Pop singer Charli XCX married The 1975's drummer George Daniel in an intimate wedding in London. For her bridal look, Charli went the non-traditional route.
Summer 2025 just got a lot cooler. Pop sensation Charli XCX and The 1975's George Daniel are officially married. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony on Saturday, July 19, at Hackney Town Hall in London. It was an intimate affair with only their closest friends and family in attendance, but that didn't stop the wedding from making waves online.
Among the buzz, it's Charli's bold and unconventional bridal look that has captured everyone's attention.

Instead of a traditional gown, Charli wore an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood mini dress: a statement piece that perfectly reflected her signature style. The structured silhouette and short hemline brought a modern edge to the look, which she completed with a sheer tulle veil and chunky black sunglasses after the ceremony – chic, unexpected, and entirely her own.
George complemented her perfectly in a sharp black suit, subtly styled with a single white flower on his lapel to mirror Charli's bouquet. The photos from the day show the couple looking genuinely joyful and completely in sync.
Following a major year in music, it seems Charli is stepping into this new chapter on her own terms – with love, style, and a fresh take on what summer 2025 looks like.
About Charli XCX
Charli is a British singer, songwriter, and producer known for redefining the sound and shape of modern pop. Emerging from the UK's underground rave scene, she quickly rose to prominence with her genre-blending style, which combined experimental electronics with chart-friendly hooks.
Her 2024 album BRAT marked a bold, era-defining moment in pop music. Gritty, glitchy, and deeply personal, the album became a global hit as it embraced raw emotion and chaotic energy while pushing sonic boundaries. With BRAT, Charli leaned fully into her underground-meets-mainstream persona – unapologetic, experimental, and fiercely in control.

Baby Grok: Elon Musk Confirms Kids-Friendly AI Chatbot App Will Launch Soon

Last Updated: Grok 4 was launched recently but Musk is already planning to target more users for its AI chatbot and next in his line are kids. Elon Musk's xAI company has recently developed AI anime characters as virtual companions and soon Musk plans to have a Grok AI version that caters to kids and restricts their use with parental controls. Musk shared the update via an X post on Sunday, calling it the Baby Grok app. The AI chatbot rivaling Gemini and ChatGPT is taking new measures to attract more people, and get them to try Grok and its premium features via the Grok 4 AI model and the expensive SuperGrok premium version. The regular Grok 4 chatbot has invited controversy and criticism from all corners, which explains the plans to make a Baby Grok model that will cater to their specific content. Baby Grok AI Model: What To Expect The post from Musk here says We're going to make Baby Grok @xAI, an app dedicated to kid-friendly content— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) July 20, 2025 We don't think Baby Grok AI will be the public name for the app but Musk is basically trying to engage with the younger audience, and their parents who might be willing to let their kids experience AI in some form. One render of the Baby Grok suggests the designers will use the existing Grok icon and have kids added to the logo, which Musk says is inspired by the Baby Groot character from the Marvel series. We'll probably hear more in the Baby Grok in the coming days, till then, people will be engaged in trying to find out more about what the kid-focused AI chatbot means in the grand scheme of things. Having said that, Baby Grok is likely to invite scrutiny from regulators and child privacy activists, as they look to reduce the impact of AI for the young audience. Grok 4 AI chatbot brings a new AI companion in anime form named Ani. This virtual character can interact with people, and probably go further into the conversation, sharing personal information with AI. You have seen AI companions in movies like Her, and now Musk is making them a reality with the help of the latest Grok AI version. The AI companion is part of the new SuperGrok premium subscription that comes for a monthly fee. The use of AI chatbots has gone beyond asking complex questions and solving problems, people are clearly now looking to take things further with AI and Grok's Ani is here to offer that for people. view comments First Published: July 21, 2025, 08:15 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Tom Troupe, Mission Impossible And Star Trek Actor, Dies At 97

Tom Troupe, veteran actor from Sixteen Candles and Star Trek, died at 97. He trained under Uta Hagen and served in the Korean War. Tom Troupe, a seasoned actor who spent more than six decades on stage and screen, passed away at his Beverly Hills home due to natural causes. He was 97. His death was confirmed by publicist Harlan Boll, just five days after Troupe celebrated his birthday on July 15. Troupe, widely recognised for his work in Sixteen Candles, Star Trek, The Lucy Show, and Mission: Impossible, is survived by his son Christopher, daughter-in-law Becky Coulter, granddaughter Ashley Troupe, and several nieces and nephews. His death comes two years after the passing of his wife, actress Carole Cook, in January 2023. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1928, Troupe's interest in acting began early. After moving to New York in 1948, he trained under acting legend Uta Hagen at the Herbert Berghof Studio, a scholarship he earned for his early promise on stage. Before launching his professional career, he served in the Korean War and was awarded a Bronze Star for his service. Troupe's Broadway debut came in 1957 when he played Peter van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank alongside Joseph Schildkraut. The following year, he moved to Los Angeles and built an impressive television and film résumé, appearing in popular shows like The Fugitive, Cagney & Lacey, Cheers, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, and Knots Landing. His film work included titles such as Kelly's Heroes, Summer School, The Devil's Brigade, and My Own Private Idaho. On stage, he frequently collaborated with his wife, starring in productions like The Lion in Winter, Father's Day, and The Gin Game. He also appeared in the national tour of Same Time, Next Year and performed on Broadway in Romantic Comedy with Mia Farrow. A passionate writer, he co-authored and starred in the one-man play The Diary of a Madman. Following news of his passing, fans on Reddit remembered him fondly. One tribute read, 'A ripe old age. Rest easy, Sir." Another shared, 'Prolific stage and screen actor. Rest in peace, and thanks for the memories." In his memory, the family has suggested donations be made to the Entertainment Community Fund or the Pasadena Humane Society. May his soul rest in peace!
