How Bannon's alleged 'Epstein tapes' could be made public
Bannon reportedly recorded more than 15 hours of video, Wolff revealed, even as he disputed that he was acting as a media coach for Epstein and instead working on a documentary. Wolff said he obtained transcripts of the Bannon interviews of Epstein for his book, 'Too Famous: The Rich, the Powerful, the Wishful, the Notorious, the Damned.' Now Wolff is sharing further details of the transcripts and the tapes, which he says were recorded in Epstein's massive Manhattan townhouse.
'There's no question the tapes were media training,' he told The Hollywood Reporter. 'And there's no possible way Epstein would have signed off on them being used in a documentary.' The tapes could someday be released as part of an Epstein documentary that Bannon says he is working on. In March, Bannon told comedian Jimmy Dore on his show that he was working on a 'multi-part' documentary series for Netflix or some other video platform.
'The working title is 'The Monster,'' Bannon said, teasing that it would be 'pretty shocking about how this guy came from nowhere to the absolute highest level of the global elite.' 'It's a project I'm working on with my filmmaking team,' he said. Bannon said the enterprise was work in progress and that it would focus on the Epstein's mysterious case. 'I don't think there was any doubt he was taken out, I think he was murdered or executed however you want to say, I have no belief that he killed himself,' Bannon said. Wolff said that Bannon and Epstein frequently spoke and exchanged emails and spent time together in New York City at his apartment.
For years now, the internet has buzzed about the existence of the Epstein tapes in Bannon's possession and what it could reveal about his motivations prior to his July 2019 arrest and subsequent prosecution. Political strategist Roger Stone has repeatedly called for Bannon to release the tapes. 'Steve has evidently done a documentary about him. I'd like to see that documentary,' Stone said in an interview with Benny Johnson of The Benny Show. 'Steve should release that audio and video immediately.' If Congress gets involved, they could potentially release a subpoena to force Bannon to release the tapes.
Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna also encouraged Bannon to release the footage. 'I'd be very interested in seeing that footage and I think the American people would be too,' she said at a Turning Point USA summit of conservative activists in July. Wolff speculated that Bannon might not have the rights to the footage, which is why it had not been released.
Bannon did not respond to a Daily Mail request for comment, but continues pressing the truth about the Epstein files, blaming Attorney General Pam Bondi for messing up the administration's handling of the case. Bannon has also warned that the Republican party would pay dearly politically if they did not release the truth about Epstein.
'For this to go away, you're going to lose 10 percent of the MAGA movement. If we lose 10 percent of the MAGA movement right now, we're going to lose 40 seats in (the midterms), we're going to lose the presidency,' he told activists gathered at the Turning Point USA summit. The future of Bannon's documentary remains unclear as the level of interest surrounding Epstein has reached fever-pitch after the Justice Department released a memo stating there was no record of a 'client list' in the Epstein files and no evidence of foul play in Epstein's death.
In 2021, Bannon teased a section of the interview where Epstein says he is a supporter of the Time's Up movement, where women campaigned against sexual harassment. 'I made my living from old thinking. But the future is for the way women think,' he told Bannon.

President Donald Trump has insisted he is hearing 'great reviews' for his makeover of the White House Rose Garden, which has seen its famous manicured lawn paved over to make way for a stone patio. The garden was first opened in 1913, was planted up with roses by then-first lady Jackie Kennedy in the early 1960s and has hosted receptions for visiting dignitaries for decades, also serving as a venue for annual ceremonies like the Thanksgiving turkey pardon and occasional policy announcements, most recently Trump's swiftly-reversed 'Liberation Day' tariff unveiling in April. The redesign leaves its signature rose bushes pushed to the periphery to accommodate a design much closer to the president's Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida. The cost of the 'upgrade' has not been released although it is known that the work was paid for by the Trust for the National Mall, a nonpartisan nonprofit that has raised $75m in private funding for D.C. restoration projects since 2007. The president has enjoyed imposing his idiosyncratic taste on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue since returning to office and last week announced the construction of a new $200m ballroom. He has already had the Oval Office redecorated, wasting no time in switching the pictures, busts and ornaments around and introducing as much gold as possible. Why Musk's $29bn Tesla payout is a blessing in disguise
It is commonly believed that Elon Musk owns the Tesla car company. He doesn't. First, Musk only owns about 16 per cent of the company's shares – even with the approximately $29bn additional share allocation he's just received – so he is actually a minority shareholder. Second, Tesla isn't strictly a car company, even though it obviously makes them. It is principally a tech company, and its valuation and business model is radically different, and based on its lead on autonomous or self-driving transportation. Only recently Tesla boasted that a customer in Austin, Texas had their Model Y delivered to them directly from the assembly line, with the car driving itself for the half-hour trip. Tesla is built on self-driving technology, and that, in turn, is predicated on the continuing genius of Elon Reeve Musk. So that explains a lot about this headline-grabbing story about his '$29bn pay packet'. Such an outrageous package was proposed for and by Musk some years ago but, in the objections of some shareholders, a court ruled it out. It actually amounted to some $50bn in 2018, but times change and it seems Musk and his company has been devalued by his more recent adventures in Magaland. In any case, a more ingenious method of turning capital into income was devised so that the richest person in the world could be just that little bit more loaded. Before the share deal, he was worth around $400bn, so he's going to be a bit less than 10 per cent better off once the new shares have been sorted out. Enough to rub along. This story, then, tells us a few things about Musk and Tesla. It certainly seems to be a further signal that he is moving away from politics and back to business. The Doge episode and the association with Donald Trump didn't serve him or his business interests well. Contrary to hopes/fears that having him hanging around the Oval Office and Mar-a-Lago as 'First Buddy' would lead to some lucrative government contracts, now Trump is threatening to cut him off – especially bad news for SpaceX. Musk has also gone a bit quiet about the 'America Party' he has been planning to block Trump's ruinous budget by winning key seats in Congress in elections next year. Maybe Musk will press on with that, but it seems less likely he'll do much more than provide lavish funding. It's just as well. The Doge project, for all the hype, is over, and it may have done more harm than good to the wellbeing of the American people and, undeniably, the wider world in destroying the US international aid agency. The ill-advised salutes, the nutty tweets (as some of us still insist on calling them), and all the whooping about at the Trump rallies made Musk look more idiotic than evil, and were a grievous distraction. Wednesday season 2 is just around the corner but Jenna Ortega fans still have time to binge some of her other biggest hits. Wednesday season 2 airs on Netflix on August 6, with the first four episodes dropping after a three-year wait. Jenna Ortega returns in the title role, as Wednesday Addams is faced with the tragic prospect of her best friend Enid Sinclair's (played by Emma Myers) death. Ortega, who also worked as a producer on the show, opened up about her anxieties during the making of the series. Still, the critically acclaimed actress appears to shine in whatever she appears in, from fantasy thrillers to heartwarming family movies. Here are just a few films and shows fans of the actress can watch ahead of the release of Wednesday season two. Death of a Unicorn Death of a Unicorn was released in March 2025 and the dark fantasy thriller stars Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega as a father and his daughter who accidentally kill a unicorn. After Elliot Kintner (Rudd) hits the unicorn with his car, the pair are hunted down by its parents. Viewers called it a "masterpiece", with Shivas Pillai saying on Google Reviews: "Wow! Yes Day Yes Day was released in 2021 and the family film is based on the children's book of the same name by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld. Critics praised the acting, particularly that of Ortega, who played Katerina 'Katie' Torres. At the 2021 Imagen Awards, Ortega was nominated for Best Actress in a Feature Film. The film follows a married couple and their three children, and how things turn wild when the couple allow their children to do anything they want, within reason. Joanne Olivia Bennett took to Google Reviews to call the film a "fantastic escape from reality". She expanded: "At last a movie I could sit down and watch with my kids without having to spend most of the evening on my from view. This is a fun movie for adults and kids with a hearty story that most of us parents can associate with. Jennifer Garner shows how great an actress she is by effortlessly switching from anxious parent, to nostalgic memories for her past." The film is available to watch on Netflix. You In 2019, Ortega landed a large role in the second season of You, starring alongside Penn Badgley. She played Ellie Alves, the teenage sister of a woman Joe Goldberg rents an apartment from after leaving New York. Speaking with Business Insider, You season five showrunners Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo admitted they were keen for Ortega to return for the show's final season. However, due to her commitments to Wednesday season two, she was unable to make an appearance. Foley had said: "That was complicated by the fact that she's doing Wednesday in Ireland and it just seemed like a non-starter. We just couldn't figure out a way to make it work." You is available to watch on Netflix. The Babysitter: Killer Queen The Babysitter: Killer Queen is a horror comedy film released in 2020, which acts as a sequel to the 2017 film The Babysitter. Ortega plays Phoebe, who happened to have the same babysitter as Cole (Judah Lewis), the protagonist from the first film. Lerb gave it a five-star review on Google Reviews, saying: "Absolutely incredible. One of the best (if not the best) movies, sequels, and conclusion to any story ever ever made. The trailer didn't let off too much, which is good. The kills were incredible, this is definetly one of the best horror movies ever made." The film is available to watch on Netflix. Scream VI Scream VI was released in 2023 and Ortega's role of Tara Carpenter was expanded for the sequel film. This role followed on from her success in the first season of Wednesday, with the movie noticing a sharp increase in box office earnings. Christopher Fuller praised the young star on Google Reviews, sharing: "What an amazing movie this was, all of the actors and actresses did an amazing job including Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega who are just stunning and amazing as the two main characters in the movie. "There were plenty of scary chase scenes and plenty of gory scenes too in the movie which is good because what's a horror movie without gore right?" The film is available to watch on Netflix. Wednesday season 2 premieres on Netflix on August 6, with part 2 airing on September 3.
