Morat, Alejandro Sanz, Karol G, & More: Vote for the Best New Latin Music This Week
This week, Billboard's New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music, including a handful of new albums by Alejandro Sanz (¿Y Ahora Qué?), Jesse & Joy (Lo Que Nos Faltó Decir), and Los Tigres del Norte (La Lotería), to name a few.
Morat delivered its 14-track Ya Es Mañana (YEM) album, where they not only continue to solidify themselves as Bogotá's prolific pop-rock band, but also their loyal brotherhood and evolution. Inspired by riveting rock music from the '90s and celebrating those dreams that have come true, YEM includes collaborations with Jay Wheeler on 'Sin Ti' and Camilo on 'Me Toca a Mí.'

Latin hitmaker Sergio George also unleashed his album Ataca Sergio! Presents: Urban Salsa Sessions featuring some of today's Latin pop and urban stars singing brand new salsa songs. On the 11-track set, he reeled in artists such as Wisin, Ryan Castro, Jay Wheeler, Elena Rose, Oscar D' Leon, and even actor Anthony Ramos to sing a salsa tune in English. Notably is the focus track, 'La Gata y el Ratón,' where Fariana and Juanes are joined by a sample of Cheo Feliciano's original voice for a bold interpolation of Cheo's 1974 classic 'El Ratón.'
Other new releases this week include music from Greeicy, Christian Nodal, Myke Towers, Trueno, and many more. Last week, Sebastian Yatra's Milagro album won the poll with over 78% of the vote.

"Apt." is now tied with 'Who' for the honor of being the third-longest-running win by any K-pop musician in the history of the Streaming Songs roster. Psy Will Likely Always Be the Winner 'Gangnam Style' by Psy, which helped kick off the K-pop craze that continues to this day, is easily in first place on this historic list. That breakout smash remained on the chart for an amazing 122 weeks, and his is a record that will likely never be beaten. "Baby Shark," which comes from South Korean brand Pinkfong, managed 59 stays on the Streaming Songs chart. Rosé will almost certainly beat Jimin's record next week, but she has a long way to go before tying — and perhaps even topping — Pinkfong. It seems almost impossible that the Blackpink superstar, or anyone for that matter, will ever catch up to Psy, who may hold onto that special honor forever. 'Apt.' Remains a Massive Hit in America "Apt." remains a major hit across all consumption methods in the U.S. While the tune is declining on both the Digital Song Sales and Radio Songs charts, it sits in loftier positions there than on the Streaming Songs ranking. Rosé's breakout smash lives at No. 21 on the Digital Song Sales chart and No. 27 on the Radio Songs list, and it remains a top 10 hit on both of Billboard's global tallies.

Walter Scott Jr., founding member of R&B group ‘The Whispers,' dead at 81 after cancer battle
Walter Scott Jr., a founding member of the iconic R&B group The Whispers, died after his six-month-long battle with cancer on Thursday. He was 81 years old. Scott was surrounded by his loved ones in Northridge, Calif., a suburb of Los Angeles, when he died, according to the Los Angeles Sentinel. 'Walter was more than a performer — he was part of a movement that brought soul, harmony, and timeless love songs to generations,' Benson-Brockington wrote. 'His legacy will continue to live on through every note, every lyric, and every fan he touched.' These days, the rapper remains on the weekly rankings thanks solely to some of his decades-old compositions. As Americans continue to buy and stream some of the hip-hop superstar's classics, one track in particular reasserts itself as his most successful and becomes a proper bestseller yet again. "Lose Yourself" returns to a pair of Billboard rankings this frame, breaking back onto both the Rap Digital Song Sales and R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales tallies. It reenters those lists at Nos. 8 and 14, respectively. It wouldn't be unusual for a musician as celebrated as Eminem to score one or two hits in the United States, even with decades-old tunes. But what is notable is that "Lose Yourself" remains a top 10 bestseller — albeit only on a genre-specific roster. "Lose Yourself" is approaching 500 weeks on both of the charts on which it currently appears. If it can hold on for another month on the Rap Digital Song Sales tally, it will hit that milestone. While it still has several dozen more frames to go on the broader R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking, it seems likely that it will eventually make it to that landmark figure as well. Amazingly, despite the fact that "Lose Yourself" has spent nearly 500 spans on both charts, it has yet to reach No. 1 on either of them. Eminem's smash has stalled in the runner-up space on both sales lists, coming frustratingly close to adding to his growing roster of champions on more than one occasion. Eminem's Oscar-Winning Smash Eminem released "Lose Yourself" in October 2002. The song served as the lead single from the 8 Mile soundtrack. The tune was a huge commercial success, ruling the Hot 100 for 12 consecutive frames and dominating multiple other rankings around the world. In addition to becoming yet another hit for the rapper, "Lose Yourself" also won Eminem several Grammy Awards and even the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making him the first rapper to snag that prize.
