Actress Shefali Jariwala 's former brother-in-law, singer Manmeet Singh from the Meet Brothers duo, has penned an emotional note for the late actress. Shefali Jariwala passed away in Mumbai. Shefali suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital in the hours between June 27 and June 28. However, she was declared dead on arrival. Her last rites are being held on Saturday, June 28, in Mumbai.
Manmeet Singh took to his Instagram Story on Saturday to pen a heartfelt note for the late actress. He wrote, 'Rest in peace, Shef. Only god knows why he called you back so soon… Will always cherish the amazing moments spent with you… May Waheguru be with you on your onward journey."
Not many are aware that Shefali Jariwala was previously married to Harmeet Singh, one-half of the famous music duo Meet Brothers. He is known for composing songs such as Main Tera Boyfriend, Baby Doll, Pink Lips, Radhe Radhe, and others.
The two got married in 2004 after a short period of dating. However, the relationship quickly took a difficult turn. In a past interview, Shefali opened up about the emotional strain it caused, emphasising that violence isn't always physical and expressing that she often felt undervalued in the marriage.
In one of her past interviews, Shefali spoke about how financial independence helped her make a bold choice back then. 'Because I was earning and independent, I could walk away when things got too dark," she said. Her divorce from Harmeet was finalised in 2009, marking the end of a difficult chapter in her life. Soon after, she admitted to feeling a void and lost faith in love until a beautiful new chapter knocked on her door.
After a difficult divorce with Harmeet Singh, Shefali found love again with Parag Tyagi. Over time, Shefali recognised the sincerity of his love, and after nearly four years of dating, the couple married in 2014.
