Malaysia Madani Rakyat Disantuni theme song for HKHM 2025
Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the move is part of efforts to ignite the spirit of the National Month.
Fahmi, the spokesperson for the MADANI Government, said the song, composed by Datuk Mokhzani Ismail, arranged by young composer Affan Mazlan and performed by national songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, is very catchy, melodious and pleasant to listen to.
'I feel this year's theme song is truly magical and extraordinary. The song has also caught the attention and praise of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim himself, who said it was 'really, really good',' he said during the Communications Ministry's monthly assembly here today.
The HKHM 2025 theme song was officially introduced for the first time at the National Month Launch and Jalur Gemilang Flag-Raising Ceremony 2025 held at Dataran Tanjung Emas in Muar, Johor last Sunday.
Fahmi said the Communications Ministry's focus at the moment is to ensure that all aspects of preparation for the HKHM celebrations run smoothly, including field activities, security, broadcasting and official performances.
He also called on ministry staff and its agencies to enliven the National Month spirit by playing an effective communication role.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Communications Teo Nie Ching; Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa; Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Chief Executive Officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin and Bernama Editor-in-Chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj.
Fahmi also requested that Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), Bernama and other broadcasters play the HKHM theme song before and after main news bulletins, as well as in promotional videos to create a lively atmosphere, boost the spirit and ignite the flame of patriotism throughout the National Month.
'I am asking that in this ministry, the theme song be played either in the lobby or as background music during official events.
'We will also propose to the Prime Minister's Department (JPM) that this song be played at all official events attended by the Prime Minister during the National Month. This will be discussed further with JPM,' he said.
On preparations for the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, Fahmi said the Communications Ministry is currently addressing connectivity issues, as well as safety and traffic control aspects at the celebration venues.
'A lot of preparations are underway and so far I am satisfied. We are also planning some special 'gimmick' elements for both celebrations,' he said.
The National Day 2025 celebration will be held in Putrajaya on Aug 31, while the Malaysia Day 2025 celebration will be held at the PICCA@Arena Butterworth Convention Centre, Penang on Sept 16. - Bernama

13MP: Govt not neglecting rural areas – Ahmad Zahid
Ahmad Zahid (second from right), listens to kindergarten children reciting short surahs during his visit to the Kemas kindergarten in Kampung Sapagaya.-Bernama photo LAHAD DATU (Aug 3): The empowerment of rural regions, including in Sabah, through the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) proves that the government is not sidelining these areas from the national development agenda, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Ahmad Zahid, who is also Minister of Rural and Regional Development, said that for Sabah, he observed several key areas of specific focus, including efforts to position the state as a Blue Economy hub to attract investment in new strategic industries. 'We will also enhance flood mitigation measures for the safety and wellbeing of the people,' he said when officiating the 'Sentuhan Kasih Desa MADANI @ Lahad Datu' programme in Kampung Sapagaya here on Sunday. He said the government also plans to turn Sabah into a food production hub, thereby strengthening the role of rural areas as the backbone of national food security. When tabling the 13MP for the 2026–2030 period under the theme 'Redesigning Development', Prime Minsiter Datuk Seri Anwar Inrahim announced initiatives such as the Sarawak Hydrogen Hub and Sabah Energy Supply Assurance to strengthen energy infrastructure in both states. Under the 13MP, priority will also be given to the construction of the Sabah-Sarawak-Kalimantan road network in alignment with the relocation of Indonesia's capital to Nusantara in East Kalimantan. Emphasis is also placed on an intensive poverty eradication strategy, digital transformation, and support for the resilience of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The government remains committed to strengthening the retail network of 'Pasar Tamu' markets in Sabah and Sarawak, the development of integrated fisheries hubs, coastal and maritime tourism, as well as blue biotechnology — including upgrading bunkering facilities at Sabah ports. Meanwhile, Ahmad Zahid said the 13MP is also a manifestation of the MADANI Government's resolve to develop basic infrastructure, strengthen entrepreneurship and enhance disaster preparedness in rural areas. At the programme, he also presented support equipment aid under the Rural Entrepreneurship Empowerment Support Scheme (SPKLB) and officiated the opening of a new KEMAS kindergarten building and skills training classroom.-Bernama

Putin backs high-speed rail projects for Russia's growing economy
MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasised the importance of high-speed railway projects, stating they will meet public demand and support Russia's expanding economy. In a video address marking Railway Workers' Day, Putin underscored their role in strengthening Russia's position as a key Eurasian logistics hub. 'I am confident that these projects matter for our people and our expanding economy. They will reinforce Russia's standing as a major logistics hub for the entire Eurasian continent by creating new opportunities for competitive international routes, including the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor,' Putin said. High-speed railways, designed for trains travelling 200–400 km/h, are new to Russia. The first project, connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg, is set for completion in 2028, reducing travel time to just 2 hours and 15 minutes. This line is the first of five approved high-speed rail projects. Subsequent routes will link Moscow to Yekaterinburg, Adler, Minsk, and Ryazan, enhancing domestic and international connectivity. - Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti
