How to watch USMNT vs Turkiye live: Stream link, TV channel, team news, prediction
Names will be made this summer in United States men's national team action, which starts when Mauricio Pochettino's team meets up with European powers Turkiye in East Hartford on Saturday.
The international friendly pits the Yanks against a top-25 team for the first of two UEFA friendlies, with Switzerland coming soon, and good performances will show Pochettino a player's potential against similar opposition in the 2026 World Cup.
MORE — How will USMNT line up versus Turkiye?
The nerves will be plenty for the USMNT players, who have chances to be center stage while Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Timothy Weah, Antonee Robinson, and others are absent from the fold.
But there are still a lot of regulars here, as Tyler Adams and Johnny Cardoso keep things steady and vicious in the midfield and Chris Richards gets more time as one of the leaders at the back.
Richards returns to the team with an FA Cup on his resume, and Crystal Palace teammate Matt Turner is likely to also start for the USMNT.

USMNT team news, focus
Who is going to seize the opportunities presented in the front four positions in the team?
Patrick Agyemang, Haji Wright, Damion Downs, and Brian White all have claims of form and will feel they can claim the center forward spot with Folarin Balogun leaving camp through injury.
Malik Tillman can show so much without Reyna, Weah, and Pulisic, and has to be thrilled at the prospect of orchestrating the attack in front of steady midfielders.
The wings are very intriguing, as we'll learn how highly Pochettino already rates Diego Luna, and there are a bunch of talented options who could claim starting spots.
Turkiye team news, focus
The Crescent Stars essentially cruised through Nations League B, winning promotion with a decisive two-legged triumph over Hungary.
Former AC Milan and Sevilla boss Vincenzo Montella is missing some familiar names for this match as Bournemouth's Enes Unal, Brighton's Ferdi Kadioglu, and Hoffenheim's Ozan Kabak are out through injury and Cenk Tosun was not called into the team.
This is a squad based largely in Turkiye's top flight, but Real Madrid starlet Arda Guler and Juventus young star Kenan Yildiz — both 20 years old — are in the fold.
Dortmund midfielder Salih Ozcan and Inter Milan hero Hakan Calhanoglu, the side's captain, lead the way in the midfield. Man United backstop Altay Bayindir and Trabzonspor keeper Ugurcan Cakir are the keepers with experience.
This is a solid team with lots of experience. Many will know the names Merih Demiral, Caglar Soyuncu, Mert Muldur, Okay Yokuslu, and Orkun Kokcu. It's a huge test for this USMNT.
USMNT vs Turkiye prediction
Anything can happen in these friendlies once teams start making loads of subs in the second half, so it's almost more worthwhile to predict the score after 55 minutes or so. Either way, we'll venture chances in this one. We also expect a gritty midfield battle that sees both sides finding the ball on the perimeter. The hosts will be slight favorites to win here, but we'll take that down a notch. USMNT 1-1 Turkiye.

How to watch the USMNT vs. Costa Rica: Tournament legacy on the line in 2025 Gold Cup
The United States returns to the Concacaf Gold Cup quarterfinals Sunday under the dome at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, facing a depleted but familiar Costa Rica squad with tournament pedigree and a long memory. Here's how to watch as the USMNT tries to keep its tournament run on track against an old rival. Advertisement International streaming via Concacaf GO. Chris Richards was everywhere in the group stage, breaking up plays, winning headers and volleying in the match's only goal in a 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia. The U.S. finished atop Group D after defeating Haiti and reminded viewers that, for all its volatility, this young squad still knows how to close. Now comes Costa Rica. These teams know each other well, and while the U.S. enters as the favorite — BetMGM has the squad listed at -175 — recent history says this fixture tends to get complicated. Costa Rica will be without striker Manfred Ugalde and winger Carlos Mora (both suspended), as well as injured attackers Ariel Lassiter and Warren Madrigal. It's a short bench, but not a soft opponent. Up front, the USMNT still lacks a clear finisher. Haji Wright remains unavailable, and no striker has fully claimed the job. Off the field, the most competitive battle may be for bragging rights in the team's Clash Royale matches. The U.S. has reached the semifinals in all but one Gold Cup since 1991. A win keeps them on script. A loss would mark just the second time in 34 years they've missed the final four. Streaming and ticketing links in this article are provided by partners of The Athletic. Spain hopes for Bonmati recovery at Euro 2025 and bids for ‘historic generation' status
MADRID (AP) — Spain's final preparations for the Women's European Championship have been upended. Again. Three years ago, Alexia Putellas tore an ACL days before the competition. This time, a different Ballon d'Or-winning midfielder's tournament is in question after Aitana Bonmatí was hospitalized with viral meningitis . Bonmatí came down with a fever during practice Friday and later checked in to a Madrid hospital. The team planned to travel to Switzerland on Sunday for the tournament, where it is considered one of the favorites after winning the 2023 World Cup, even though it has never reached a Euros final before. Spain coach Montse Tomé revealed after Friday's 3-1 victory in a friendly against Japan that the 27-year-old star tested positive for viral meningitis. 'The word is scary, but the doctor tells me that she is under control. She will remain in the hospital and we don't know for how long,' Tomé said. Spain's first game is against Portugal on Thursday in Bern. It will also face Belgium and Italy in Group B. Stability after Rubiales scandal Bonmatí's setback aside, Spain had been enjoying some peace and stability now that the Luis Rubiales scandal is behind them. Spain is arriving for Euro 2025 just a few months after Rubiales was convicted of sexual assault for an unsolicited kiss on player Jenni Hermoso during the 2023 World Cup awards ceremony. The conviction helped end one of the worst chapters in the history of Spanish soccer. The kiss sparked outrage and marred the nation's celebrations of the team's first major title in women's soccer. It ignited an unprecedented crisis that left the Spanish federation and women's soccer in turmoil. Spanish society called for more support for women, and sports officials ultimately were forced to review outdated protocols and improve the conditions for the women's team that is among the main title favorites at Euro 2025. 'I remember when I used to come to play for the national team and I didn't enjoy it. I just wanted to go home, to be honest,' playmaker Bonmatí, a two-time Ballon d'Or winner , said a few days before falling ill. 'It was tough to play here. The situation wasn't good. But now everything is better, there is more stability for everyone and that benefits the group.' The crisis prompted by the kiss on Hermoso — who was not called up by Tomé for the Euro 2025 squad — helped expedite changes that players had been demanding for a long time, including by some who refused to play for the national team even before the World Cup. 'The conditions have changed a lot,' said Putellas , another two-time world player of the year. 'Especially in terms of travel, nutrition, training. Things have changed radically. Now we are enjoying conditions that are at the top level of the men's team. It's something that has taken a lot of effort and work by many people.' Putellas said it's clear that the structure provided for the women's team is much more professional now, including in areas such as marketing and communication. 'We are finally where we wanted to be for some time,' she said. 'Because we have pushed for it, and also because a lot of people have helped us. Now we are just ready to compete and enjoy it.' Rubiales was convicted in February and ordered to pay more than 10,000 euros ($11,700) in fines. He was prohibited from approaching Hermoso or communicating with her for a year. Prosecutors had asked for a prison sentence. Rubiales was acquitted of a charge of coercion for allegedly trying to make Hermoso downplay the kiss on the lips. Tomé left out Hermoso from the squad saying that 'there's a lot of competition in her position.' Spain established itself as one of the powerhouses in women's soccer by winning the World Cup and following it up by lifting the trophy of the inaugural Women's Nations League in 2024. It then just missed out on a medal by finishing fourth at the Paris Olympics, when it lost to Brazil in the semifinals and to Germany in the bronze-medal match. Spain still a favorite Spain has never reached a final at the European Championship. Its best result was a last-four appearance in 1997. It was eliminated in the quarterfinals at each of the last three Euros. Still, it's a team that includes Barcelona and Real Madrid stars — and they've been playing well. In early June, Cláudia Pina scored twice in Spain's 2-1 victory over defending European champion England in the Nations League. 'We have been carrying the 'favorite' tag for a few years now, since we won the World Cup,' Bonmatí said. 'We are used to it and we take it with responsibility. There are other top teams and we need to respect them.' Even if Bonmatí needs time off, Spain will feel confident in the group stage. Spain had a 4-0 record this year against Portugal and Belgium — all in the group stage of the current Nations League edition. That included a 7-1 home victory over Portugal in April. 'Winning the European title would come as a confirmation that this is a historic generation for Spain's women's soccer,' Bonmatí said. ___ AP soccer:

PSG vs Inter Miami odds, prediction: Just how unlikely is it for Messi's team to pull off the upset?
If anything is likely to bring the Club World Cup to life, it's this. Inter Miami's 2-2 draw with Palmeiras earlier in the week means Lionel Messi will take on one of his former clubs, Paris Saint-Germain, in the last 16. Miami have been excellent in the tournament thus far and, were it not for two goals conceded in the last ten minutes on their last outing, would have topped the group and avoided this clash with PSG. Despite this, they still became the first MLS side to avoid defeat against CONMEBOL opposition since all the way back in 2005 (Los Angeles FC matched this with a draw against Flamengo a day later). Advertisement Miami were not expected to progress from a group containing Palmeiras, Porto and Egyptian champions Al Ahly. However, they have come through the group stage undefeated and were within a whisker of topping the table. PSG, however, will be the sternest test they've faced so far. PSG won the UEFA Champions League final with a resounding 5-0 victory over Inter Milan and they will be hoping for a similar result against another Inter. In truth, the French giants were the best team in Europe last season and worthy winners of the ultimate prize in their very first Champions League final. This tournament feels somewhat after the lord mayor's show for the French side. They suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Botafogo before recovering enough to top their group. This is the most enjoyable PSG team in decades, comprised as it is of impressive young talent as opposed to star names imported for big money. Time: Sunday, 5 p.m. BST (noon ET) Venue: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta PSG 4, Inter Miami 1 Miami have been magnificent thus far at the Club World Cup and have surprised many with their performances. The likes of Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets are genuine greats of the game who have helped take soccer in America to a new level ahead of the World Cup next summer and Sir David Beckham's involvement off the pitch simply cannot be overlooked. Despite all this, it is hard to look past PSG here. They might not have been at their best during this tournament but one senses this is a team capable of raising their game when they have to. One wouldn't bet against PSG going all the way at the Club World Cup but this should be a fascinating clash between a team with a smattering of stardust and another who have finally reached the summit after eschewing a Galacticos-style approach.
