GRI Enrichment Program Kicks Off at KACST to Nurture Gifted Students
Organized by KACST through Academy 32, in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the program aims to foster a culture of research, development, and innovation among gifted students by introducing them to the fundamentals and importance of scientific research.
It connects participants with leading research centers and specialists, enhances their skills through practical training, and encourages them to contribute to enriching local content in the fields of science and innovation, SPA reported.
During the opening ceremony, Academy 32 CEO Dr. Amani Al-Shawi highlighted the program's role in nurturing emerging talent and preparing students for participation in local, regional, and international competitions. She pointed to recent achievements, including the success of Saudi students at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025) and their winning of over 12 gold and silver medals at the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2025) in Malaysia.
Al-Shawi urged participants to take full advantage of the research infrastructure available at the National Laboratory and the Innovation Oasis at KACST, stressing the importance of continuous learning, development, and scientific exploration to support national goals in research and innovation.

Saudi Culture Ministry, China-Arab Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Research Center Sign Executive Program
The Saudi Ministry of Culture and the China-Arab Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Research Center signed on Sunday an executive program, further strengthening collaboration between the Kingdom and China in the cultural field. The executive program, taking place in parallel with the 2025 Saudi-Chinese Cultural Year, reinforces joint efforts in cultural areas. The executive program was signed by Deputy Minister for Research and Cultural Heritage Affairs Dr. Maha Abdullah Alsenan and Vice President of Beijing International Studies University and member of the Joint Committee of the China-Arab Research Center for Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Cheng Wei at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture in Diriyah. Under the executive program, the two sides will jointly carry out research projects to boost the quality of cultural research submitted and collaborate to identify and compile cultural content related to each country held in national archives. In addition, the Ministry of Culture will collaborate with the China to hold joint conferences and support mutual visits and exchanges between cultural researchers from both countries to discuss common cultural issues. The program includes support for research exchange operations, facilitating visits by Saudi researchers to Chinese universities and research centers, as well as by Chinese researchers to Saudi universities and research centers. It provides both sides with specialists in cultural fields, offers support in the research fellowship program, and provides consultative support. This executive program comes within the context of the Ministry of Culture's commitment to promoting international cultural exchange as one of the objectives of the National Culture Strategy under Saudi Vision 2030 and as an extension of the activities of the 2025 Saudi-Chinese Cultural Year, which aims to consolidate the close relations between Saudi Arabia and China in various development fields.

Saudi students honored for international success
RIYADH: Students from Tuwaiq Academy enjoyed outstanding success at the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition in Malaysia, where they won 12 gold medals and 16 special awards. Alrebdi bin Fahd Al-Rebdi, director of the Saudi Data and AI Authority's National Data Management Office, said the students' performance reflected their creativity and global competitiveness. He praised them for positively representing the Kingdom, adding the achievement stemmed from ongoing investment in human capital, the Saudi Press Agency reported. A ceremony honoring the students included a visual presentation on their participation and an exhibition highlighting their projects. Two winners also gave talks about their journeys, challenges and lessons learned. Meanwhile, the Generation Research and Innovation Enrichment Program was recently launched at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, bringing together more than 90 gifted students from across Saudi Arabia. Organized by King Abdulaziz City through Academy 32, in partnership with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, the program aims to introduce students to the basics of scientific research and promote innovation. It connects participants with research centers and experts, offers practical training and encourages contributions to local scientific content. Academy 32 CEO Amani Al-Shawi said the program helped develop young talent and prepare them for competition, citing recent successes by Saudi students including at the International Science and Engineering Fair and in Malaysia.
