Colley's agent of 10 years, Julian Owen, issued a statement which said that he died "peacefully" on Monday June 30 in Ashford, Kent.
The statement said: "He had been admitted after a fall with an injured arm, however he quickly contracted Covid which developed into pneumonia. He passed away peacefully with friends at his bedside.
"Ken Colley was one of our finest character actors with a career spanning 60 years.
"Ken continually worked on stage, film and television playing a vast array of characters, from Jesus in Monty Python's Life of Brian to evil and eccentric characters in Ken Russell films, and the Duke of Vienna in Shakespeare's Measure for Measure for the BBC."
In later years he reprised his role of Admiral Piett when he voiced the character in the 2012 animated Lego production, Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out.
He also had parts in international productions including Clint Eastwood's Firefox and the Second World War series War and Remembrance.
The statement added: "Ken's favourite part was playing Estragon in the stage production of Beckett's classic Waiting for Godot at the Cockpit Theatre in London in 2014.
"Ken's participation in Star Wars led him to being invited to conventions and official fan events all over the World where he remains one of the best loved actors from the original trilogy.
"Ken loved his garden, art collecting and had a passion for fast cars."
Colley is also known for playing Jesus in Monty Python's Life of Brian alongside English actors' John Cleese, Graham Chapman and Michael Palin.

The reunited brothers marched out last night for their first gig in 16 years to deafening cheers from a 74,500 sell-out crowd at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. They then smashed into 1995 B-side and fan favourite Acquiesce. The poignancy of the lyrics — including 'because we need each other, we believe in one another' — was lost on no one in the crowd. Many believed they would never see the day Noel, 58, was back on stage with Liam, 52, after their bitter feud which erupted when Oasis split up in 2009. Liam, boiling in a thick coat on stage, shouted: 'Yes, beautiful people, simmer down', as the band settled in for their set — which was ear-splittingly loud thanks to 19 enormous speakers at the front of the Principality Stadium stage. Fans who travelled from across the world to hear the band's hits weren't disappointed, with Noel and Liam curating a set list mainly from their first two albums, 1994's Definitely Maybe and 1995's (What's The Story) Morning Glory?. Both records celebrated their 30th anniversaries in the past year and the crowd lapped up every second of the nostalgic tracks. Liam kept his words short and sweet, joking: 'You're still on the glue down here, then', in reference to fans going wild as they played their 1995 No 1 hit Some Might Say, then Bring It On Down. Before Cigarettes & Alcohol, Liam dished out orders to the crowd, urging them: 'I want you to do us a favour. I don't ask much. 'I want you to turn around, every single one of you. Put your arms around each other like you like each other and when the tune starts you jump up and down. It's f***ing easy.' Oasis kick off historic reunion tour as Noel & Liam reunite for first show in Cardiff 7 Oasis' set list for their return gig in Cardiff ended with Champagne Supernova The concrete floor literally shook under the weight of tens of thousands of frenzied fans who dutifully jumped up and down during Fade Away, Supersonic and Roll With It. In the stands model Cara Delevingne danced with actress Anya Taylor-Joy, while Danny Dyer, singer Louis Tomlinson and Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno bounced around. Fans had feared Liam was struggling with his voice prior to the show after he was seen arriving at rehearsals with throat sweets. But on stage he sounded better than ever and when he handed over to his brother, he looked like he still had plenty of gas in the tank. Taking the mic from Liam, Noel thanked the fans before crooning Talk Tonight, Half The World Away and Little by Little — the only song in the set to be taken from their 2002 album Heathen Chemistry. Noel and Liam worked so hard to make sure this set list celebrated everything that was great about Oasis. At points he appeared genuinely taken aback by the reaction of the crowd — allowing him to soak in the atmosphere as they sang for him. Liam returned to his older sibling for D'You Know What I Mean?. In terms of musicality and ability, both Noel and Liam have bettered with age, with Oasis stalwarts Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell working their way through the classics. Drummer Joey Waronker looked just at home — despite never playing live with the band before. Noel and Liam rounded off the mellow middle segment of the show with Stand by Me, before Cast No Shadow and Slide Away. Before the brothers took to the stage, insiders told The Sun the pair were 'good as gold,' and said that the atmosphere backstage was 'positive and zen'. Oasis numbers 70m records sold worldwide 8 number one albums and 8 number one singles 6 Brit Awards and 9 Q Awards 255+ arguments and 1 reconciliation A source added: 'Noel and Liam worked so hard to make sure this set list celebrated everything that was great about Oasis. 'They felt so confident when they went out on that stage. 'After the final run through with the band this week, they said there was nothing more they could do and it was in the lap of the gods.' The crowd, thousands of whom sprinted through the gates at 5pm once they opened to get to the front of the stage, were on song all night, bellowing out their favourites. Noel and Liam are back on stage tonight for a second sold-out show in Cardiff before a break until a run of five gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park from next Friday. Shows at London's Wembley Stadium and Edinburgh's Murrayfield follow, before Oasis head to Dublin and on to North America. Staff to stars OASIS have hired Justin Bieber's bodyguard and Madonna's chef for their reunion tour. A source said of East London hard man and security expert Ian Norrington: 'He's one of the best in the security business and looked after Justin for years. 'Oasis know the tour's going to be frenzied so there's no one better. At the height of his fame, Justin's fans were wild and the crowds around him were huge. 'Ian's an old hand and is the perfect fit.' He is on board for the global 41-date sold out run. Another insider said of chef Darren Staats: 'He knows exactly what the band want to eat on tour. It's got to be healthy and nutritious — as well giving them plenty of energy to get through the gigs. 'Darren's previously worked for Madonna and Tori Amos. 'There's focus on clean foods, as well as rustling up some of their favourite grub as a treat.'

Danny Dyer and Louis Tomlinson among famous faces at Oasis' Cardiff comeback
Friday, July 4, 2025, will go down as one of the biggest nights in British music history as Oasis graced a live stage for the first time in 16 years. The Mancunian Britpop heroes formed in Burnage in the early 1990s and quickly became—for better or worse—the defining band of their generation. But singer-songwriter brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher had a famously frosty relationship, and the band shockingly split when Noel quit in August 2009. After waging a cold war in the press for more than a decade, the two siblings kissed and made up in 2024 and announced a string of live dates for summer 2025. The Oasis Live 25 Tour kicked off in Cardiff on Friday night, with the 75,000 tickets sold at the Principality Stadium among the hottest in the world right now. But it's not just regular folks who've descended on the Welsh capital for a bit of the action—half a dozen famous faces have been spotted in the crowd as well. 📝| 'Louis is a huge Oasis fan and has been extremely open about failing to secure tickets in the queue. He's said to have found himself on tonight's guestlist, which promises to be one of the most exciting concerts in music history.'— The Mirror can reveal that the cheeky… — World Tomlinson (@LouisWT91World) July 4, 2025 The first to pop up was This Is England actress Vicky McClure, who joined the BBC's live coverage of the build-up to the Oasis gig and then went to grab a spot in the crowd. From the BBC itself, Radio 2 host Vernon Kay popped along, despite being called a 'lanky b*****d' by Liam Gallagher himself during a tense meeting between the two years ago. And MailOnline photographers spotted Gavin & Stacey star Rob Brydon in the crowd, with the Welsh actor not having to go too far from home to see his musical heroes. But stealing the headlines were none other than actor Danny Dyer, who was spotted in Cardiff earlier on Friday, and former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson. Danny opted for dark sunglasses and a moustache to keep his identity a secret, but fans still managed to spot him walking along a road near the stadium. He was seen wearing a smart casual navy blue jacket as he walked alongside a friend (or bodyguard), with hundreds of onlookers none the wiser. And reports in The Mirror earlier today speculated that Walls hitmaker and Oasis superfan Louis had managed to secure himself a spot on the guest list. Louis had apparently tried and failed, along with thousands of others, to get his hands on those prized tickets earlier last year when they went on sale. He said at the time: 'I didn't [get tickets]. I was in the queue, but I never got a number. I did try. I did try. I have my fingers crossed.' Fellow musician Serge Pizzorno—of the Leicester-based rock band Kasabian—was also apparently spotted by reports, with Kasabian owing a lot to the Manchester band. Everton FC's manager, Sean Dyche, also sat on the BBC's sofa outside the Principality Stadium before taking his place among the thousands witnessing history. And it seems he set a bit of a trend, as fellow Premier League boss Nuno Espirito Santo, in charge at Nottingham Forest, was also rumoured by The Sun to be in attendance on Friday. At the gig, Oasis rolled back the years by playing some of their biggest hits, with some fans in Cardiff reckoning Liam sounded 'biblical' and better than ever. @ShaneRyanOneil exclaimed: 'Liam hasn't sounded this good in years. Biblical,' while @Jahvasconcelos said: 'Liam's voice sounds absolutely BIBLICAL. Unbeliveable.' More Trending The two brothers held hands as they walked onto the stage in Cardiff, with their gesture being greeted by huge cheers from the over 70,000-strong crowd. Bang on 8:15pm, Noel and Liam launched into their tune Hello, which opened their second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory? all those years ago. After this, they went into Acquiesce – which originally appeared as the B-side to Oasis' first number-one single Some Might Say, in 1995. The words 'This is not a drill' appeared on the screen in giant letters, with the crowd—decked out in Mancunian bucket hats, sunglasses, and Oasis merch—sending cups flying by jumping in the air.
