Weekend fatal fire at Cambridge motel deemed to be accidental
Emergency crews were called to the motel on Hespeler Road around 9:45 a.m. for reports of a fire in a room. The motel was cleared and Cambridge firefighters put out the blaze.
A 53-year-old man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the cause of the fire has been deemed accidental.
The investigation is ongoing with the Ontario Fire Marshal.
