With that in mind, we'd lean toward getting your order in sooner rather than later. While there's a slight chance we'll see prices dip a little lower later in the sale, there's a much greater chance that the best bargains will sell out fast. If you see a TV that fits your needs and budget at a good price, we'd recommend grabbing it before it goes out of stock. Which retailers offer the best July 4th TV deals? As you might expect, major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy are offering some excellent deals for the Fourth of July and Prime Day. How we choose the best July 4th TV deals At CNET, we've covered shopping events for more than five years, including Black Friday, Prime Day, Memorial Day and countless other shopping events. We've become good at weeding out scams and superficial deals so you only get the best offers. We look for real discounts, quality reviews and remaining sale time when choosing television deals. We have a team of devoted experts who have tested hundreds of TVs to make sure we're bringing you the best of the best. Real discounts mean exactly that. We look at the price history for that product to make sure no brands are inflating prices to make the discount seem more substantial than it is. Quality reviews and testing are important for any product, but especially for TVs. If you're unhappy the first time you turn it on, the discount wasn't worthwhile. Remaining sale time is a huge part of our vetting process. If a deal seems like it will only be around for a short while or will only be available for the remaining stock, we'll let you know upfront, so you don't come back to the deal later only to be disappointed.

Regardless, we expect to see tons of price cuts on the latest tech, smart home upgrades, everyday basics and more. Additionally, you can start adding deals to your cart now. Previous Amazon Prime Day dates Since Amazon launched its first Prime Day sale back in 2015, the company has scheduled the event for around the same time of year. Outside of a couple of recent years, Amazon has traditionally kicked off its main sale event around the middle two weeks of July, and 2025 is no exception. Here are the previous Amazon Prime Day dates: Prime Day 2015: July 15 Prime Day 2016: July 12 Prime Day 2017: July 11 to 12 Prime Day 2018: July 16 to 17 Prime Day 2019: July 15 to 16 Prime Day 2020: Oct. 13 to 14 Prime Day 2021: June 21 to 22 Prime Day 2022: July 12 to 13 Prime Early Access Sale 2022: Oct. 11 to 12 Prime Day 2023: July 11 to 12 Prime Big Deal Days 2023: Oct. 10 to 11 Prime Day 2024: July 16 to 17 Prime Big Deal Days 2024: Oct. 8 to 9 Big Spring Sale 2025: March 20 to 25 Prime Day 2025: July 8 to 11 Should you shop July 4th sales or Prime Day? There's no doubt that there will be tons of deals during both events. However, it's not about when to shop but what to shop for. If you're looking for outdoor things like a patio set or power tools, Fourth of July sales will bring you more savings. But if you're looking for electronics or smart home gadgets, you'll have better luck during Prime Day. And if you don't have anything specific in mind, enjoy shopping all these deals for just about half the month of July. Will tariffs impact this year's Prime Day deals? Tariffs are top of mind for most Americans and it could impact this year's Prime Day event. Prices on items like electronics could very well increase, with companies like Apple trying to avoid so by moving manufacturing operations elsewhere. The tariffs are currently paused but only until July, right when Prime Day begins. What is Prime Day? Amazon began the annual Prime Day tradition back in 2015. And ever since, bargain hunters have eagerly awaited its return every summer. The Prime Day sale event has historically taken place in July, and this year is no exception. Amazon often has other sales throughout the year, including a second Prime Day-like sale in October and the Big Spring Sale. We know Prime Day is less than two weeks away but we're covering all the essentials well ahead of time, including everything from signing up for Amazon Prime and returning Prime Day purchases to getting Prime Day deals free and using extra Prime perks.
