Will Go To Supreme Court If Statehood Is Not Restored: Farooq Abdullah

Abdullah said, 'We are committed to a democratic and peaceful struggle, but at the same time, we will not stay silent if our basic political rights continue to be denied.' He also highlighted that statehood is not a concession but a constitutional right, referencing promises made in Parliament and by the top court.

Talking about the escalating tensions in the Middle East, Abdullah called for peace and urged global leaders, specifically mentioning United States President Donald Trump, to advocate for dialogue. He stated, 'I pray that God gives wisdom to both Iran and Israel. Trump should talk about peace. This conflict can only be solved with peace.'
His comments came in the context of recent Israeli airstrikes on Tehran and Iranian missile attacks on Israel, reflecting his concern about the potential for broader regional conflict.

Jaisalmer: Rajasthan High Court has stayed the allocation of thousands of bighas of Oran pasture land in Jaisalmer district for large-scale solar power projects, directing the state govt and district administration to respond to concerns about the protection of these ecologically and culturally significant lands. In an order issued on July 30, Justices Pushpendra Singh Bhati and Sandeep Taneja, stayed the land allocation following a PIL by advocates Manas Ranchhod Khatri and Sunil Paliwal on behalf of petitioner Shyam Singh Sodha. The petitioner challenged the allocation of Oran and Aagor land in the Fatehgarh subdivision, particularly in Sitodai village, for the establishment of a 12,500 megawatt solar park by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL). According to the petitioner, the Jaisalmer district collector, acting on state govt directives, proceeded with land allocation without proper physical verification or site inspection. While addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly, David made an emotional appeal, saying that he feels that he has been abandoned. 'I feel that I have been abandoned... I've been told that in Israel, the government cares for prisoners and cares for anyone imprisoned by the enemy. I feel that I have been abandoned by you and this government,' he said. 'Everything I was taught was simply not true,' he added, as quoted by Ynet News.'What I'm doing now is digging my own grave,' he adds. 'Each day, my body grows weaker and weaker. 'We are forced to witness our beloved Evyatar, our son and brother, being deliberately and cynically starved in Hamas tunnels in Gaza. He is a living skeleton, buried alive,' the statement said. 'Our son has only days left to live in his current state. Hamas is using Evyatar as a live experiment in a grotesque hunger campaign.'The family called the alleged starvation campaign 'one of the most horrifying acts the world has seen,' as quoted by and appealed to Israel and the international community to intervene.
