Pendulum announce first album in 15 years, drop ear-splitting screamo song Save The Cat
Set to land on August 22, the 16-track LP includes the new single, 'Save The Cat', an ear-splitting screamo number.
Frontman Rob Swire said of the song: "It was written during a period of self-questioning and frustration.
'Love felt like something I didn't fully trust myself with anymore.'
As per a press release: "Inertia is a rampaging, 16-track emotional maelstrom and without doubt the band's most personal work to date."
The star-studded collection features members of Bullet For My Valentine, Wargasm, AWOLNATION, Scarlxrd, Joey Valence + Brae and Hybrid Minds.
The track 'Halo' featuring Matt Tuck from heavy metal band Bullet For My Valentine was previously released on 2023's 'Anima' EP.
Other available tracks include 'Nothing For Free', 'Louder Than Words' with drum and bass stars Hybrid Minds, 'Colourfast', and 'Napalm' with Joey Valence and Brae.
Rob also shared how The Prodigy have always inspired the dance-rock band to experiment with "how far we could push Pendulum".
He explained: 'I was basically testing how far we could push Pendulum.
Seeing what we could get away with. I always looked at The Prodigy as the benchmark. They started out as pure rave - breakbeat, hardcore - but they evolved. They became their own sound. You don't even really associate them with breakbeat anymore. They just are The Prodigy.'
The follow-up to their chart-topping 2010 LP 'Immersion' is a breakup album.
Rob said: 'It's the sound of Pendulum finding themselves again, and me figuring myself out to a certain extent.
'Breakups do that - they strip things down and show you who you are. I'm just trying not to become the guy who needs to go through one just to make a record.'
The 'Propane Nightmares' rockers have a slew of live dates this summer, including a huge gig at Milton Keynes Bowl on August 9. Head to pendulum.com/pages/tours to check out where they are playing.

DDG has claimed he will have his next child via fertility treatment to "alleviate" against any potential issues. According to TMZ, the court sided with Halle. In court documents obtained by PEOPLE magazine and other outlets, DDG had accused his former partner of being an "an imminent emotional and psychological risk to the minor child based on repeated, documented threats of self-harm". He alleged that if Halo left the country, the child wouldn't have the protections of the court or any "emergency intervention mechanisms". DDG - whose real name is Daryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. - also claimed Halle has made "repeated threats of suicide and self-harm" and alleged she "routinely used emotional coercion and manipulation to exert her control over me, often threatening me by using self-harm or ending her life" during what has been referred to as an almost three year "on again/off again" relationship. DDG claimed she allegedly "threatened to end her life using my legally owned firearm" in 2023, as well as stalking him during their relationship, and physically and verbally abusing him. He wrote in the filing: "Given these threats to self-harm, I believe the Petitioner is a threat to our son's safety such that she should not be allowed to take Halo out of the country to Italy for a period of two months." In May, Halle was granted temporary sole physical and legal custody of Halo, along with a temporary restraining order which expired in line with a planned court hearing on June 4. She had accused DDG of domestic abuse, while previous court documents obtained by Page Six, saw her allege that she filed for sole custody without notifying DDG because she was "afraid that the violence would reoccur" and that "the other party would take the children out of the area".

Rob McElhenney files to legally change his name
Rob McElhenney has filed to legally change his name to Rob Mac. The 48-year-old actor - who is perhaps best known for starring in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - has filed legal documents in Los Angeles to officially change his name, according to TMZ. The Hollywood star has started investing in various sports teams in recent years, and the Wrexham AFC co-owner previously admitted that his surname is a constant source of confusion for some people. As a result, Rob revealed that he planned to change his name to something that's easier to pronounce. Rob - who has played an instrumental role in the award-winning Welcome to Wrexham documentary - recently told Variety: "As our business and our storytelling is expanding into other regions of the world and other languages in which my name is even harder to pronounce, I'm just going by Rob Mac." Ryan Reynolds doesn't pay attention to his online critics.
