The star, whose track is available on Spotify, has teamed up with Samsung Health to encourage the nation to become more morning people, with AI-powered sleep tracking and personalised energy scores available on its Galaxy Watch & Ring series.
Jamie said: 'If you can beat the morning, you can win the day.
'That's why I love what Samsung Health is doing – helping people understand the body and the mind, and tech can empower you to live your best day.'
The track follows research which found 30 per cent of Brits hit snooze on a weekday morning two or more times.
Meanwhile, 24 per cent feel groggy most mornings when they wake up.
Four in 10 (42 per cent) believe tiredness is holding them back from becoming their best self, while 51 per cent say they'd be more inclined to try new things if they had a restful night's sleep.
A third have blamed snapping at someone on lack of sleep, and 23 per cent believe not getting enough shut eye has made them crave junk food.
Whereas 17 per cent have cancelled a workout due to tiredness, and 21 per cent have made a mistake at work after a bad night's sleep.
In fact, 41 per cent have even nodded off in the workplace because they were so exhausted.
The research found the top sleep disruptors include temperature (35 per cent), overthinking conversations (32 per cent), and discomfort (28 per cent).
Other common culprits include work stress (24 per cent), worrying about loved ones (22 per cent), and scrolling on social media (14 per cent).
Annika Bizon from Samsung, which has announced new health features to help consumers set up habits, improve sleep, heart health, fitness and nutrition as part of the upcoming One UI 8 Watch, said: 'Sleep is the foundation to our approach to health, as it influences physical and mental wellbeing, yet our research reveals that many of us aren't getting enough.
'That's why we are taking action, providing innovative tools to help people understand and improve their sleep.
'By offering insights, coaching, and inspiration like the Morning People track, we are empowering better starts and helping the nation seize the day.'

While over a third (37%) are unaffected by soaring temperatures, the vast majority (63%) admit their sleep is disrupted during hot weather, according to fresh data from sleep tech company Simba. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Over half of British adults (56%) sleep six hours or less in the summer, compared to just 39% in winter. The average Brit revealed they sleep 6 hours and 7 minutes per night in summer, less than the seven to nine hours recommended by the NHS. The study of 2,017 UK adults reveals UK adults miss out on an average of over two full days of sleep in the summer due to difficulty when temperatures soar. A quarter (25%) have even had to take days off as a result of not getting enough rest and feeling too tired, with two-thirds (66%) admitting to being less productive as a result of not having enough shut eye. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad To make up for lost sleep, over a third (40%) of adults confess to drinking more coffee and energy drinks than usual to hide their tiredness while 33% per cent turn to sugary sweets. Many have devised strategies to outsmart the sweltering conditions. 29% of respondents ditch their pyjamas in an effort to cool down, while 36% percent opt for a topsy-turvy approach by sleeping on top of their duvet. Lisa Artis, Deputy CEO of Simba's charity partner, The Sleep Charity, said. "While the UK isn't typically associated with blistering summers, we've witnessed an increase in sweltering temperatures and heatwaves in recent years. Consequently, many struggle to sleep at night due to the discomfort of excessive heat.' "In contrast to other nations where household air conditioning is commonplace, many Brits experience tossing and turning, unable to find comfort, and waking up frequently throughout the night." Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'This restlessness prevents REM sleep, which is a crucial stage within our sleep cycle that allows our body to revitalise and heal itself.' "It's no surprise that 66% feel less productive at work and 25% have taken days off due to fatigue. Sleep is the ultimate health boost we can get, so it's important to prioritise our sleep and uncover personalised sleep hacks that suit us during the summer months." When it comes to lights out, nearly a quarter (22%) of couples find themselves retreating to separate beds in a bid to catch some cooler Zs. Furthermore, the most common squabbles among overheated partners include whether to have the duvet on or off (18%), excessive fidgeting (20%), and disputes over how long to keep a fan on (16%). 9 expert sleep hacks on how to sleep during summer heat from Lisa Artis, Deputy CEO of Simba's charity partner, The Sleep Charity. Get the room temperature right Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Creating the ideal sleep environment involves managing the room temperature effectively, which can be trickier during the warmer months. Aim for around 16-17°C for the best sleep quality. Ways to help keep your room cooler, involve closing curtains or blinds during the day to block sunlight and opening windows at night to let in cool air. Window screens are useful here, to keep insects out. Furthermore, it's a good idea to turn off all electronics in your room before bedtime to avoid unnecessary heat buildup. Sleep positions: starfish or sleep on your side Spreading out as much as you can - like a starfish - can help to circulate air around your body better and encourage heat to escape, as you sleep. The other position you could try is sleeping on your side. One of the most common areas on our bodies that feels the heat at night is the bottom of our backs, so side-sleeping is going to allow more heat to disperse. A warm shower… yes, warm It might seem counterintuitive, but rather than having a cold shower before bed, take a warm shower before you put on your pyjamas and get ready for bed. The warm water makes our body heat up, and then, when we get out of the shower, a rapid drop in temperature cools our body down. Choose cool comfort: opt for a lightweight duvet Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Consider a lightweight duvet instead of omitting bedding altogether. Recent findings from Simba reveal that 36% of individuals prefer to sleep on top of their duvet or even remove it entirely in an attempt to stay cool. However, using the right duvet can actually provide a refreshing solution. Try a thinner duvet with a lower tog, like Simba's Summer Hybrid Duvet. This duvet incorporates Stratos® 'cool-touch' technology for optimal breathability and heat regulation. Additionally, its 100% cotton outer layer makes it a must-have for summer bedding, in fact, any bedding or night wear that's 100% cotton is ideal to help keep you cool. Refresh with a cooling mist Spritz bedsheets with a concoction of water and peppermint essential oil for a cooling sensation and invigorating aroma. Restrict food & alcohol intake Eating too close to going to sleep raises your body temperature, making it tougher to drop off. Aim to leave at least two hours between your last meal. Restrict alcohol intake, too, as alcohol interferes with the body's ability to regulate temperature, leading to increased feelings of warmth. This can exacerbate discomfort in already hot conditions, making it harder to fall asleep or stay asleep. Cool treats for the feet Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Cooling anything near our feet can effectively cool down our entire body. Consider chilling a pair of socks in the fridge a couple of hours before bedtime for an extra cooling sensation. Plus, you can fill and freeze a hot water bottle and place it at the foot of your bed to lower the temperature. Enhance your comfort, minimise movement If you still find yourself tossing and turning despite trying various remedies, consider bedding specially engineered to keep you cool. If you're comfortable, you'll move around less. Look for mattresses or accessories with thermo-regulating properties, such as Simba's Summer Hybrid duvet or Performance Bed Linen. Simba's Hybrid mattresses meanwhile also feature their Simbatex® foam, which supports better airflow. Simba's Stratos® technology offers an ingenious solution. It not only provides an instant cool touch but also efficiently draws away excess heat, acting like a bed thermostat to maintain optimal comfort. For those on a budget, Simba's cooling Stratos® pillow and Performance bed linen also feature this innovative technology. Maintain a cool mindset Exposing your head to cooler air can be enough to regulate your body temperature. Drape a cool, damp cloth over the forehead or neck for instant relief or freeze a sock filled with rice and place it under your pillow for a refreshing chill.

Holidaymakers urged to pack small item in case as Brit catches Legionnaires' disease abroad

The potentially fatal lung infection is spread through infected water droplets, particularly in warm locations Holidaymakers heading abroad this summer are being urged to pack one thing into their suitcases as a Brit was struck down by Legionnaires' disease. Donna Jobling, 57, from Hull, was in intensive care from June 11 after contracting potentially deadly lung disease. Doctors had to put her into an induced coma and she awoke on June 25, reported the BBC. The disease is caught by inhaling droplets of water that contain Legionella bacteria. ‌ The Brit was on an all-inclusive break in Crete when she became unwell. While it's not known if the legionella source was the hotel, it is reportedly cooperating with local health authorities, while the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has issued an emergency alert in response to the confirmed case. ‌ And Brits are being warned of the serious - and often overlooked - risk of Legionnaires' disease this summer, particularly in warm locations. Legionella grows best in water between the temperatures of 20 to 45C. The bacteria can be found in a wide range of man-made water systems, including taps, showers, air conditioning units, pools and hot tubs. And while it can exist throughout the entire year, the heat in summer months mean it's a particularly high-risk period, especially when combined with stagnant water in systems that have not been used regularly - such as hot tubs, spa pools, and holiday homes. Legionella authority Hydrohawk said the latest case is sadly not isolated. Greg Rankin, CEO, said: "There have been multiple reports of Legionella outbreaks in hotels abroad and on cruise ships in recent years. "The tragic part is, many of these could have been prevented with earlier detection, faster diagnosis, and prompt action. Of course, the responsibility lies with hotel and resort operators to maintain proper water management and testing protocols. ‌ "However, we would urge British travellers to exercise caution when using holiday accommodation – particularly to countries where water safety legislation may not be as robust as it is in the UK." Symptoms of Legionnaires' disease Early symptoms of Legionnaires' disease, which may show from two to six days after infection, include: ‌ Muscle aches Tiredness Headaches Dry cough Fever HydroHawk recommends packing a small item that will allow you to carry out a quick, simple test. Greg added: "For added peace of mind, a simple rapid Legionella testing kit can offer reassurance and help ensure a safer stay.' ‌ HydroHawk offers rapid Legionella testing kits that deliver accurate results within just 25 minutes. Greg adds: 'Going on holiday should be a time to relax and enjoy, not worry about hidden health risks. Though it may not be the first thing that springs to mind when it comes to packing for the summer getaway, taking simple precautions against Legionella by investing in a rapid testing kit could make all the difference. "After all, everyone deserves peace of mind on their long awaited summer break.' You can purchase a HydroHawk Legionella Swab Test for £25.99, here.

As an audio expert here's 4 things I would change if I had access to your Spotify account

Spotify trades some of its music quality for availability, but these settings could help. Hi-fi music streaming expert Steve Helliker has these tips to get the most from your Spotify account. Audio expert Steve Helliker from Ultimate Stream shares insights into Spotify's playback settings that can help millions get more from their streaming service. Spotify is the most used streaming service in the world, with over 350 million users worldwide. The platform is highly accessible and offers an immense music catalogue for people to explore. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad However, Spotify trades off some of its music quality for this availability, with rivals such as Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, and Apple Music offering a wider range of listening options with varying levels of quality. Steve Helliker, hi-fi music streaming expert and founding director of Ultimate Stream, shares his advice on getting the most out of your Spotify subscription: 'Most people simply press play on their preferred music when using streaming services, but there are a number of playback settings you may not know about that can vastly improve your listening experience.' Equaliser settings The equaliser allows you to adjust the audio frequencies of your music. Spotify provides 5-6 adjustable nodes that alter playback. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Increasing deeper frequencies while reducing higher ones emphasises the bass, making it ideal for hip-hop and electronic music, whereas the opposite is better suited to classical music. To access the equaliser, go to Settings and Privacy > Playback > Equaliser. You can manually adjust all the nodes or choose from a range of preset options to best suit your listening preferences. Preset equaliser settings include: Pop R&B Rock Acoustic Bass Boosted Vocal Booster Audio quality You can also adjust the quality level of your music, with four settings ranging from Low to High (plus a fifth setting, Very High, available to Spotify Premium subscribers). This allows you to control playback quality when using the app and can be set separately for Wi-Fi and mobile streaming. One thing to be aware of is that listening in High or Very High quality while on mobile data will use more data, so be mindful of your usage when changing this setting. Mono audio Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Disabling mono audio creates a more spatial sound and allows you to hear the music as the artist intended. This is particularly important for tracks where certain sounds are designed to play across different headphones. While some may not always enjoy this experience, real audiophiles will likely want to hear songs in their original format. This setting is often automatically turned off, but this may not be the case for every user, so it's important to check your settings. Loud/Normal/Quiet You can also choose a volume level in the Playback settings, selecting between Loud, Normal, and Quiet. These settings allow you to adapt your listening experience to your environment: Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Loud – Ideal for parties Normal – Best for everyday listening Quiet – Perfect for relaxed listening or enjoying finer details in music Spotify's settings warn of a loss of audio quality when selecting Loud, but Normal and Quiet do not affect audio quality. While Normal is recommended for most users, switching between Quiet and Loud in the right situations can enhance your listening experience. Steve Helliker is a streaming and hi-fi expert with nearly a decade of experience at Ultimate Stream, supporting clients in maximising their home streaming experience.
