The drama surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has made its way to reality TV, spilling over into the world of The Real Housewives of London.
In a newly released trailer for Hayu's upcoming reality series, Panthea Parker teases a potential showdown with none other than King Charles III himself. As she and her husband, Lawyer Ed Parker, head to a royal event, Panthea, 50, boldly hints at asking the king about the ongoing rift with Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43. 'I'm going to go up to the king,' she declared in the clip. 'I'm going to go, 'How do you feel about Harry and what he did?''
But Ed wasn't so sure that's the best approach at a Buckingham Palace garden party. 'It says, specifically, 'Do not ask the monarch about Harry and Meghan,'' he responded to his wife, referencing a booklet he was holding referring to the 76-year-old Monarch's request.
The Royal Family has been embroiled in tension since Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in 2020, particularly over the couple's security after they moved to California. Things remained strained, even after Harry's BBC interview earlier this year, where he expressed a desire for reconciliation. "There's no point in continuing to fight anymore, life is precious," the Duke of Sussex declared to the outlet.
Alongside Panthea, the ladies of London — including Juliet Angus, Amanda Cronin, and Karen Loderick-Peace — are set for a thrilling season of drama, with appearances from The Real Housewives of Dubai's Caroline Stanbury and The Real Housewives of New York City's Dorinda Medley.
Fans of the beloved U.S. versions of the show were quick to comment on the trailer after it was shared to YouTube on Tuesday, July 15.'Oh this is going to give the other RHs a run for their moneyyyyy,' one fan quipped.Another declared, 'This might be the best thing to happen in 2025 so far.'Not everyone thought the new show looked appealing, however.'The trailer is rubbish. Well, at least not in the way fans had hoped. The actor, 44, who played brooding fan-favorite Tim Riggins in the NBC drama from 2006 to 2011, confirmed this week that he won't return for the upcoming FNL revival series currently in development at Peacock. 'I was asked to do it,' Kitsch told The Wrap on August 4 at the premiere of The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. 'Yeah, I'm not going back. No.' That statement only confirmed the comments he made earlier this year during a SiriusXM interview, where he acknowledged he'd been approached about the project but said he didn't plan to reprise the role full time. He's not the only alumni in limbo. Connie Britton, who played Tami Taylor on the series, told Parade in March that the new show is "barely on" her radar. Still, for fans holding out hope to see Riggins down a cold one in Dillon, all may not be lost. 'I'll do a cameo,' Kitsch said in a separate interview with Access. 'I would do one. It's got to be out of control, though.' Asked how he imagines Riggins might be living these days, Kitsch didn't miss a beat: 'Probably having a cold one on the lake with a couple girls waiting for him in the cabin."
