Hazel Ortega Leads 'HERO INITIATIVE' in East L A a Live Show Empowering Kids Through Action, Imagination and Purpose

In collaboration with Dream Alliant Entertainment, high-level stunt performances and emotional development tools delivered a clear message to kids.
'Every child has the power to rewrite their story'— Hazel Ortega -Psychologist, Entrepreneur and Author
HOLLYWOOD, CA, UNITED STATES, May 4, 2025 / EINPresswire.com / -- On a vibrant Tuesday morning, the playground at Our Lady of Guadalupe School in East L.A. transformed into a stage for inspiration as High Tide Global, founded by renowned psychologist, philanthropist, and author Hazel Ortega, launched a groundbreaking event:
The 'Hero Initiative' a Live Inspiration in Action.
In collaboration with Dream Alliant Entertainment, the event united storytelling, high-level stunt performance, and emotional development to send a clear message to youth: you already have everything within you to become the hero of your own story.
Hazel Ortega, whose personal journey from high school dropout in East L.A. to multi-millionaire entrepreneur and global speaker continues to inspire communities worldwide, was the heart and soul behind this movement. Recently honored as Woman of Achievement 2025 by Senator Bob Archuleta, Ortega now channels her energy into bringing tools of transformation directly to underserved children—starting with her own hometown.
'Every child has the power to rewrite their story,' said Ortega. 'We're here to give them the inspiration, the mindset tools, and the belief that they can dream big—and live it.'
The show, co-produced by Brunson K. Delves (Disney stunt expert and creative director), featured a cast of world-class performers, including Quami Dushön (MC and motivational artist), Meghan Grubbs (international stunt actress and advocate for children's arts), and Alex Suarez (martial arts choreographer and stage combat expert). Through parkour, aerial stunts, music, and interactive storytelling, students were taken on an unforgettable journey of courage, resilience, and self-belief.
The experience is more than entertainment—it's part of a deeper educational effort. Each school performance integrates powerful messages about self-esteem, visualization, and positive thinking. Following the show, schools are invited to participate in The Little Alchemists, a 12-week curriculum that teaches social-emotional skills like resilience, emotional regulation, and growth mindset to children ages 5–10.
Studies have shown that programs like this not only reduce behavioral issues but also improve academic performance and emotional well-being.
The Hero Initiative is part of High Tide Global's larger mission: to transform lives in underserved communities worldwide. From Mexico to Uganda, and now back in East L.A., Hazel Ortega's work continues to plant seeds of hope and empowerment wherever she goes.
The show's rundown offered an immersive and playful experience where children were encouraged to arrive dressed as their favorite superheroes or to invent their own hero personas. The event kicked off with a dynamic presentation featuring humorous characters who introduced cultural and historical facts in a fun, superhero-themed atmosphere. Afterward, the excitement moved to the main activity area, where a surprise appearance of the iconic Batmobile—alongside Batman himself—sparked joy and amazement. Kids had the chance to interact with the vehicle, take photos, and engage in light stunt-inspired activities led by the professional cast, including rope acrobatics, soft tumbling, and safe jumps on padded mats. This hands-on play not only inspired their imaginations but allowed them to feel like real heroes for the day, surrounded by laughter, empowerment, and celebration.
'This isn't just a show,' says Ortega. 'It's a movement to remind kids—and their schools, parents, and communities—that being a hero starts with believing you can be.'
High Tide Global is a nonprofit founded by Hazel Ortega that delivers self-esteem and mindset training to children, families, and justice-impacted individuals around the world. Its programs operate in the U.S., Latin America, and Africa, empowering communities through education, emotional development, and purpose-driven initiatives.

Netflix Announces Major Wednesday Update – And 1 Exciting Hint About It's Future

If you were one of the millions of fans who helped make Wednesday the most-watched English-language Netflix show of all time, there's some very good news about the future of the series. With season two of the award-winning reimagining of The Addams Family starring Jenna Ortega coming this August, there's now even more cause for celebration as Netflix has renewed for a third season. The streamer confirmed the news on its social media this week, sharing a post of Wednesday holding a spooky crystal ball with the number three on it, along with the tagline 'bad things come in threes'. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Wednesday Netflix (@wednesdaynetflix) The caption added: 'Season 2 awakens in two weeks. Season 3 is the next omen, already in motion, already inevitable.' And not only has Wednesday been confirmed for season three, but it looks like a spinoff series is in the early stages of discussions. As revealed in a new joint interview with star Jenna and director and executive producer Tim Burton in The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Alfred Gough said a secretive spinoff is 'something we're definitely noodling; there are other characters we can look at'. She would never leave you hanging. Wednesday has been officially renewed for Season 3. Season 2 awakens in two weeks. — Netflix (@netflix) July 23, 2025 Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria also hinted that 'there's a lot to explore in the Addams Family'. While further details about the future of Wednesday remain under wraps for now, showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar added in a statement (via Deadline): 'It's been a dark delight to watch Wednesday cast her spell over audiences across the globe – one deadpan quip at a time. We're beyond thrilled she'll be returning to stalk the halls of Nevermore in Season 3. 'This time, she'll unearth more of the school's sinister secrets – and descend even deeper into the Addams family crypt. Or, as Wednesday would say: 'Nothing brings a family together like a good exhumation'.' In a statement to Netflix's Tudum, Alfred did give one hint that we will be 'seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3'. The news comes after fans learned last year that Lady Gaga was reported to be in a guest role for season two. Other new additions to the season two cast include Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley and Steve Buscemi. Part one of season two is set to drop on 6 August, with part two arriving on 3 September. Related... Will There Be An Untamed Season 2? Ozzy Osbourne was ‘totally devoted' to wife Sharon and kids: ‘They loved him so much'

Ozzy Osbourne was no ordinary man — especially to his wife and children. The world is in mourning after the Black Sabbath frontman died on Tuesday, July 23, with his loved ones confirming the news in a heartfelt statement. 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,' his wife, daughters Amiee, 41, and Kelly, 40, and sons Jack, 39, and Louis, 50, whom Osbourne welcomed with his first wife, shared on Tuesday. Following his death, several former colleagues have stepped forward to share their memories of the rock legend. Hollywood cinematographer Cameron Glendenning first met Ozzy and the family when he joined the crew of their hit reality show, 'The Osbournes' in 2002. He continued working with the 'Hellraiser' singer, Sharon, Kelly and Jack until their MTV series came to an end in 2005 after four seasons before teaming up with the Prince of Darkness for the 2020 documentary 'Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne.' Glendenning reminisced about Osbourne's commitment to his family, telling The Post the rock star had 'total devotion' for his wife and children, despite having marriage hiccups along the way. 'Sharon and Ozzy have a storied history of their marriage. And it's all the stuff of legend,' he shared in an exclusive phone interview on Tuesday. 'What I witnessed, it was just nothing short of devotion.' The pair split in 2016 on the heels of rumors that he had an affair. It was revealed that he cheated with his former hairstylist Michelle Pugh, and Sharon contemplated suicide when she learned of the deception. However, they got back together and renewed their vows the following year. The award-winning cinematographer said despite their past, Osbourne and Sharon's dedication to each other during the time he spent with them was 'inspirational.' 'They were just totally in love and devoted to each other, and that wasn't for the cameras. That was just who they were,' Glendenning told The Post. 'They loved him so much. They all just absolutely adored him,' he reminisced about Osbourne's youngest kids, Kelly and Jack, who starred on the reality show with their parents. 'He earned it with them because he showed them a lot of love and adoration in return,' Glendenning added. 'The absolute love and devotion that every one of them has for Ozzy, I think no matter how strong we all are, today's gotta be pretty hard,' he explained about how the family is likely coping with Osbourne's death. Glendenning noted that his time with the Osbourne family was 'very special.' 'I'll cherish it forever,' he said. 'I will cherish every experience I have with him and that whole family. They're all wonderful people and I'm just grateful to know them.' Glendenning also told The Post that he has been in contact with the former reality TV and documentary crew about Osbourne's passing. 'I think we're all definitely mourning him,' he shared. He compared Osbourne to the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards, now 81, noting they both had wild pasts. 'I kind of thought he was going to be like a Keith Richards, man. I just thought nothing was going to kill him. You know, like, [he's] too tough to die,' Glendenning said during the interview. 'I felt like he really was one of those few people who was just such an absolute legend that you just, I don't know, maybe he was immortal, you know? I mean, he is.' Osbourne's wife made a similar comment back in 2010. 'I've always said that at the end of the world there will be roaches, Ozzy and Keith Richards,' Sharon joked at the time. 'He's going to outlive us all. That fascinated me — how his body can endure so much.' While details surrounding Osbourne's death have not been revealed, Kelly shot down the idea that her parents had a 'suicide pact' — despite Sharon herself previously admitting to the agreement. 'That was bulls–t my mom said to get attention one time. And my dad's not dying. Stop,' Kelly posted to her Instagram Story on July 11. The five-time Grammy winner's two living sisters spoke out about his death, revealing they recently saw him at his final Black Sabbath performance on June 5. Noting that 'he was frail,' his siblings shared that his death 'still came as a shock.' Earlier this month, Osbourne reunited with the heavy metal band to perform their farewell concert in England. He performed the final show of his life and was able to watch his daughter, Kelly, get engaged to her boyfriend, Sid Wilson, the same day. The last several years of Osbourne's life were 'absolute hell' for the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer due to his Parkinson's diagnosis and other health ailments, he confessed on 'Piers Morgan Uncensored' in September 2023. 'My family has been so supportive,' he said at the time. 'I couldn't have done it without them. It's been really a bad scene.' The 'Mama, I'm Coming Home' singer also admitted that his final wish was to feel 'well enough' for one last live performance. 'That's what I'm working towards, and if I drop down dead at the end of it, I'll die a happy man,' Osbourne told Rolling Stone in 2023. Black Sabbath posted a photo of the frontman on social media after his death, simply writing, 'Ozzy Forever.' The group's guitarist, Tony Iommi, shared a separate tribute on behalf of his band members. 'I just can't believe it,' Iommi said on X. 'My dear dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park. 'It's just such heartbreaking news that I can't really find the words. There won't ever be another like him. [Terrence] Geezer [Butler], Bill [Ward] and myself have lost our brother. 'My thoughts go out to Sharon and all the Osbourne family,' he concluded. 'Rest in Pease, Oz. Tony.' Osbourne leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Sharon, and his six children — Aimee, Kelly and Jack, whom he shared with Sharon, as well as Louis, Jessica and Elliot from his first marriage. THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS In-Universe Time Magazine Covers Spotlight Marvel's First Family — GeekTyrant

Marvel Studios is going all-in with its marketing for The Fantastic Four: First Steps , and this it a pretty cool marketing campaign, as the studio has dropped a series of in-universe magazine covers featuring Marvel's First Family gracing the front pages of iconic publications like Time, People, and Men's Health, and the attention to detail is next level. The retro-futuristic aesthetic perfectly fits the film's 1960s-inspired tone, and each cover highlights a different side of the team. Time spotlights Reed Richards and Sue Storm in their dual roles as scientists and heroes, while Johnny Storm leans into his celebrity persona (complete with ads for his 'Hot' aftershave), and Ben Grimm stands tall as the reluctant star everyone can't stop talking about. But the campaign isn't just about style, it's sprinkled with clever Easter eggs. Case in point: People magazine's feature on H.E.R.B.I.E. hides a subtle nod to none other than Doctor Doom with 'Doom Detection'. You can see screen shots of that below. I also included information below all the magazine covers that has been making the rounds online about Doctor Doom, but if true, it's spoiler territory. So, read at your own risk. For now, these magazine covers give fans a fun peek into how Marvel is treating the Fantastic Four as celebrities within their own universe. It's a smart way to build hype while staying true to the spirit of the comics. What do you think of Marvel's in-universe marketing?
