Anurag Bas's Metro... In Dino Earns Rs 2 Crore At Box Office On 1st Monday
Anurag Basu's ensemble romantic drama Metro… In Dino maintained its positive momentum over the weekend and has started strong on its first Monday. Metro… In Dino has earned Rs 2.50 crore nett on its first Monday at the box office. The total earning now stands at Rs 19.25 crore and the film's collection is expected to be steady as it enters its second week with a slew of new releases lined up.
The film's opening weekend totalled Rs 15.75 crore, with day-wise collections of Rs 3.25 crore on Friday, Rs 5.75 crore on Saturday, and Rs 6.75 crore on Sunday. Metro In Dino began its theatrical run well and its first-day gross collection was 300% higher than Anurag Basu's 2007 sleeper hit Life In A Metro, which debuted at Rs 80 lakh.
Metro…In dino is a spiritual sequel to 2007's Life In A Metro and stars Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh and others. It looks at modern relationships in metropolitan environments. While Konkona is the only actor who has been cast since 2007, Pankaj plays a role similar to Irrfan Khan's character Monty opposite her. He is seen as a quirky, emotionally layered man navigating the intricacies of modern relationships.
Metro In Dino has been praised for its relatable take on love and commitment. An excerpt from News18's review states, 'It's not every day that we get to see a Bollywood love story written with so much heart, maturity, intensity, intimacy and subtlety. Metro In Dino is a masterclass on modern-day love. It's for the lonely, for the ones who won in love and then lost some. It's as much Anurag's film as Pritam's. Zamaana Lage, Dil Ka Kya and Mann Ye Mera stand out particularly. Rush to the cinemas now!"
Anurag Basu's signature storytelling style, combined with Pritam's soul-stirring music, has already received widespread acclaim.

Recently, they invited their fans for a tour of their beautiful home, which was adorned with frames containing several memories, stories and love. Right from the lobby of their house, one can see portraits of the family, and a few beautiful picture clicked by their photographer friend Prasad Naik. Neha Dhupia seems to get lost while explaining the origin behind a picture, when Angad urges his wife and the host of the video to come into the house and not waste any more time standing in the lobby. Angad jokes with the host that it is quite a ceremonious thing, that he has been allowed to shoot the video inside the house, as Neha gives all the orders regarding the household and she can be rather tough. 'You have got the permission today, and that's very good. Even I don't enter this house without her permission because all of this has been built by her and this is her house.' Neha Dhupia then proceeds to tell the story behind an artwork looking over their dining table and says, 'There are twin pieces and they are originally supposed to be facing away from each other but I got in a squabble with my mother-in-law, who wanted them to face towards each other, and after a lot of discussion she won and it has been this way ever since.' The actor immediately starts cleaning after herself as she sits down with a cup, and admits that she has a little OCD, and she acts as the 'Monica Geller' for many different homes. Photos | Suniel Shetty's Rs 20 crore Khandala farmhouse boasts water body, theatre and forest view Neha Dhupia also talks about the reason for leaving their previous home and says, 'A big space is very important, and even though our first home will always remain our first love, we enjoy this place a lot. The kids get to run around, and even we have guests sometimes, so it's nice.' Angad Bedi then takes a jab at Neha and tells the audience how they have a set 'in-time' and 'out-time,' and warns people who are about to get married that they will soon discover these things. Apart from their collection of artworks and portraits, the couple also showed off their comprehensive book collection, consisting of coffee-table books about Bob Marley and biographical books about Angad's father and legendary Indian cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi. Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi talked more about their love for different artifacts around the house, and Angad took the audience on a stroll down memory lane, as he told the stories behind several pictures from his dad's cricketing days.

However, it has surpassed the lifetime earnings of its spiritual sequel, Life In A Metro, which had earned ₹ 19.05 crore. Chennai Cocaine Case: Conditional Bail Granted To Actors Srikanth And Krishna
Chennai: Actors Srikanth and Krishna have been granted conditional bail by the Madras High Court in the Chennai cocaine case that has rocked the Tamil film industry. The two actors, arrested in connection with an alleged high-profile drug racket, have been ordered to report daily at the Nungambakkam Police Station as part of their bail conditions. The actors were arrested after police arrested Prasad, a former AIADMK functionary accused of supplying cocaine to actor Srikanth, and Kevin, who allegedly sold drugs to Krishna. A Ghana national named John and another individual, Pradeep, were also taken into custody. Police say Kevin was caught with cocaine, referred to as ganja, methamphetamine, and Rs 45,000 in cash. Krishna allegedly consumed and shared drugs with friends and was part of WhatsApp groups used to coordinate drug use. Srikanth is believed to have had direct links with a drug cartel, having both purchased and used narcotics supplied by Prasad. Both actors belong to prominent film families. Srikanth has acted in around 70 films, while Krishna is the son of a film producer and brother of filmmaker Vishnu Varadhan, and has starred in celebrated Tamil films including Anjali, Iruvar, and Thalapathy. Reports suggest that other actors may be under the police radar in connection with the case. Following the controversy, Kerala-based film producers have made anti-drug affidavits mandatory on film sets. Law enforcement authorities have issued a stern warning that withholding information about drug possession or usage will now be treated as a criminal offence.
