Judge Iris Awen Jon fixed the dates after defence counsel Samuel Bong Xuan En requested an extension of his client's bail, which was granted.
Bong also informed the court that his legal firm Suhaili & Bong Advocates, as well as Chan Khoon Moh Advocates represented by Datuk Azrin Ahmat, had not been listed as counsels on the cause list.
'As such, we are currently unable to access the case files in the court's file system and humbly request that access be granted,' he said.
Last December, the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) in a statement said BCS Aviation was charged with committing 30 offences under Section 37(1) of the Mavcom Act 2015, while Song faced the same 30 charges under the same Section read together with Section 92(2)(b) of the same Act.
The offences were allegedly committed at the North Pan Hangar of Kuching International Airport between July 29 and Aug 18, 2019.
Conviction carries a fine not exceeding RM1 million or imprisonment for up to three years, or both.
Under the law, a valid GHL issued by Mavcom is required by any party wishing to carry out ground-handling services in Malaysia, including aircraft refuelling activities.
Deputy public prosecutor Mohamad Aiman Mutallib Mohamad Shariff appeared for the prosecution.

Acting Kuching district police chief Supt Merbin Lisa said the victim lodged a report on July 26, revealing she had been deceived over several months. The scam began in December 2024, when she was contacted via WhatsApp by someone using the name 'Zhao Yong' and the number +852 5747 3477. After building trust, the scammer introduced another individual posing as a lawyer named 'Hai Na Bai Chuan', who claimed to be handling a cash gift on Zhao's behalf. A third accomplice, purportedly a bank manager named 'Kamarul Ranizu', was later introduced to facilitate the transaction. 'Trusting the scammer's elaborate promises, the woman borrowed money from relatives, sold her car, and secured loans from licensed moneylenders to make a series of payments. 'Between December 2024 and July this year, she made a total of 25 transactions across 18 different bank accounts, supposedly to cover taxes and other 'processing fees'. 'Eventually realising she had been deceived, the victim reported the matter to police, disclosing the total loss of RM1,213,742,' Merbin said in a statement. He added that this case is among eight love scams recorded by Kuching district's Commercial Crime Investigation Division between Jan 1 and July 31 this year, with combined losses totalling RM1,326,050. The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating and dishonestly inducing the delivery of property, which carries a sentence of not less than one year and up to ten years in prison, whipping, and a possible fine upon conviction. Merbin urged the public to remain vigilant when engaging with strangers online. Crackdown on littering near Grand Merdeka Mall

City Hall is cracking down on those who dispose of their rubbish indiscriminately along the road leading to a Manggatal commercial centre. This action follows feedback about the refuse strewn about near the planter boxes and on the pavement beside the Grand Merdeka Mall. A Manggatal resident bemoaned the bits of litter – including cigarette butts, empty styrofoam food containers and plastic cups – left behind along a section of Bandar Sierra Boulevard 1 by many patrons of the night-market held outside the Mall. The individual provided Hotline with the pertinent details which were forwarded to the agency. A spokesman for its Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) warned that anyone caught throwing their refuse haphazardly on the road-shoulder beside the Mall risked being served with a compound for as much as RM500 under City Hall's Anti-Litter By-Laws 1984 (Amendment 2005). 'We are aware that some nightmarket-goers have the habit of sitting against the planter boxes to enjoy the food and drinks they have bought at the stalls,' he said. 'Others sit in their vehicles to do this. 'Whatever the case, these individuals should dispose of their garbage responsibly in bins and not leave the common area in a mess. 'If they fail to be more civic minded, when it comes to getting rid of their rubbish, and are witnessed littering, then we will not hesitate to take them to task.' He said SWMD officers met with a staff from the Mall's management, who oversees the nightmarket, to discuss what had been transpiring there on Wednesday. 'Our personnel were made to understand that the part of the compound, where the nightmarket is held, is cleaned up daily after the stalls close.' To prove that it means business, City Hall penalised 11 litterbugs during a random check carried out along this part of Bandar Sierra Boulevard 1 between 4.00pm and 8.00pm later that same day. 'We will continue to monitor the goings-on around the road and the Mall from time to time.' He said those who repeatedly disregarded the agency's calls to refrain from littering in the common areas could wind up having legal action taken against them. 'They will become liable to a fine for as much as RM 10,000, if they are found guilty in court.' The spokesman said City Hall had been coming down hard on littering violations in a bid to get the public to take a more active role in keeping its rating-area clean. 'It is not just up to our garbage collectors and street-sweepers to keep the commercial properties around our rating-area looking presentable and pleasing to the eye, especially to the many first time visitors from abroad. 'It is the collective responsibility of everyone who lives, works and frequents these locales.' The agency collected a total of RM1,700 in the on-the-spot compounds from 85 wrongdoers, including those at the Mall, as part of its 'Ops Bersih' in July, according to him. 'The Mall had the most offenders when it came to areas inspected outside the City. 'This was followed by Inanam, where nine errant individuals were nabbed. Six were taken to task around Manggatal.' Between four to five SWMD inspectors in plain clothes carried out 34 separate inspections between July 1 and July 31. Besides Grand Merdeka Mall, Inanam and Manggatal, the Department's team also went to Damai Plaza, Likas Plaza, Mini Putrajaya, Kingfisher Plaza, the Indah Permai shops and the Salut Commercial Centre, according to the spokesman. When it came to the City, he said checks were made around the Bandaran Berjaya shophouses, as well as those around Kg Air and Sinsuran. On top of this, checks were also made of the common areas around Centre Point Sabah and Gaya Street. Man charged with raping ex-sister-in-law
KUALA LUMPUR: An unemployed man was charged at the Sessions Court today with raping his former sister-in-law in 2023. The 31-year-old claimed trial before Sessions Court judge Siti Shakirah Mohtarudin. He is accused of raping the 31-year-old victim at her house in Bandar Bukit Jalil around 3.30am on Jan 22, 2023. The charge, framed under Section 376 of the Penal Code, carries a maximum 20-year jail term and whipping, upon conviction. Police investigations revealed that the accused fled after the victim lodged a report two years ago. However, his luck ran out when he was arrested in a separate case involving a drug offence. Further checks showed he was wanted for the alleged rape. He was earlier charged in the magistrate's court over the drug-related case. Deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Zul Hilmi Latif did not offer bail as the offence is non-bailable. "But if the court wants to use its discretion to allow bail under Section 388 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the prosecution asks for a high bail to be imposed. "The accused must also be ordered to report to the police station monthly and not harass the victim," he said. The accused, who was not represented, was asked by the judge whether he understood the charge and if there was anyone who would post bail. "I understand. No one is here to bail me," he said. Siti Shakirah did not grant bail and set Aug 26 for document submission and appointment of a lawyer.
