Kaavia James Surprised Her Parents at Kindergarten Graduation With the Sweetest Revelation
As a parent, my kids are constantly surprising me. From talking about death on the way to summer camp —'you know the first day of your life, but not the last,' my 7-year-old wisely shared — to the sweet way they dance at weddings, parenting is always an adventure. Recently, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade experienced that when their 6-year-old daughter Kaavia surprised them at her kindergarten graduation, and they caught the amazing moment on camera!
The Bring It On alum shared a video of Kaavia walking down the aisle at her kindergarten graduation. 'I swear this was not rehearsed,' Union wrote over the video on TikTok. Kaavia looked adorable as she strutted down the sidewalk barefoot in shorts, with a yellow cap and matching stole. She walks over the grass and stands on a little podium on the grass in her backyard as the crowd cheers.

'Let's find out what her future plans are, shall we?' someone asked Kaavia, bringing a microphone over to her. 'Kaavia, what would you like to be when you grow up?'
Kaavia leans in and replies, 'I would like to be an actor' as the whole crowd cheers. She then pops a hip and blows a kiss to the crowd, showing off that Shady Baby side that we all know and love. She is truly a queen, and we love how she surprised her mom by saying she wanted to follow in her footsteps one day!
In the caption, Union wrote, 'caught Kaav in 4k, but trust me, I can't make this up.'
The Riff Raff star also shared several photos of her little girl to mark her big milestone graduation. 'From brave beginnings to big milestones, Kaav, you've learned, grown, and blazed your way through kindergarten,' Union wrote on Instagram. 'Next up: 1st grade — and a whole new world of discoveries!'
In the photos, Kaavia looks adorable in a blue graduation cap and gown with a colorful rainbow stole as she poses sweetly for photos at home, then walks hand in hand with her parents. At the end was a photo of Kaavia snuggled up in her Barbie bed as her parents read her a book. So sweet!
'The journey is just beginning, and we're seated right beside for the ride,' Union added in the caption.

Jana Kramer has accepted jobs that challenge her "moral compass". The 41-year-old star has to pay child support cheques to ex-husband Mike Caussin, and Jana admits that financial pressures have influenced some of her career decisions. Jana - who has Jolie, nine, and Jace, six, with Mike, as well as Roman, 19 months, with current husband Allan Russell - told Fox News Digital: "There's definitely some things, some ads that I'm like, 'Oh, I wish I could have gone back and maybe not done that ad,' but you know, you learn and you go back and you go, 'All right, I'm not gonna do that one again,' you know? "So sometimes when you gotta pay that child support cheque, it's just like, 'Well, this is a good cheque money. I'm gonna take this.'" This week the New York Yankees announced that the bobblehead giveaway for its Seinfeld Night promotion on Aug. 21 for its game against the Boston Red Sox will be one of George Costanza sleeping under his desk. The unique giveaway, which Seinfeld fans will surely agree is perhaps the greatest bobblehead ever created, is a reference to an episode from season eight of the show titled 'The Nap.' In the episode, George, then working for the Yankees as assistant to the traveling secretary, commissioned a carpenter working for Jerry to build a custom sleep nook under his desk at Yankee Stadium. He was then caught under there by then Yankees owner George Steinbrenner's grandson. The bobblehead will only be given to the first 18,000 fans who enter the stadium that night, but pre-sales of the item have already been purchased on eBay for up to $250 while tickets to the game are still available for as little as $53.
