happy" and "ready to begin again" after her split from the actor. She wrote on Instagram: "Love makes the world go round … And in the times you feel heavy … KNOW … you are special. Peace is a state of mind. "And your mind is all that can tell you otherwise … I love you all and I am HAPPY. And that's okay … it's okay to hold many things at once. "We are dynamic … and I am ready to begin again … "

Wordle hints today for #1,492: Clues and answer for Sunday, July 20
Hey, there! We hope you're having a spectacular weekend. You deserve it. Surely, keeping your Wordle streak intact will help with that. Here's our daily Wordle guide with some hints and the answer for Sunday's puzzle (#1,492). It may be that you're a Wordle newcomer and you're not completely sure how to play the game. We're here to help with that too. What is Wordle? Wordle is a deceptively simple daily word game that first emerged in 2021. There is one five-letter word to deduce every day by process of elimination. The daily word is the same for everyone. Wordle blew up in popularity in late 2021 after creator Josh Wardle made it easy for players to share an emoji-based grid with their friends and followers that detailed how they fared each day. The game's success spurred dozens of clones across a swathe of categories and formats. The New York Times purchased Wordle in early 2022 for an undisclosed sum. The publication said that players collectively played Wordle 5.3 billion times in 2024. So, it's little surprise that Wordle is one of the best online games and puzzles you can play daily. How to play Wordle To start playing Wordle, you simply need to enter one five-letter word. The game will tell you how close you are to that day's secret word by highlighting letters that are in the correct position in green. Letters that appear in the word but aren't in the right spot will be highlighted in yellow. If you guess any letters that are not in the secret word, the game will gray those out on the virtual keyboard. However, you can still use those letters in subsequent guesses. You'll only have six guesses to find each day's word, though you still can use grayed-out letters to help narrow things down. It's also worth remembering that letters can appear in the secret word more than once. Wordle is free to play on the NYT's website and apps, as well as on Meta Quest headsets and Discord. The game refreshes at midnight local time. If you log into a New York Times account, you can track your stats, including the all-important win streak. How to play Wordle more than once a day If you have a NYT subscription that includes full access to the publication's games, you don't have to stop after a single round of Wordle. You'll have access to an archive of more than 1,400 previous Wordle games. So if you're a relative newcomer, you'll be able to go back and catch up on previous editions. In addition, paid NYT Games members have access to a tool called the Wordle Bot. This can tell you how well you performed at each day's game. In case you still haven't quite figured it out by that point, we'll then provide the first letter of the word. 'Paid in full': Fighters react to Max Holloway's win vs. Dustin Poirier at UFC 318
Max Holloway finally got his get-back against Dustin Poirier at UFC 318 on Saturday when he emerged victorious from their trilogy bout. After losing to Poirier (30-10 MMA, 22-9 UFC) by submission in 2012 and decision in 2019, Holloway (27-8 MMA, 23-8 UFC) made the most of his last chance at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans when he scored a METHOD win to successfully defend the BMF title and split the retirement moment of "The Diamond." It marks a moment of triumph for Holloway as he fully commits his career to the lightweight division going forward, and now there are more big fights ahead for "Blessed," while Poirier says farewell to fighting after more than 15 years of competition. Check below for the top X (formerly Twitter) reactions to Holloway's win and Poirier's retirement at UFC 318.
