'World-first' Abbey Road proposal inspires new song
Christina Teenz Tan and Ron Danziger got engaged inside London's Abbey Road's Studio One in November 2021, while they were recording their co-written track Pie-in-the-Sky - will have their new song Timeless be performed by 2022 Britain's Got Talent star Tom Ball.
Like Pie-in-the-Sky, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London Voices Choir, conducted by Robert Zeigler, recorded with Tom for the single - which will be released on June 27.
The song - which has won 40 international awards for excellence in music and artistic direction - celebrates the preciousness of a bond that transcends time, culture, and the human experience.
It was composed by Danziger with lyrics by Tan, arranged by Manu Martin, directed by Susan Lim and co-produced by Lim and Martin.
The track was mastered by Greg Calbi and Steve Fallone - two of the industry's most respected engineers with a combined 12 Grammy Awards, having worked with Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and more.
Ron and Christina will walk down the aisle to 'Timeless' when they marry at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles on June 14.
It will then be performed in St Giles Church, London on June 19 as part of the Summer Music in City Churches Festival.
Ron, the composer, said: 'Timeless captures the essence of our story—one of deep connection across worlds of science and music. To celebrate our wedding with this piece feels like coming full circle.'
Christina, the songwriter, added: 'Writing the lyrics to Timeless was a way of capturing how I saw our journey then. Hearing it now—fully realised with an orchestra, and sung on stage—it feels like our love set to music.'

Less than a week after admitting he forgot to pay for his bill at a restaurant, Robert Irwin has returned to the scene of the crime to settle the score. The Aussie wildlife warrior, 21, took to Instagram last week sharing a since viral-video where he revealed he unwittingly left The Jetty Pavilion in Coffs Harbour without paying for his salad. Within five days, Irwin made good on his promise to venture back and fix up the bill, with camera crews on hand to capture the moment. 'I'm a man of my word. Owners Ben Hemsworth and Kyle Miller said they'd experienced a 50 per cent boost in business since Irwin shared a video recommendation last week. Irwin triggered global headlines when he admitted to ordering the $26 Harvest Bowl at the local eatery during an east coast road trip, before he was swarmed by fans and forgot to pay. But it turned into a bit of a frenzy … It was a bit of a flurry there for a moment,' Irwin began. 'Then the next morning wake up and realise, I never paid for my salad! I just did the old dine and dash and didn't even realise. I felt terrible.' Go and support the Jetty Pavilion. They are the absolute best. 'I apologise again. Today is not the day I start my life of crime, as much as the tabloids would love that, it's not happening. Slovakia festival hosting Kanye West cancelled after 'Heil Hitler' furore
The Slovakia festival due to welcome Kanye West next week has called off the event following the uproar over the US rapper's May release of a song glorifying Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. Before the July 20 gig was cancelled, Bratislava's Rubicon hip hop festival was set to be West's only confirmed live performance in Europe this year. Though he has won 24 Grammy Awards over the course of his career, the erratic rapper has become notorious in recent years for his increasingly antisemitic and hate-filled rants. West, who has legally changed his name to the shorthand "Ye", released the song "Heil Hitler" on May 8, the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II. In the wake of the announcement of West's appearance at Rubicon, thousands of people signed a petition against the gig. The rapper -- a vocal supporter of US President Donald Trump -- is "repeatedly and openly adhering to symbols and ideology connected with the darkest period of modern global history", two groups behind the petition said. In a statement on Instagram late on Wednesday, the festival's organisers said the decision to cancel the event was "due to media pressure and the withdrawal of several artists and partners". "This was not an easy decision," the organisers said, without drawing a direct line between the rapper's planned appearance and the cancellations. Contacted on Thursday by AFP, the Rubicon festival did not offer further explanations. Styling itself as the central European country's premier hip hop hang-out, the Rubicon festival was set to run from July 18 to 20. US rappers Offset and Sheck Wes were set to share top billing with West. Australia cancelled West's visa on July 2 over "Heil Hitler", in which West raps about his custody battle with ex-wife Kim Kardashian before the song ends with an extract of a speech by the Nazi dictator. West's wife, Bianca Censori, is Australian.
