What will Season 6 Show?
Director Dallas Jenkins confirmed that Season 6 will cover a single day. The 24 hours before the crucifixion of Jesus will form the story. Jenkins explained in an interview that most scenes take place at night. This requires filming during overnight hours.

The release plan for Season 6 and Season 7 will be different. According to a joint statement from Amazon MGM Studios and 5&2 Studio, the Season 6 finale and the Season 7 premiere will be released as feature films.
The Season 6 finale will debut in theaters on March 12, 2027. The Season 7 premiere will be released in theaters on March 31, 2028.
Other Season 6 episodes are expected to premiere in late 2026. Jenkins confirmed this during an April livestream. He assured fans that official release dates will be shared once confirmed.
When will Season 6 Stream on Prime Video?
After the theatrical release of the Season 6 finale in 2027, the full season will be available to stream on Prime Video. The same pattern will follow for Season 7. The episodes will stream after the theatrical release of the premiere. All five previous seasons of The Chosen are currently available on Prime Video.
