Lebanon's star singer Fairuz left the'Raqd Al -Sayeda' church in the town of al-Mhaydseh in Kafia following the funeral of her son, composer Ziad Rahbani, who died on Saturday at the age of 69. The star of Lebanon was seen walking in a slow pace, surrounded by her family and security personnel, while crowds of Rahbani's fans gathered outside to mourn the late singer. With tears, dancing and applause Rahbani's fans bid farewell to the beloved singer – simultaneously mourning his death while celebrating his life. The mourners celebrated by dancing to the tunes of his famous song 'Bala Wala Chi' in honor of his immortal artistic career and spirit. Among the most prominent attendants of the funerals were Carmen Labs, Julia Boutros, Magda al-Roumi, Najwa Karam, Heba Tuji, the first Lebanese lady Nemat Aoun, Rita Hayek, Marcel Khalife and singer Madonna. Rahbani passed away after suffering from an illness, and the pathologist revealed that the cause of death was due to chronic liver problems, which exacerbated the last 15 days of his life.
