Bradley Cooper new documentary sheds light on caregiving crisis
A new documentary, "Caregiving," executive produced by Oscar-nominated actor Bradley Cooper, will explore the hidden struggles of caregivers.

When his father was sick, Bradley Cooper said he moved back in with his parents.
Through bathing his father and helping him use the bathroom, Cooper was a caregiver, unbeknownst to the world – and even to himself.
"I didn't ever even realize that I was one," the actor said to a room full of caregivers who could relate.
Cooper attended a screening event and panel on June 12 for his new documentary, "Caregiving" (premiering June 24 on PBS at 9 p.m. ET). Along with his daughter, Lea, other A-list caregivers united, including actress Uzo Aduba, Bruce Willis' wife Emma Heming Willis and TV journalists Deborah Roberts and Al Roker.

Cooper said he was "in awe" of the paid caregivers who helped his father when he was sick.
"When I was in the active action of caring, it was very fulfilling," Cooper said. He lived with his parents for eight months before his father died on Jan. 15, 2011. "It was the moments of solitude and quiet after where I felt scared and confused and frightened because of the role reversal, because of so many things, because of how surreal life became."
Even after 14 years, he said, he's still processing what he and his family went through in their care journey.

Cooper said his father died in his arms.
But just before then, while his father was in hospice, Cooper revealed his mother was concerned about something else.
Cooper said he ate a tuna sandwich earlier that day or the day before, in those final moments his father was alive.
"All my mom was worried about was my tuna breath on my father," he said, laughing.
One of the greatest gifts of caregiving, Cooper said in the film, was the time he was able to spend with his father before he died. He said he found a lot of joy in those last weeks and days.
"It's life," he said. "It's just real life."

Michael Ward, 'Top Boy' actor, charged with rape in UK
Michael Ward, the BAFTA-winning actor best known for his performance in "Top Boy," has been charged with several counts of sexual assault and rape following an investigation. Ward, 27, a native of the United Kingdom, was charged with two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault, a July 25 release from the country's Metropolitan Police confirmed. Is ‘The View' going on hiatus? What to know after Joy Behar's comments
As President Donald Trump continues to feud with the entertainment industry, of which he was once a part, speculations have emerged that another fan-favorite show is being slashed. ABC Network's "The View" has found itself in dispute with the Trump administration, with a White House spokesperson suggesting the long-time talk show could be coming to an end. During a July 23 episode, co-host Joy Behar remarked that Trump is jealous of former President Barack Obama because 'Obama is everything that he is not.' She added that, unlike Trump, Obama is 'trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and can sing Al Green's song 'Let's Stay Together' better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it." "It's driving him crazy,' she added. Earlier this month, CBS announced the cancellation of the late-night comedy 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' after 33 years, a decision Trump celebrated on social media. White House responds White House Assistant Press Secretary Taylor Rogers responded to Behar's comments by referring to the comedian as 'an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.' 'It's no surprise that The View's ratings hit an all-time low last year. She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air,' Rogers said in a statement. 'I'm allowed to say that, right?' The following day, Thursday, July 24, Behar revealed the daytime talk show was getting ready to go on summer break. "The View" takes about a month-long break in August every summer, and it appears the "hiatus" Behar was referring to was not unusual for the show, which just wrapped up its 28th season. How did this start? The latest tension between the White House and 'The View' began after an Oval Office meeting with Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr on July 22, when Trump accused Obama of treason. Later that day, Obama addressed a July 18 report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence that claimed the former president 'manufactured and politicized intelligence" to undermine Trump's presidential victory over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016. Obama dismissed the allegations against him, calling them the typical 'nonsense and misinformation' emerging from the Trump administration. He noted the U.S. intelligence community's conclusion that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election. On the next morning's episode of 'The View,' Behar defended Obama with a sly remark about Trump and the overrunning of the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Travis Kelce, Bad Bunny make honey-filled 'Happy Gilmore 2' appearance
Editor's note: Some minor "Happy Gilmore 2" spoilers below. Sometimes going to your happy place makes all the difference. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been a superstar and a fan favorite on the NFL field. He may become a Hollywood villain off of it. Kelce made an appearance in Adam Sandler-led golf comedy flick "Happy Gilmore 2" as a restaurant manager who is something of a bully to his subordinate Oscar, played by singer and entertainer Bad Bunny. Kelce is in a pair of scenes in the movie, but the more notable one features Bad Bunny's character "Oscar" going to his happy place, in which he slathers honey over a half-naked Kelce, who is tied to a post. Kelce is then left to be devoured by a bear in the fantasy sequence. Earlier, Kelce chest-bumps Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa through a restaurant table. "I thought he was tremendous, and could totally be a superstar in acting," star Sandler said about Kelce in a recent interview. The movie also features cameos by some of golf's biggest stars, past and present, including Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas and Will Zalatoris. As far as Netflix producing another comedy hit? Well, Happy Gilmore accomplished that feat no more than an hour ago.
