Israeli settler rampage kills 3 in West Bank as bombardment of Gaza claims dozens of lives

ALBAWABA- Israeli settlers, backed by occupation forces, launched violent and coordinated attacks on the Palestinian village of Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah, setting fire to homes, vehicles, and private property in a renewed wave of settler terrorism across the occupied West Bank.
Armed settlers, under military protection, stormed the village while Israeli soldiers opened live fire directly at Palestinians, killing at least three and injuring seven others.

The attack is part of a growing pattern of systematic, ethnically driven violence carried out by settlers with tacit or open support from far-right Israeli ministers such as Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, both of whom have publicly advocated for forced displacement and the expansion of Israeli annexation in the West Bank.
Elsewhere in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces continued the demolition of homes and infrastructure in the Nour Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm, displacing more families amid rising tensions.
Meanwhile, in the Gaza Strip, Israeli air and artillery strikes escalated, killing at least eight Palestinians, including women and children. A residential building in the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City was bombed, and additional strikes hit the Al-Shati refugee camp to the west and areas near Al-Katiba in Khan Younis, south of the Strip.

Gaza's tribal leaders restore order amid aid crisis

ALBAWABA — Palestinian groups in Gaza have taken it upon themselves to guard and guide humanitarian aid convoys. They are doing this in response to what they say are planned Israeli attempts to cause chaos and stop the delivery of aid. Also Read Pentagon defends Iran strikes as 'legendary' amid leaked doubts Since Israel started letting some aid back into Gaza in late May, scenes of violence and chaos have made it hard to get essential goods to people who need them. Israeli troops are said to have opened fire near groups of people waiting for food aid because they were afraid that Hamas would take control of the shipments. These claims have been denied by the UN, which says that Israel's limits make relocation and suffering worse and make humanitarian aid political. As the crisis and lack of food got worse, Gaza's tribe leaders started a community-led effort to make sure that aid trucks got to stores safely, skipping the long lines and getting the goods to those who need them. Their hard work paid off on Wednesday, when food convoys were able to get into Gaza City. It was the first time that distribution went smoothly since aid started again. A member of the Palestinian Tribal and Clans Council named Alaa Al-Aklouk told Al Jazeera Net that this plan was organized with UN OCHA and shared with the Israeli side. He stressed how important it was for everyone in the community to work together to stop the famine and keep the peace as people were getting more and more desperate. The project got backing from many groups, such as the Gaza Private Transport Association. Nahid Shuheibar, the country's president, said that tribe planning was a big part of getting things back to normal and called for the model to be used in central and southern Gaza as well. But Israeli leaders responded quickly. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said he would step down if aid entry wasn't stopped, saying that the goods were getting into the hands of Hamas without any proof. In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told the troops they had 48 hours to come up with a plan to stop any more help from getting to Hamas.

Hamas issues statement praising West Bank resistance

The Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Thursday praised the courage of residents in the occupied West Bank who continue to confront attacks by 'Israeli' settlers, while also mourning the death of a senior Iranian commander killed in an 'Israeli' strike. In a statement, Hamas commended the 'bravery of the people of Turmus Ayya and all areas of the West Bank,' describing their defense against what it called 'terrorist settler attacks' as a reflection of Palestinian steadfastness and refusal to surrender their land and rights. 'The crimes of the occupation and its settlers in the West Bank will not shake our people's determination nor their hold on their land,' said Hamas official Abdul Rahman Shadid. 'The occupation must bear full responsibility for the consequences of its ongoing crimes across the West Bank. Our people will not abandon the path of resistance.' Shadid reaffirmed that armed resistance remains a legitimate right under occupation and vowed that Palestinians would continue defending their land and holy sites 'by all possible means.' In a separate statement, Hamas announced the death of Brigadier General Saeed Izadi, known as Hajj Ramadan, a senior officer in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and head of the 'Palestine file.' Izadi was killed in an 'Israeli' airstrike during the recent escalation targeting Iranian positions. Hamas called Izadi a 'pillar of support' for Palestinian resistance movements and hailed his decades of commitment to the Palestinian cause. 'With deep faith in God's decree, we mourn the martyrdom of the commander Saeed Izadi, who rose to heaven as a martyr in a treacherous assassination during the Zionist aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran,' Hamas said in its official statement. Hamas offered condolences to Iran's leadership, people, and the family of the slain commander, praising Tehran for its consistent support for Palestine. 'The blood of this great leader, along with the many martyrs who have fallen on this path, will remain fuel for the resistance until liberation,' the statement concluded.
