The Pacers are the underdogs this season, who have been stunning the crowd with their performance in every game, and this one was yet another show of the same. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the clear top scorer of the night, but somehow, the Pacers managed to take the win on the first night.
Indiana Pacers managed an astonishing win at Game 1
During halftime, it felt like the Oklahoma City Thunders would be winning the game by a mile, having kept a clear scoring margin over their opponents in Q1 and Q2. But Q3 was the turning point of the game, as the
Indiana Pacers
started to gain momentum in their play.
They were the high scorers for the quarter, but the OKC Thunders were still leading, having scored more than the Pacers in the first half.
But finally, in Q4, the Pacers changed the game completely. While it was an anyone's game scenario, the Pacers managed to slip by the Thunders and managed the win by just one point. The Thunders lost 111-110, stunning the whole crowd, who had hoped for a home win for the team. The Pacers are currently on a 12-2 run, as the Finals kick off in a spectacular fashion.

Oklahoma City Thunders
fans are quite literally all over social media, showing their astonishment at the shocking turn of events. What was once thought to be an easy win for the team ended up being a wake-up call for the Thunders as well as the fans. The Pacers have managed to eliminate teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks so far during the Playoffs. And by the looks of it, the Thunders won't have it easy if they want to win the championship this season, even if they have been the favorites so far.

Shannon Sharpe believes Kareem Abdul Jabbar is the most undervalued player in NBA history

(Image Source - Getty Images) Shannon Sharpe recently made waves in the basketball scene with a daring statement: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the most undervalued player in NBA history. This remark was made during an episode of his Nightcap show, where Sharpe earnestly argued that Abdul-Jabbar's phenomenal career is often overlooked in the never-ending debate about who is the NBA's Greatest of All Time (GOAT). Kareem Abdul Jabbar gets overlooked again in GOAT talks Shannon Sharpe started with Bleacher Report revealing their Top 100 NBA Players list in July 2025. The rankings ignited a huge debate, especially since Kobe Bryant—often hailed as one of the greatest players of all time—was left out of the top 10. Fans and analysts, including Sharpe, were quick to highlight what they felt was disrespectful. However, while Sharpe agreed that Kobe deserved a better spot, he turned his attention to a more significant issue: the persistent oversight of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Shannon Sharpe DISAGREES with DWADE ranking Kobe Bryant Top 3 All-Time! | Nightcap During Nightcap, Sharpe not only stood up for Kobe—he also seized the opportunity to bring attention to Kareem, wondering why someone with such an incredible track record isn't part of the GOAT discussions alongside Michael Jordan and LeBron James . As noted by Basketball Network, it was clear that Sharpe was frustrated, 'Despite Kareem leading both Michael Jordan and LeBron James in several career achievements or statistical records, why isn't the seven-foot center given more significance as the NBA's GOAT?' LA Lakers got Marcus Smart. Now, this trade could give them competitive edge

NBA team rosters are usually hard to keep track of, but by the way the Los Angeles Lakers are going, it couldn't be more clear that the team intends to place Luka Doncic and LeBron James front and center in their plans. Recently, the team managed to sign on defensive specialist Marcus Smart with a little assistance from Doncic, as per The Athletic. This development further amplifies the crucial role Doncic has started to play in the Lakers' inner circle. Luka Doncic reportedly had a small part to play in LA Lakers signing Marcus Smart(AP) Interestingly, Caleb Hightower from The Sporting News has presented a fresh trade proposal that could help Smart reunite with his former Boston Celtics teammate and give the Lakers a significant competitive edge. Caleb Hightower's proposal As per Hightower's pitch, the Lakers could trade Maxi Kleber, Gabe Vincent, and a future second-round pick to the Celtics in exchange for Robert Williams III. "Williams' 2021-22 campaign with the Celtics was his most productive. The Texas A&M product averaged 10.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game on a Celtics squad that reached the NBA Finals, shooting 73.6% from the field. However, Williams, like Smart, parted ways with the Celtics after the 2022-23 season,' writes Hightower in support of his argument. With a notable shot-blocking ability in addition to rim-running and high field goal percentage, Williams's chemistry with Smart is a time-tested one and could prove to work well in favor of the Lakers. This would help them improve their interior presence behind DeAndre Ayton and provide a strong center. What's the drawback? Williams's repeated injuries and general health levels, however, are something that needs to be taken into account before arriving at a final decision. 'The former first-round pick has spent two consecutive injury-riddled campaigns with the Portland Trail Blazers following his departure from Boston, only appearing in 26 regular-season contests,' adds Hightower. For a team aiming to win a championship, such risks are not the end of the road but need to be taken into account well in advance. However, Hightower still argues that the benefits outweigh the cons of taking Williams in with Smart.

"Do You Think LJ Will Give Up This Season?" - NBA Analyst Comments on LeBron James Reported Interested in Potential Move to the Dallas Mavericks

LeBron James is an NBA legend (Image via Facebook / LeBron James) LeBron James has exercised his $52.6 million player option to remain with the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2025-26 season. However, a recent report has stirred speculation around his future, suggesting that the four-time NBA champion might still be entertaining the idea of joining the Dallas Mavericks. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, James has 'genuine curiosity' about potentially making the move to Dallas. While no formal trade talks are underway, the Mavericks remain an intriguing landing spot — both because of the familiar faces on the roster and the organization's recent moves to bolster its championship aspirations. Why Dallas Appeals to LeBron James At age 40, LeBron James remains one of the league's most impactful players. While his commitment to the Lakers for the upcoming season is solid on paper, Stein's report points to deeper emotional and relational ties that make Dallas an attractive alternative. Key Connections in Dallas: • Kyrie Irving – Former Cavaliers teammate with whom James won the 2016 title. • Anthony Davis – Recently traded to the Mavericks in a blockbuster deal. • Klay Thompson – Four-time Finals opponent, now part of the Mavericks. • Nico Harrison – Former Nike executive and now Mavericks GM; has a longstanding relationship with James. • Jason Kidd – Mavericks head coach and assistant during James' 2020 Lakers title run. • Frank Vogel – Former Lakers head coach, currently an assistant in Dallas. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Timbulharjo: Unsold Sofas Prices May Surprise You (Prices May Surprise You) Sofas | Search Ads Search Now Undo Stein writes, 'The Mavericks would seem to be uniquely suited to offer that with so many people in Dallas he already knows well.' Add to that the Mavericks' acquisition of 2025 No. 1 overall draft pick Cooper Flagg, and the team presents a compelling blend of youth and experience that could attract a veteran like James. Lakers Prioritize Luka Doncic in Shift The Lakers , for their part, appear to be building their future around Luka Doncic , who was acquired midseason in a massive trade involving Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick. This move signaled a potential shift in priorities — possibly opening the door for James to explore new options. Lakers 2024–25 Season Recap: Fans are furious at LeBron James (Image via John McCoy/Getty) Stat Value Regular Season Record 50–32 Playoff Seed 3rd in West Playoff Outcome First-round loss to Timberwolves (1–4) While the Lakers achieved a solid regular season record, their early playoff exit may factor into James' consideration for a new challenge. No Trade Talks — But A Free Agency Pivot? Despite the mutual interest, Stein clarified that the Mavericks are not currently pursuing a trade for James. The 21-time All-Star's expiring contract and upcoming 41st birthday are key reasons for the team's reluctance to offer up significant rotation players. Mavericks' Current Stance: • Not pursuing a trade for James. • Open to signing James if he becomes a free agent or reaches a buyout. • Reluctant to give up core rotation players for a short-term addition. 'As I've been reporting for weeks: They have not tried to trade for him and do not want to try to trade for him if it means surrendering multiple rotation pillars for a player who turns 41 in December,' wrote Marc Stein. Still, a buyout seems unlikely. James continues to hold significant on-court and off-court value for the Lakers — making it hard to envision the team letting him walk without any return. Stein adds, 'Do you think the Lakers will just give up on this season and buy him out in August or September and set James up to walk to Dallas or Golden State or New York? I don't.' As it stands, LeBron James is locked in for at least another season in Los Angeles. But Dallas remains a team to watch. With several close allies and a winning infrastructure, the Mavericks could offer the kind of late-career comfort and championship potential that might ultimately draw James away from Hollywood — if not now, then maybe in 2026.
