Dunelm slashes 'great quality' £80 table that 'looks more expensive' to £20
Shoppers can bag a whopping 75% off a highly rated bedside table from Dunelm. The retailer's clearance sale offers the "stylish" piece at a significantly reduced price. The Elements Griffin Compact Bedside Table, touted as "an ideal choice for smaller spaces," has dropped in price from £79 to £19.75.
Designed 'from durable metal', Dunelm says 'this bedside table features a contemporary design that effortlessly complements various decor styles.' The product description states: "It includes one drawer and one shelf, providing ample storage space for your nighttime essentials.
"The drawer offers a discreet spot to keep personal items out of sight, while the open shelf is perfect for books, magazines, or decorative items. The compact size of this bedside table makes it an ideal choice for smaller spaces, ensuring that even the cosiest bedrooms can benefit from its stylish functionality."
The bedside table is currently offered in black or classic blue, with both options available to shop online. Dunelm says the table measures 56.5cm x 45.5cm x 39.5cm, it is 100% metal, and the legs need to be fitted. For those looking for bedroom furniture, there are plenty of alternatives to browse, reports the Mirror.
For example, Argos offers a Tvilum Madrid 2 Drawer Bedside Table - Oak for £80, which is recommended by 88% of reviewers. Next offers an Actona Black Oak Seaford Metal Bedside Table for £63. While it has no reviews, the retailer says it is 'a sleek addition' to your home that 'combines functionality with modern aesthetics.'
Meanwhile, Dusk offers a Nell 2 Drawer Bedside Table - Cream that's on sale from £79 to £62. There are five different colours to choose from, though only certain colours are reduced in price.
Despite this, shoppers might prefer Dunelm's Elements Griffin Compact Bedside Table, which earned an average score of 4.8 out of five from reviewers.
One impressed reviewer thought: "Perfect!!! Great quality bedside tables!! lovely retro design and just what I was looking for." A second agreed: "Lovely bedside unit. Solid piece. Lovely colour. Ready assembled apart from legs so in use straight away."
However, not everyone was so impressed. A shopper with mixed feedback wrote: "Excellent colour, good design. Fab colour, good looking bedside table. Heavy and sturdy and good value. The drawer is a little stiff to close."
Someone else claimed: "Love it, looks gorgeous and very functional. All I would say is I had to have it delivered (x3 times, shout out to customer service), but the QA on this is bad.
"I broke 2 of those spanners they gave because they aren't strong enough to do the job, and the screws were too small for the item and didn't go on. It is also a bit flimsier than I would have wanted."
Another reviewer who struggled with assembly added: "Beautiful tables - hard to assemble legs though. The screws underneath the table were painted in the same colour orange as the actual table which meant screwing on the bolts were difficult, luckily we were able to make it work after a while."
One fan said: "Sold attractive bedside table. Easy to assemble by one person." Another shared: "Great quality, quite heavy and very sturdy. Looks more expensive than it was. Great design love the shelf."

It'll even slip into pockets whilst connected, reports the Mirror. Looking at alternatives, like the new Mophie Powerstation Plus which is £79.95 it is a lot cheaper, however in comparison to this higher-end model the LISEN gadget can only charge one phone at a time. "Absolutely brilliant, light weight, easy to use, battery life is great, magnet is really strong, fabulous value for money, would definitely recommend," said one Amazon customer. While another said: "Great for keeping my phone charged all day." Users have also shared how it works by connecting to the back of an iPhone, as one person highlighted: "Great design and quality. "Thinner than I had expected. The magnet is strong enough to hold it in place so very functional and recharges very quickly. Highly recommend this." One gripe some customers found, however, was that in some instances this power bank causes the phone to heat up quite a bit when charging. One customer wrote: "Taking a star away as I can't use the phone while it's on much as it gets very hot." The brand has addressed this by suggesting that if this happens, move the phone to a cooler spot, or give it a break from charging for a few minutes. Boasting a 4.6 star rating, the fragrance has won over numerous customers, with one person raving: "I've bought this for a few years now and although it is a bit embarrassing to say you're wearing a Britney Spears perfume at 34 years old, it smells so good on me and I always get complimented which is also nice obviously! I can even smell late into the night and the next morning. I always buy when on offer. Do it!". Another customer simply commented: "Such a lovely smelling perfume, not too overpowering, just perfect. "I've always loved this scent by Britney Spears. The original fantasy perfume. Please don't ever discontinue this one. It's sweet but not overly sweet and not overpowering. Last hours and it's super affordable too and the bottle it's cute," remarked a third. Whilst most people enjoyed the fragrance, one person found it slightly too subtle for their liking, commenting: "As soon as you spray it's a very weak smell... so I sprayed even more, you cannot even smell after one minute!" However, for the most part, people have praised its staying power, with many saying it endures for hours. "I bought this perfume about five years ago and never looked back. Good price (especially on sale) and every time I wear it people ask 'what is your perfume your wearing' and I would have put it on two or three hours before," one person said, echoing the praise for its longevity.
