Nutella launches new flavour for first time in 60 years but there's a catch
Next Spring will be extra sweet thanks to Nutella 's brand new flavour for the first time in 60 years. It looks delicious, but there's a catch: it will only be available in the US.
Who doesn't love chocolate? Nutella is the go-to chocolate spread for many of us, and it can be enjoyed in so many ways. Fancy a sandwich, a waffle or some freshly cut strawberries?
And despite its huge popularity, the brand has never dropped a new flavour - until now. For the first time in six decades, Nutella will finally have another flavour, and it's peanut.
In a press release, Ferrero announced: 'It combines the distinctive creaminess of Nutella Cocoa hazelnut spread with the delicious taste of roasted peanuts.'
Available from Spring 2026, this iconic flavour will only be available for grabs in North America. There hasn't been any more information as to where to buy it, and its price, but US fans are in for a treat!
Michel Lindsey, President and Chief Business of Ferrero North America, added: 'Developing Nutella and Ferrero Rocher products specifically for the North American market represents a defining moment in our company's history.'
Beyond the vegan alternatives that have released recently, the new flavour will be its first since its 1964 launch. He added: 'These innovations will engage both loyal and new consumers, boosting our power brands and further solidifying our position as a category leader in North America.'
A Plant-Based Nutella was launched in the UK in May 2025, with shoppers being able to get their hands on the 350g jar for £4 at Sainsbury's. Its flavour is the same as the original, keeping its famous hazelnut and cocoa flavour but with chickpeas and rice syrup.
In another statement, Mathieu Maggi, marketing director of Nutella UK&I, Ferrero, explained: 'We developed this innovation to provide a delicious new choice that delivers the unmistakable Nutella experience in a plant-based version, replacing milk with vegetal ingredients without compromising on quality and taste.'
The push to make a vegan version was due to the wave of plant-based dieters. Ferrero's research showed that 4.7% of UK adults, which is approximately 2.5 million people, follow a vegan diet.
UK Nutella fans won't be able to get their hands on the new Peanut flavour - for now. Still, keep your eyes peeled for future announcements to avoid missing out on the latest Nutella and Ferrero news. In the meantime, why not try something new?

North American Airlines targeted by cyberattacks
At least two North American airlines have been victims of criminal hackers recently as cybersecurity companies warn that a notorious cybercriminal group has been targeting the aviation industry. Westjet and Hawaii airlines both said in June statements that they are responding to cyberattacks. American Airlines also experienced a tech issue on Friday, though it's unclear if it was related or caused in any way by hackers. 'A technology issue is affecting connectivity for some of our systems and we are working with our partners to fully resolve the issue,' an American Airlines spokesperson said in a statement. 'Though we are experiencing delays as a result, we have not canceled any flights at this time.' Cybersecurity companies that work directly with companies hit by hackers usually refrain from talking about specific victims, citing nondisclosure agreements. But both Google and Palo Alto Networks said Friday that they have observed a particularly effective cybercriminal group, nicknamed Scattered Spider by the cybersecurity industry, that tries to hack companies involved in aviation. Scattered Spider is a loosely affiliated group of young, mostly English-speaking men who are extremely adept at sweet-talking their way into sensitive computer access at large companies. From there, they often hand that access to outside cybercriminals who install ransomware — malicious software that locks up computers, rendering them inoperable — and then demand an extortion payment. The group has been tied to attacks on Las Vegas casinos in 2023 and British department stores earlier this year. After Google warned that Scattered Spider was targeting American retailers, a cyberattack hobbled a top Whole Foods supplier, leading to empty shelves across the country. Charles Carmakal, the chief technology officer of Mandiant, Google's cloud security company, said in an emailed statement that it was tracking 'multiple incidents in the airline and transportation sector' where Scattered Spider had broken in. 'We are still working on attribution and analysis, but given the habit of this actor to focus on a single sector we suggest that the industry take steps immediately to harden systems,' he said. Details on the effects of the attacks on airlines are still sparse. A WestJet spokesperson told NBC News in an email that the company first noticed it had been hacked on June 13 and has made 'significant progress' to resolve it. Hawaiian Airlines said in a Friday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it discovered on Monday that it had been hacked and that 'Flights are currently operating safely and as scheduled.'

All the New Look stores shut so far after huge closing down sales and ones still to close
NEW LOOK will close two more stores in a matter of weeks after making cuts to it's store estate. The British high street staple is set to close a branch in Hamilton, Scotland on Tuesday, July 1. The news was shared on social media with upset locals describing the move as the "end of an era". While another shopper cried: "Aw I'm gutted to see it go! Spent a good 10 years in there over the years." A New Look spokesperson said: 'Our store in Hamilton is set close on July 1. We would like to thank all of our colleagues and the local community for their support over the years. "We hope customers continue to shop with us online at where our full product ranges can be found.' The popular fashion retailer is also set to close down a branch in Neath, Wales on August 6. One punter blamed online shopping for the closure, claiming it has "killed the high street". While another resident said they "couldn't believe it". New Look has previously warned it would shut nearly 100 stores ahead of National Insurance hikes which came into place in April. Approximately a quarter of the retailer's 364 stores are at risk when their leases expire. The brand already closed a site in Birmingham on June 8 and another store in Devizes, Wiltshire closed a few weeks back. You can check out the full list of New Look closures here: Beloved high street chain with 24 Irish locations confirms Dublin city centre store closing down in 10 days in huge blow New Look, Neath, Wales – closing August 6 New Look, Hamilton, Scotland – closing July 1 New Look, Birmingham, Northfield shopping centre – closed June 8 New Look, Willow Place, Corby – closed June 1 New Look, Valley Retail World in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear – closed March 9 St Austell branch in Cornwall – closed March 4 New Look, Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales – closed February 22 New Look, Wickford, Essex – closed January 24 New Look, Devizes, Wiltshire – closed In February, New Look also exited the Republic of Ireland which resulted in the closure of 26 stores. At the time, the company said: "New Look's Irish operation has struggled for some years, impacted by a range of factors including supply-chain and in-market costs, and squeezed consumer spending". MORE RETAIL TROUBLE New Look is not the only fashion brand facing a hard time. River Island revealed plans to shut 33 of its 230 stores, pending approval. A further 70 stores are also at risk, with its future depending on agreements being reached with landlords to cut rent agreements. Elsehwere, Claire's is mulling a sale of the business leaving question marks over the future of nearly 300 stores in the UK. The potential sale is understood to include stores across North American and Europe. Claire's has 2,000 stores in total across both regions, with 281 stores in the UK. RETAIL PAIN IN 2025 The British Retail Consortium has predicted that the Treasury's hike to employer NICs will cost the retail sector £2.3billion. Research by the British Chambers of Commerce shows that more than half of companies plan to raise prices by early April. A survey of more than 4,800 firms found that 55% expect prices to increase in the next three months, up from 39% in a similar poll conducted in the latter half of 2024. Three-quarters of companies cited the cost of employing people as their primary financial pressure. The Centre for Retail Research (CRR) has also warned that around 17,350 retail sites are expected to shut down this year. It comes on the back of a tough 2024 when 13,000 shops closed their doors for good, already a 28% increase on the previous year. Professor Joshua Bamfield, director of the CRR said: "The results for 2024 show that although the outcomes for store closures overall were not as poor as in either 2020 or 2022, they are still disconcerting, with worse set to come in 2025." Professor Bamfield has also warned of a bleak outlook for 2025, predicting that as many as 202,000 jobs could be lost in the sector. "By increasing both the costs of running stores and the costs on each consumer's household it is highly likely that we will see retail job losses eclipse the height of the pandemic in 2020."
