Parkin announced smart parking innovations and EV plans at the UITP Summit 2025, reinforcing its role in digital mobility and sustainability.
Parkin Company PJSC ('Parkin'), the largest provider of paid public parking facilities in Dubai, announced the successful conclusion of its participation in the 2025 UITP Summit. The global public transport event was held in Hamburg, Germany.
This marks Parkin's first participation in an international conference. The company reported that the event served as a strategic milestone in expanding its global presence and demonstrating its role in urban mobility and smart parking transformation.
Representing the UAE alongside Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Parkin revealed its latest smart parking technology and operational systems. The company also shared plans to integrate electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure into its network. Live demonstrations of the Parkin mobile app were provided during the summit.
Parkin manages over 207,000 paid public parking spaces in Dubai. At the summit, the company exhibited its digital platforms and presented next-generation AI-powered smart parking enforcement system prototypes. These systems are designed to be integrated into lighting poles and traffic signage, aligning with Dubai's visual identity and sustainability goals.
Parkin also played a role in shaping the summit's agenda. Earlier in 2025, the company signed a strategic partnership with UITP to establish the Global Parking Transformation Working Group. The working group was officially launched at the event and chaired by Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin.
During the inaugural meeting, Al Ali led discussions with global industry leaders from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. Topics included the role of smart parking in sustainable, integrated mobility, the adoption of AI systems, and frameworks for measuring impact. Parkin displayed AI-powered smart parking systems

Al Ali commented that reshaping mobility for greener and safer cities requires rethinking parking infrastructure. He noted Parkin's aim to support cities through smart parking platforms and informed decision-making.
The summit concluded with the announcement that Dubai will host the next UITP edition in 2026. This positions both Dubai and Parkin as key contributors to the future of urban mobility and smart parking solutions.

Abu Dhabi starts new service for sale, purchase of residential grants

In collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Community Development Department, the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre have unveiled details of a new service for the sale and purchase of residential grants. This initiative, part of the 'Barakatuna' (Our Blessing) programme, aims to bring parents and their caregiver sons and daughters closer, fostering stronger family ties and social cohesion. Wafa Mohammed Al Ali, Director of the Family Development Department at FDF, explained that applications can be submitted through 'TAMM' platform using digital ID. After submitting the request and receiving a confirmation notification, applicants must schedule a home visit by the foundation, which is followed by a notification confirming the appointment for a social case study. Once the specialised team completes the home study, a notification is issued via the platform, confirming the applicant's eligibility. Al Ali noted that FDF is the authorised entity to verify that the applicants are primary caregivers for their parents. However, this verification is not a mandatory condition for approving residential grant sale and purchase requests. She added that the application review process takes approximately 30 working days, emphasising the importance of the seller notifying the buyer to approve the preliminary acceptance notice issued by 'TAMM' platform. This approval is essential for transferring the application to FDF to complete the social study.
