‘Amazing' concealer that Sephora shoppers say ‘lives up to the hype'

There's no makeup lover out there who doesn't love a 10/10 concealer, but it can sometimes be hard to find one which ticks all of the right boxes.
So if you're on the lookout for the perfect summer concealer to add to your essential makeup collection, then the TARTE Shape Tape Contour Concealer could be the ultimate solution. It's currently £29 at Sephora and shoppers have been raving about it.
The full coverage, best-selling, beauty buy promises 16 hours of flawless wear, and smooths and brightens to make eyes appear 'lifted', according to the retailer, and it also comes in a crease-proof formula which won't cake or settle. For money-saving tips, sign up to our Money newsletter here.
Other options on the market currently are the £21.60 NARS Cosmetics Radiant Creamy Concealer at Lookfantastic right now, or at a slightly cheaper prices there's also the Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer for £19 at Lookfantastic.
Alternatively, you could also buy the Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer for £23.25.
One happy Sephora shopper said of the Tarte product: ' Amazing concealer and works great, no creases and can use without makeup to cover dark circles.'
Someone else entitled their review: 'Holy grail concealer', writing: 'Shape Tape lives up to the hype!
'It covers dark circles, blemishes, and redness with ease, and blends like a dream.
'The finish is smooth and long-lasting without creasing. A little goes a long way - definitely worth every penny!'
It wasn't for everyone, as with all products there was the occasional review which says there is room for improvement.
One person noted: 'Not as good as I thought it would be. The product is clearly visible on skin.'
Yet another buyer added: 'I've tried a few concealers but always come back to reordering this as it doesn't crease and it's buildable for preferred coverage so I can adjust my look depending on what I want that day.
'Stays well with setting powder. Absolutely love it, all MUAs I have booked always use this too.'

Sephora shoppers queue overnight for 12 hours as new store opens in the Manchester Arndale

Hundreds of people queued up for the opening of a Sephora in Manchester this morning - with one couple sleeping overnight to be the first to experience the new beauty store. At the very front of the line was make-up fan Frances, 19, who was accompanied by Shiv, 20. They had been camping in the Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre since 8:50pm last night. The pair, from Barnsley, West Yorkshire, had had no sleep between them, running on one red bull and a few coffees. They only left the queue to go to the toilet in Walkabout bar. Frances, who works as a teaching assistant said: 'I missed the Trafford Centre opening because I was working, so I was so annoyed. But I knew I wanted to make this one.' The UK's tenth Sephora follows on from the brand's first Greater Manchester store, which opened inside the Trafford Centre last year. Kait Turnbull brought her 10-year-old daughter Ruby who she called 'beauty obsessed'. They woke up at 5am to arrive at 5:45am and even got stuck in the Arndale car park. The mother said: 'We got in and then because it's so early and the shops aren't open yet the lifts wouldn't work and we were stuck.' Ruby has previously visited the Trafford Centre Sephora store as well as the one in London. She said she is most looking forward to trying the new Sol de Janeiro fragrance - Sundays in Rio - and anything Tower 28. Kait joked: 'I'm just the chauffeur and the credit card.' The Sephora fan said she was most looking forward to securing a Charlotte Tilbury Contour Stick, but that she wanted to browse the whole store and didn't know what she might end up with. By 9am, there were 400 people in the queue which snaked across the ground floor of the Arndale shopping centre, and by 10am there were more than 500. Michelle Kirkbride, from Doncaster, brought her daughter Jessica to the Sephora opening since they missed the store opening at Meadowhall - which would have been more local to them. This will be the first Sephora store they have visited in the UK, with Jessica adding: 'I want to look at everything.' Jessica and Michelle have visited Sephora a few times in the US, including in New York and Florida, but they are excited to have one that's more local and to be able to attend the opening day. Throughout the morning, staff members handed out little samples and goodies to the committed beauty lovers, including makeup, skincare, Sephora-branded bucket hands, and giant fingers. During the Trafford Centre store opening in May 2024, people waited in the queue all night to be the first through the doors to secure one of the goodie bags, which were set out for the first 800 shoppers. For the Arndale opening, Sephora changed its approach, and customers were told the traditional 'first in line' model would be replaced with a new Sephora 'Beauty Bonus Card' mechanic, which would give more shoppers the chance to win. Throughout the opening weekend, every customer who makes a purchase will receive a Beauty Bonus Card which will give shoppers the opportunity to win one of eight incredible prizes on the spot, including a Sephora goodie bag, a mystery lucky dip, free 30-minute makeup services plus more prizes. The new store has taken over 4,618 square feet on the lower ground of the Arndale next to other beauty giant, Superdrug. The unit used to be home to the H&M-owned fashion retailer, Monki, which shuttered back in January after occupying the space for almost seven years.

Save £10 on ‘fantastic' eye lift cream that makes skin ‘tighter and less baggy'

If you're in the market for a new eye cream then shoppers highly recommend this one, which targets bags, saggy skin and signs of fatigue – and it's currently on sale Eye cream can be an excellent addition to your skincare routine if you find that this area of the face has additional needs (signs of ageing, sensitivity, dryness, etc). An effective new eye cream has just launched, which claims to deliver a visible eye lift effect in 30 seconds, as well as minimising line, puffiness and dark circles – and here's where you can save over 15% on it right now. Tried-and-trusted beauty brand Clarins has recently reformulated its Total Eye Lift to be even more effective at targeting signs of ageing around the eyes. Containing a powerful blend of plant extracts, Clarins says that it gives a 'visible eye lift effect in 30 seconds, visibly reduces and smooths wrinkles, and visibly reduces puffiness and dark circles'. In tests, skin was smoothed in three hours, while wrinkles were visibly reduced in 30 days. Clarins Total Eye Lift usually costs £63 for a 15ml bottle at retailers including Boots and Sephora, but you'll currently find it cheapest at Sephora at £52.95, saving you over £10. Across various websites shoppers have been quick to praise this new formulation and the results it delivers: "I have been using this product for about 6 months now and I am amazed by the difference when applying eye make-up," one person wrote on the Clarins website. "I used to get lines in my eye shadow due to looser skin, and applying eyeliner was a nightmare due to wrinkles, but this product has made a huge difference with those struggles. I highly recommend." "Fantastic product," a Boots shopper called it. "I have tried a few eye creams and was nervous about investing in a more pricey product, however this is 100% worth it. Immediately noticed a visible improvement in puffiness, under eye bags, and brightness. With consistent use, my eye bags are almost gone and even fine lines seem to be reduced! So impressed with this eye cream and will definitely continue to use. A small amount goes a long way." Another review on Clarins' own site titled ' Eyes seem tighter and less baggy ' goes on to read: "I received this as a sample and loved it! I've gone back and reordered it twice now!" Not everyone was totally sold though, with one person writing, "Yes it's a great product, absolutely love it, however the refill design is terrible. I've accidentally managed to remove the bottle out of the pump and been struggling for the past few days to out it back in." If you've looking for an eye cream recommendation that's a little cheaper, REN Clean Skincare Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream is one of my all-time favourites, and currently still available to buy from Holland & Barrett for £34.30 (down from £49), despite the brand closing down at the end of July. And for sensitive skin that just needs a little extra moisture, La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermallergo Eye Cream, now £16.80 (was £21), is a great safe bet.

‘I had a first look inside Sephora's newest UK store and here's what I'll be buying'

Sephora's tenth UK store opens to the public today in Manchester's Arndale shopping centre. I had a look inside ahead of opening, and these are the products I'll go back to buy Beauty fans – and especially those that live in the northwest of England – will be excited to hear that there are now even more places to try and buy their favourite products from in real life, as beauty giant Sephora has just opened its tenth UK store. Following on from the success of the Trafford Centre shop, Manchester now has a second Sephora store, as another opened its doors in the city centre's Arndale shopping centre at 10am today. This makes it easier than ever to try before you buy trending brands that you'd perhaps previously only been able to buy online, such as Merit, Glossier and Makeup by Mario. I was lucky enough to get a look around the Manchester Arndale Sephora store yesterday ahead of its opening and, despite being a beauty editor with a cupboard full of products, there was so much in store that genuinely excited me, either because it was a brand I'd never heard of before or was one I'd been desperate to try. Here's what I'll be going back and adding to my basket, either online or IRL... Clomana Beauty Marshmallow Sponge Shape 2 £10 here I'd never heard of this brand before, but it was displayed right by the door in the Manchester store and my attention was immediately grabbed by these cute little meringue-shaped make-up sponges, packaged up to look like luxurious sweet treats. Latex-free, this chubby sponge expands to three times its size when wet, and helps to perfectly blend your face base. I'll be trying this when my current go-to Beautyblender needs replacing. Haus Labs by Lady Gaga Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation £42 here Haus Labs isn't a new brand to me – I've already reviewed its super-lengthening mascara and balmy highlighter stick – but I've yet to try the brand's foundation, a favourite with Molly-Mae Hague, and so here's the chance to find my perfect shade (I reckon I'm 100 Light Neutral). When swatching it in store, I was impressed by how weightless it felt on the skin, and the 'middle ground' type of finish it gave – not too matte, not too dewy – which reminded me a little of the cult classic Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Merit Beauty The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick £34 here Again, a product that there has been much hype about, but one I'd never tried – and I could immediately see why it's so popular. It's so creamy and blends beautifully, allowing you to add as much or as little coverage as you like, exactly where it's needed. I was surprised to find that I was a lighter shade that I had anticipated – Ceramic, the lightest one – so it's worth bearing in mind if shopping for it online that the colours are a little deeper than you might think. If it's glow rather than coverage you're after from your stick foundation, Charlotte Tilbury's Unreal Skin Foundation Stick, £35, certainly delivers that – in my full review I say how it basically made me look 10 years younger. Sephora Collection Bubble Bath & Shower Gel Currently £7.59 here (usual price £7.99) These unusual-shaped giant, round bottles stopped my in my tracks – and then once I sniffed them, I was totally converted. These cute bubble bath/shower gel formulas from Sephora's own brand come in five different scents and make a lovely treat that won't break the bank. Coconut and Monoi get my vote.
