Families of Israeli captives in Gaza demand Dermer's resignation from negotiation team

Saba Yemen27-05-2025

Occupied Quds – Saba:
On Tuesday evening, the Israeli captive families' association demanded that Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer resign from his position as head of the negotiation team, accusing him of failing to secure a deal for the release of their loved ones nearly 100 days after his appointment.
According to Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, Dermer is viewed as a close ally of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom the opposition and captive families accuse of prolonging the war to appease the far-right faction of his government, prioritizing his personal political interests—particularly remaining in power.
In a letter sent to Dermer and posted on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, the captive families' association stated: "When you were appointed, we were promised you would lead a real breakthrough."
They added: "But not only has not a single captive been released, it now seems you are leading efforts to undermine any potential deal that could bring all the captives home and end the war."
The letter continued: "It is only right that you take responsibility and do what is necessary—hand over the keys, return the mandate given to you, and make way for someone who can achieve the victory that includes the return of all 58 captives."
The Zionist regime estimates that 58 Israeli captives remain in Gaza, 20 of whom are believed to be alive, while over 10,100 Palestinian prisoners endure torture, starvation, and medical neglect in Israeli jails, leading to the deaths of dozens, according to Palestinian and Zionist human rights reports.
The families further stated: "This is a complete failure. A hundred days of utter failure. A hundred days of the collapse of negotiation strategy under your leadership."
They emphasized: "We need a dedicated negotiation team leader who prioritizes the captives above all else, not someone who acts based on other considerations."

Zionist settlers storm Al-Auja Spring Gathering North of Jericho

Occupied Quds – Saba: A group of Zionist settlers, under the protection of Zionist enemy forces, stormed the Al-Auja Spring gathering north of Jericho on Saturday evening. Meanwhile, another group set up tents on land in Beit Umr, north of Hebron. The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) quoted Hassan Malihat, the general supervisor of the Bedouin Defense Organization (Al-Baidar), as saying: "Zionist settlers stormed the gathering and grazed their livestock among the houses of Palestinian citizens." He explained that this assault is part of a systematic policy by the Zionist enemy forces and settlers targeting Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley. In a related incident, Zionist settlers pursued a vehicle carrying animal feed in the Arab Malihat gathering northwest of Jericho on Saturday evening and threatened its owner. Malihat stated that the settlers chased the vehicle as it entered the gathering, blocked its path in an attempt to stop it, and issued threats to the driver. He added that such behavior is part of a series of provocative actions carried out by settlers against the residents of Bedouin communities in an attempt to impose a new reality on the ground. Settlers Set Up Tents in Beit Umr Under Occupation Forces' Protection Meanwhile, under the protection of Zionist enemy forces, settlers set up tents on land in the Uqbat Al-Sabarna area of Beit Umr, north of Hebron, on Saturday. Mohammed Awad, a media activist in Beit Umr, reported that armed settlers from the "Karmei Tzur" settlement—built on Palestinian-owned land south of Beit Umr—erected tents on a 28-dunam plot belonging to citizen Sami Abdul Hameed Bahr, planted with almond and grape trees. Awad noted that the land has two water wells used for irrigation, adding that the settlers filled one with stones and prevented the owner from accessing his property. Occupation Forces Seize Vehicles in Southern Hebron In another incident, anti-settlement activist Osama Mkhamreh reported that Zionist enemy forces confiscated a truck from Khallet Al-Dabaa in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, owned by a resident of Idhna town. He pointed out that over the past days and weeks, the Zionist enemy has seized three vehicles en route to Khallet Al-Dabaa under the pretext that the area is a military zone and a live-fire zone. Iranian Ambassador to Russia: We will continue our peaceful nuclear program

Tehran – Saba: The Iranian Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, affirmed on Saturday that Iran will continue its peaceful nuclear program. In an interview with "Russia 24" channel, Jalali stated: "We do not seek to possess a nuclear bomb, but we cannot deprive our future generations of peaceful nuclear technology. Nuclear knowledge cannot be bombed away." He added: "We were deceived after reaching an agreement with the Americans to continue negotiations. Talks were supposed to take place in Muscat on Sunday (two days after the Israeli aggression began). Unfortunately, Israel attacked us in the early hours of Friday. This aggression shows that the United States and Israel were coordinating and executing this plan." Jalali continued: "However, the Iranian armed forces and our people were fully prepared to defend themselves, as we had already been threatened by the Zionist entity. This regime has been threatening us for the past year." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Al-Qassam Brigades release footage of clashes with zionist enemy forces east of Jabalia Camp

Gaza – SABA: Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), released footage on Saturday showing their fighters engaging in point-blank clashes with a Zionist enemy force east of Jabalia camp during the third Battle of Jabalia. The footage, documenting the operation carried out on December 23, 2024, showed the Zionist enemy evacuating dead and wounded soldiers from a downed helicopter.
