Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is currently serving as interim CEOAndy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, has resigned from his position with the tech company following the drama surrounding the viral Coldplay concert kiss cam.
After a couple went viral for their reaction to being spotted at the Gillette Stadium show in Foxboro, Mass., on Wednesday, July 16, a company spokesperson told PEOPLE on Friday, July 18, that Byron was "placed on leave" and cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy was serving as interim CEO.
The tech company announced in an update on X on Saturday, July 19, that Byron "has tendered his resignation," and the board of directors has "accepted" it.
"As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding," Astronomer's latest statement read. "Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met."
"The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO," the statement continued.
"Before this week, we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production AI. While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not," added the statement. "We're continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data and AI problems."

Byron's resignation comes just days after the concert moment went viral on social media. In the footage, a couple — who were not identified — could be seen, with a man wrapping his arms around a woman.
After apparently realizing that they were on camera, the woman covered her face, while the man ducked down out of sight.
The reactions prompted Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin to joke that they might be having an 'affair."
"Oh, look at these two,' Martin, 48, said to the crowd as the couple hid. "All right, c'mon. You're okay.' The musician then added: "Oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy.'
Per The Guardian, Martin attempted to address what went down later in the show as well. 'Holy s---,' he reportedly told the stadium crowd. 'I hope we didn't do something bad.'
Astronomer previously wrote on LinkedIn that its board "initiated a formal investigation into this matter" and would "have additional details to share very shortly," reiterating that its "leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability."
The company did not explicitly confirm the identities of anybody in the video at the time, and reported that statements made about "other employees" being present at the concert and featured in the video were incorrect.
Citing a source, Axios reported this week that the company's public response was delayed "due in part to Byron's slow resignation and exit package negotiations."
The company's spokesperson had no comment on the Axios story when reached by PEOPLE, and Byron has not responded to separate messages seeking comment. Efforts to reach the woman in the footage were previously unsuccessful.

Wedding party bus gets "Storrowed," strikes low bridge on way to Boston reception

A newlywed couple from Massachusetts got a big surprise on the way to their reception when their party bus struck a bridge on Soldiers Field Road. Varteni Akian and her husband Steve had just gotten married at St. James Armenian Church in Watertown on June 21 and were headed to their reception at Venezia in Boston. When they got to the Anderson Memorial Bridge by Harvard University, the driver tried to pass through. "He tried to pass the clearance chains, which he did, and then he made contact with the bridge and then paused and started reversing on Storrow Drive to be able to make the exit ramp to take Mass Pike to get to Boston," said Varteni Akian. "It delayed us but we didn't need a police escort to be able to reverse safely, by some miracle." Varteni Akian credited her husband for calming everyone down after the moment of impact. "I think there's panic on every single one of our faces, except for my husband who's always calm, cool and collected. He was like, 'Everyone, it's going to be OK, we're going to have a great time and nothing is going to stop us from having the best day ever,'" said Varteni Akian. "I think the adrenaline of the whole, we just got married, we're heading to a party, this just happened. When it happened, honestly, I was like, 'OK, this is kind of cool. This is a pretty eventful thing to occur on an eventful day.' So it kind of just added to our experience," said Steve Akian. Varteni and Steve said they didn't have a follow-up with the party bus company but they still got to enjoy their wedding day together. No one was hurt in the "Storrowing." "The whole day was so eventful that this was just one little piece of it but it's a story to tell for our future," said Varteni Akian. "It happened, fortunately we didn't allow it to put a damper on our day, it added to the just enjoying the whole thing," said Steve Akian.

Megan Thee Stallion's Nails Are the Manicure Equivalent of Christian Louboutin Stilettos

Getty Images Designer-inspired nails are clearly having a moment, with both SZA and Cardi B working label logos—Gucci and Chanel, respectively—into their manicures recently. But you don't have to broadcast blatant letters across your fingertips in order to give a knowing nod to your favorite fashion house. Just look at Megan Thee Stallion's latest nail look. Megan attended the rapper's inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City on Wednesday, July 16, hand-in-hand with Dallas Mavericks player and officially hard-launched boyfriend, Klay Thompson. Thompson was pretty brave for weaving his fingers with Meg's, considering how long and sharp her stiletto manicure is. And you know what designer is closely associated with stilettos? Christian Louboutin, of course. But that's not even the main reason we're calling this mani so Louboutin-coded. While the top of Megan's nails were painted with a gunmetal-gray chrome polish, it's what's going on underneath that makes the manicure such a tribute to the shoe legend: a couple coats of bright red, just like the famous crimson soles of a Christian Louboutin pump. Just as sleek as her manicure was Megan's hair, tightly pulled back with the exception of a tendril, and her makeup, which was topped off with dramatically winged liner. She wore a gorgeous, black, criss-cross halter-neck gown by Off-White with a stunning, super-thick beaded belt that echoed the gray and red in her manicure. Thanks to the length of her dress, it's unclear whether or not Meg's open-toed heels were Louboutins, but her manicure is definitely serving plenty of high-fashion footwear vibes regardless.
