Horse-riding instructor and showjumper guilty of underage sex
Equestrian boss Guy Simmonds, 37, and fellow rider Lauren Jarvis, 26, plotted the three-way event sex with the schoolgirl. Then the pair agreeing a "pact of silence" about their illegal underage romp after horse-riding lessons. A court heard the pair had "no doubt at all" that the schoolgirl was under 16 before the threesome and vowed to keep it secret. Prosecutor James Hartson said: "At all times he knew how old she was and so did Jarvis. "The victim told him herself in one of the very first messages she sent him. "They didn't care about her age when they were planning and engaging in a so-called threesome with the victim. "They also knew what they did was wrong and they agreed a pact of silence when they got wind she had started to talk about it." Cardiff Crown Court heard Simmonds bragged he was a "top showjumper" after targeting the underage girl on Facebook. Mr Hartson said there was a "clear element of grooming behaviour" from Simmonds before the threesome in Jarvis' home in January last year. In one message read to court, the girl asked Simmonds what he would make her do and he replied: "You will both do what daddy says. It will be fun." Simmonds later messaged Jarvis saying: "Hey, I have a feeling that she has said about us. If anyone asks for sake of both of us nothing ever happened that night xx." Jarvis replied: "Hey, who's she told? Oh god has she really, what's she trying to do, make our lives hell? Of course I will xx." The court heard Simmonds told police in interview he did not have any from of sexual contact with the victim. But he made calls to his mother from prison instructing her to pay the victim's "fickle" family £50,0000 to drop the charges. He said: "There is £20,000 in my account. Just f***ing give it to them. I don't care. £20,000 now and then £10,000 a year for three years." Simmonds claimed he had been given permission to "stray" from his partner Rebecca Dimes, 34, on the condition she "did not want to know anything about it." Jarvis claimed any messages about a threesome were "banter and a wind up." Simmonds, from Undy, and Jarvis, from Newport, were both found guilty by a jury of sexual activity with a child. Simmonds was found not guilty on five other charges of sexual activity with a child relating to the same victim. Judge Lucy Crowther adjourned the case for sentencing on September 29.

Search for missing ‘body' in river turns up life-size sex doll
A three-hour search for a missing body in an Idaho river ended with authorities pulling out a life-size silicon sex doll. The frantic effort to recover a human body from Blackfoot River began on Thursday morning after someone reported seeing one floating roughly 16 miles northeast of Soda Springs, according to Caribou County Sheriff Adam Mabey. Deputies deployed drones and divers went into the water around 12.30pm when they spotted the 'body'. 'When my team went in and pulled it out of the water, that's when they realized it was just a real life-size companion doll,' Mabey told East Idaho News on Saturday. The search crew took photos of the female doll but did not release them. It appeared to have been in the river for some time, Mabey said. The person responsible for putting the doll in the water would face littering charges. But the sheriff doubts they will be able to find out who did it. Despite putting resources into the false alarm situation, Mabey does not regret their response. 'Rather go all out and make sure we did everything properly at a scene,' he told the news outlet, 'Than to rush in and do something and find out we should've done something more.' The sheriff added that 'this whole story has generated a lot of jokes and stories and really interesting Facebook comments'. 'I was hoping it'd blow over and no one would ever hear about it,' Maybe said. 'But I can also see it's an interesting story.' The weird incident happened just over a year after a funeral worker allegedly tried to smuggle a life-size sex doll out of a dead man's home in a body bag. The worker and his colleague went to the Rock Creek Apartments in Omaha, Nebraska, to collect the corpse and found 'a very real life size version of an adult female' next to a bed, according to a Sarpy County Sheriff's deputy. Later that day in June 2024, the worker apparently returned later with a bag and said he came on behalf of the sheriff's office to recover the 'sex doll' for 'evidentiary purposes'. He was charged with burglary, tampering with physical evidence and criminal trespassing. Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@ For more stories like this, check our news page. Victory for farmers who sprayed travellers with manure in tractors as 500 squatters & 200 caravans FINALLY evicted
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) FRENCH farmers who sprayed manure at squatters invading their land celebrated a major victory after a court ordered the intruders to evict. Agricultural workers from the village of Hautes-Vosges in eastern France feared prosecution after they sprayed a mixture of faeces and water across their farmland to push out the invaders. The squatters, who parked their campers illegally, were seen battling to stop the onslaught of stinking faeces as the tractors chased them down. The hardworking farmers said they were driven to the boiling point after cops refused to step in and remove the "illegal gypsy camp" residing on their land. With harvest due in just a few weeks - and the invaders refusing to leave - they finally decided to take matters into their own hands. read more on the story POO LA LA Moment French farmers use tractors to spray hordes of travellers with manure The farmers told The Sun that a judge today ordered up to 500 members of a "travelling community of gypsies" to evict the encampment. François, 64, said: "It is a major victory for us. A civil court decision went in our favour. "The travellers were told to move out within 24 hours, or else face police intervention and fines. "Around 500 of them, travelling in about 200 caravans, all left." Loic Madre, the man who shot the video, claimed the travellers moved onto the field - meant for animals to graze on - without permission. To the farmers' delight, France's Interior Ministry said tighter controls on travelling communities would be introduced in the Autumn. Furious farmer caught a camper sleeping in his field and covered him in slurry An Interior Ministry spokesman said: "These measures aim, in particular, to increase prison sentences for illegal settlement involving acts of destruction, degradation, or deterioration, and harm to the natural environment." "Some 20 measures will be outlined in a legislative package that will be put to parliament in September." Travellers parking their caravans in any field they come across is viewed as a major problem across Europe, including in Britain. The squatters at Hautes-Vosges fought back against the farmers, attacking the tractor drivers and forming human chains to try and hold them up. One man was filmed jumping onto a moving tractor and frantically knocking on the driver's window. "The tractors almost knocked us over," said Olivier, spokesman for the Action Grand Passage association, which campaigns for traveller rights. "All we want is a place to stay for a few days, but these cowboys are stopping us," Olivier added. Last year, a similar tactic was adopted by Brit farmer Jack Bellamy when he caught a camper on his land. Shocking footage showed an angry Bellamy spotting the tent and saying: 'I tell you what, these ***** will set up anywhere.' He then jumped in his tractor and drove up alongside the trespasser, unleashing a 15-second blast of stinking slurry.
