Yahoo18-06-2025
A Shawano man was indicted on a federal charge of using a minor child to produce child pornography.
Here's what to know about the case.
Brandon Boogren, 29, of Shawano.
Boogren is charged in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin with one count of producing child pornography.
According to a criminal complaint:
On June 3, the Milwaukee and Green Bay offices of the FBI received a lead from the FBI in Houston about a WhatsApp conversation involving Boogren. The conversation, which occurred on May 16, 2019, involved discussion about Boogren making pornographic videos of a minor. Later in the day, Boogren sent four videos which depicted sexually explicit conduct between him and a girl who was 1½-years-old at the time.
In an interview with FBI and police, Boogren admitted that one time in 2019 there was sexually explicit contact between him and the girl in the videos.
Boogren is scheduled to appear in court in Green Bay June 24 for a preliminary examination, according to court records. If he is convicted, Boogren faces a mandatory 15 years in prison and up to 30 years in prison, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.

Trump says Obama should be top target in DOJ probe into intel report

President Trump on Tuesday said that former President Obama should be targeted directly by the Department of Justice after his administration's report alleged Obama administration officials manipulated intelligence related to Russian interference in the 2016 election. Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard has sent criminal referrals to the DOJ related to the report released on Friday that asserted the Obama officials engaged in a 'treasonous conspiracy.' When asked in the Oval Office on Tuesday, during a visit with Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., about whom the DOJ should target, Trump pointed to Obama. 'Based on what I read, and I read pretty much what you read, it would be President Obama. He started it,' Trump said. 'And [then-vice president Joe] Biden was there with him and [former FBI director James] Comey was there and [former DNI director James] Clapper, the whole group was there. [Former CIA director John] Brennan. They were all there in a room, right here, this was the room.' He added, 'If you look at those papers, they have him stone-cold and it was President Obama. It wasn't lots of people all over the place, it was them, too. But the leader of the gang was President Obama, Barack Hussein Obama, have you heard of him?' 'He's guilty, it's not a question,' Trump said. 'This was treason, this was every word you can think of.' He added that Gabbard told him that thousands of additional documents would be coming, and he called Obama the 'ringleader.' Friday's memo also cited former officials like Clapper, Brennan and Comey and comes after Trump has for years claimed the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether his campaign colluded with Moscow was a 'hoax.' Trump in March signed a memo ordering the declassification of 'all files related to Crossfire Hurricane,' the name given to the FBI's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. The president on Tuesday also was questioned about Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche reaching out to lawyers of Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted sex offender and associate of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, to set up a meeting with her. He said he didn't know anything about it but brought up Gabbard's report. 'The witch hunt that you should be talking about if they caught President Obama absolutely cold, Tulsi Gabbard. What they did to this country in 2016, starting in 2016 but going up all the way going up to 2020 and the election, they tried to rig the election and they got caught and they should be very severe consequences for that,' Trump said. Trump also said when he 'caught' former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton but he 'let her off the hook' because she was a wife of a former president. 'It's time to go after people. Obama's been caught directly,' he said. 'What they did in 2016 and in 2020 is very criminal, it's criminal at the highest level so that's really the things you should be talking about.' Former FBI agent found guilty of rape, luring victims to Maryland tattoo shop

A former FBI agent convicted of rape faces up to 122 years in prison, according to the Montgomery County State's Attorney Office. Eduardo Valdivia was found guilty on six counts of second-degree rape and two counts of fourth-degree sex offense, after sexually assaulting three young women at his Gaithersburg tattoo shops. Valdivia, 41, of Gaithersburg, was arrested in November 2024 after the first victim told police in October that she was raped by someone she knew as "Lalo Brown." At the time of his arrest, Valdivia had been a supervisory special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for over a decade. He owned a tattoo studio, DC Fine Line Tattoos, in the 9800 block of Washingtonian Boulevard in Gaithersburg. In November 2024, a second victim came forward with a similar report of sexual assault, according to police. Both women, in their early 20s, reported they were lured to the tattoo studio under the pretense of modeling opportunities with Exeter Models. Following news of his arrest, a third victim came forward and disclosed that she had been raped by Valdivia in October 2022 at a tattoo studio in the 12000 block of Travilah Road in Potomac. She said was 18 years old at the time. Valdivia communicated with the victims under aliases including "Lalo Brown" and "L. Boogie," luring them to the tattoo studios under the pretense of free tattoos and modeling opportunities, according to prosecutors. He also used the alias "Dr. Tiffany Kim," pretending to be a female psychologist and the CEO, president, and producer of a profitable and well-connected modeling agency in email communications with two of the victims, the State's Attorney's Office said. Valdivia faces a maximum sentence of 122 years in prison. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 14, 2025.
