Google Pixel 10 Pro, Pro XL specs leak ahead of launch: Tensor G5, 16GB RAM, bigger battery tipped

Minta day ago
As anticipation builds for Google's next flagship smartphone launch, new leaks have shed light on what consumers can expect from the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. While the official unveiling date remains under wraps, the latest reports suggest an August debut could be on the cards.
According to information shared byAndroid Headlines, the Pixel 10 Pro series will likely bring incremental hardware improvements over the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL. The most notable upgrade appears to be the inclusion of Google's in-house Tensor G5 chipset, which is expected to be paired with up to 16GB of RAM. Storage configurations could vary, with the Pixel 10 Pro reportedly launching in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants, while the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL may start at 256GB.
Both phones are likely to sport LTPO OLED displays with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The Pixel 10 Pro is rumoured to feature a 6.3-inch screen, whereas the Pro XL could house a more expansive 6.8-inch display. Durability is expected to remain a priority, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 reportedly protecting both the front and back of the devices.
In terms of photography, Google seems to be sticking to its tried-and-tested formula. The rear camera setup is said to mirror that of the previous generation, comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto unit offering 5x optical zoom. Both the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras are rumoured to support macro photography. On the front, users may find an upgraded 42MP selfie camera.
Battery life could also see modest improvements. The Pixel 10 Pro is tipped to include a 4,870mAh battery, slightly larger than its predecessor's 4,700mAh unit. It may also benefit from a larger vapour chamber for improved thermal management. Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is expected to come with a 5,200mAh battery, potentially making it the largest battery ever fitted to a Pixel phone.
Charging speeds are also anticipated to increase. The Pixel 10 Pro is believed to support 29W wired charging, while the XL variant could offer up to 39W. Both handsets are said to support 15W wireless charging.

Last-minute Samsung leak almost confirms Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is coming on July 9

Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event is just around the corner, scheduled for July 9 in New York, and the company is widely expected to unveil its next generation of foldable phones. While leaks about the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 have been making rounds for weeks, the possibility of a third device — a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE — now seems more real than ever, thanks to a last-minute online of the official unveiling, a leak caught the attention of tech watchers. Spigen, a well-known smartphone case manufacturer, appears to have accidentally listed cases for both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE on its website. Although the listings were quickly taken down and didn't reveal images or full product details, they were already picked up by Google's search crawlers. As a result, the product names remain visible in search results, practically suggesting that Samsung plans to launch not just the regular Flip model but also a Fan Edition variant of the clamshell leak, while unintentional, matches up with earlier reports and speculation suggesting Samsung might be ready to expand its foldable portfolio by introducing a relatively affordable Flip device. Over the past few weeks, renders and specifications have hinted at a dual strategy, keeping the Galaxy Z Flip 7 as the premium option while offering the Flip 7 FE as a trimmed-down version for a wider audience. Though Samsung hasn't officially confirmed these devices, this leak from Spigen has added credibility to ongoing According to leaks, the standard Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to continue Samsung's flagship legacy. It could come equipped with high-end hardware and a redesigned edge-to-edge cover screen that rivals Motorola's recent Razr lineup. However, what might surprise some users is the possibility of Samsung switching to its own Exynos processor instead of using Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips, which have traditionally powered the company's foldables in the past. This would be a notable move and may influence user expectations around performance and battery the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is likely to take on competitors like the Moto Razr 2025 and Nubia Flip by offering a more affordable price tag. It is rumoured to feature an outer display similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and be powered by the Exynos 2400e chipset, a toned-down version of the Exynos 2400 that has been used in some Galaxy S24 variants. The idea appears to be making foldables more accessible without compromising too much on the user though the leaked case listings didn't offer any visual confirmation, they do confirm the names and hint strongly at the devices being real. This isn't the first time accessory manufacturers have accidentally confirmed unreleased products, but it does suggest that Samsung's product announcements are now locked in and ready for the big attention also remains on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is expected to arrive with several design upgrades including a thinner profile, possibly better cameras, and a return to the punch-hole selfie camera on the inner display. With so many leaks surfacing ahead of the event, Samsung's July 9 keynote may not hold many surprises, but the official details will still be worth tuning in for — especially with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE now almost confirmed to be part of the launch lineup.- Ends

New Google Messages update lets Android users edit messages sent to iPhones

In a welcome update for Android users, Google has started testing a new feature that lets people edit messages even after sending them to iPhone users. Until now, this ability was only possible in conversations between Android devices. Thanks to updates in the RCS standard, editing across platforms is finally becoming possible. The new editing feature is based on the Universal Profile 3.0 standard. This update improves how Android phones and iPhones exchange messages using RCS, or Rich Communication Services. With it, users can long-press a sent message and tap a pencil icon to change the content. The original message will appear in the typing field, where edits can be made and then resent. There is a 15-minute window to make these changes. This brings Android closer to iMessage-like features, but there are still some differences. On the Android side, the edited message replaces the original one. On the iPhone, however, the new version appears as a separate message and is often marked with an asterisk. This may cause some confusion, especially in fast-paced conversations. Currently, the feature is only being tested with a small group of beta users. Google is likely collecting feedback before rolling it out to everyone. There is no word yet on when a wider launch might happen. Also, iPhone users still do not have the option to edit RCS messages they send to Android users. Apple may need to update its Messages app to support this functionality fully. Despite these early hiccups, the feature marks an important step forward for cross-platform communication. Along with other RCS improvements like typing indicators, high-quality images, and read receipts, message editing brings more flexibility and ease to users. This update helps make Android texting feel more modern and user-friendly, even in mixed-device conversations. Whether you are correcting a typo or rephrasing your message, having the ability to edit gives you better control of your chats.
