Ahaan Panday lived in a ‘corridor' till he was 14, tried smoking at 15 with sister Alanna: ‘I was the least pampered member in the family'
While Ahaan now lives in a four-floor mansion made by dad Chikki Panday in the heart of Mumbai, which has a game room and separate flats for staff members, there was a time when Ahaan was allotted the least likable room in the house. Ahaan shared in a video on Alanna & Ivor's YouTube channel that he lived in a corridor in his house till the age of 14. During the video, when he was asked about the 'most pampered' person in his house, he said that he was the 'least pampered' member of the family.
He shared, 'I can't give you a specific one but I do know that I was the least pampered. I know that because I lived in a corridor for 7 years of my life.' As soon as Ahaan said this, Alanna interrupted him and said, 'It was not a corridor. It was a room built.' And he finished her sentence, 'It was a room built in a corridor. It was a corridor first. One side was the exit, and the other side were my dad and Dadi's bedrooms. I was in the passageway. Everyone would see me in my towel everyday.'

Alanna recalled that back then, they lived in a joint family which meant that they shared their living space with Chunky and his wife Bhavana, of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives fame, and their daughters Ananya and Rysa. Their parents – Chikki and Deanna Pandey were also in the same house, along with their paternal grandparents. Chikki and his family continue to live in the same house. Alanna recalled her childhood and said, 'We lived in a joint family. There's limited space. Would you rather live in a joint family full of love than have your own space and live separately?' Ahaan agreed and shared that he too cherishes his childhood memories.. 'It was great. I won't have it any other way,' he said.
In the same video, Ahaan also recalled that he tried his first cigarette when he was 15-16, and it was his sister Alanna who first made him try smoking. 'When I was 16, Alanna called me into her bathroom and she made me try my first cigarette,' he said as Alanna got visibly embarassed. 'You can't say this sh*t man. He's lying. I am telling you,' she tried to interrupt. Ahaan further recalled the details of the kind of cigarette that he tried and Alanna tried to stop him from divulging more. 'He's making me sound like such a bad sister,' she said and added, 'I was just excited that I had discovered something and I wanted to share it with him.' He snarkily commented, 'I was 15. I had underdeveloped lungs and you are giving me cigarettes, all out of love.'
Ahaan's debut film has made over Rs 105 crore in the first four days at the box office. This year, this feat has only been achieved by Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhaava, which made Rs 140 crore in the first four days, and earned over Rs 600 crore through its run in theatres. Films of superstars like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Sunny Deol haven't seen the kind of success that Saiyaara has experienced in the cinemas.

Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's ‘Saiyaara' becomes 16th biggest hit of Hindi cinema surpassing Salman Khan's ‘Sultan' and Deepika Padukone's ‘Padmaavat'
Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda and directed by Mohit Suri, has achieved remarkable success, grossing Rs 302.25 crore in 18 days. The romantic drama has surpassed blockbusters like Padmaavat and Sultan, becoming the 16th highest-grossing Hindi film. This triumph marks a significant comeback for Suri and establishes Panday and Padda as promising talents in Bollywood. In what can only be described as a dream launch for Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda and a triumphant comeback for director Mohit Suri , Saiyaara has stormed its way into Bollywood's elite box office club. With a staggering Rs 302.25 crore in just 18 days, the romantic drama has now become the 16th highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, surpassing even blockbuster biggies like Padmaavat and Sultan. Mohit Suri Spills On 20 Years In Bollywood - Ahaan & Aneet, Alia Bhatt Dream Collab & More The film opened to a solid Rs 21.5 crore on its first Friday, but it was the weekend that truly catapulted its fortunes. With Rs 26 crore on Saturday and a staggering Rs 35.75 crore on Sunday, Saiyaara raked in Rs 172.75 crore in its opening week — one of the most impressive debut weeks in recent memory. While the second week did witness a typical drop, the collections remained steady with Rs 107.75 crore coming in. The third weekend showed resilience, with strong Saturday (Rs 6.75 crore) and Sunday (Rs 8 crore) numbers, and even Monday held with Rs 2.5 crore, taking the 18-day total to Rs 302.25 crore. By crossing the Rs 300 crore mark, Saiyaara has dethroned blockbusters like Ranveer Singh , Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor's Padmaavat ( Rs 302.15 ) and Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma led Sultan ( Rs 300 .45 ) crore. If the film holds steady into its fourth weekend it can challenge films like War, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tiger Zinda Hai. The film's success also marks an emphatic return to form for director Mohit Suri, whose previous outings had seen lukewarm receptions. With Saiyaara, he revisits the emotional storytelling that once defined hits like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. ‘Son of Sardaar 2' box office: Ajay Devgn's comedy struggles amid competition
Ajay Devgn's latest release, Son of Sardaar 2, is struggling to maintain momentum after a decent opening weekend. Despite a star-studded cast and the legacy of its 2012 predecessor, the comedy sequel has seen a steep decline in collections as weekday footfalls drop sharply. According to Sacnilk, the film opened with ₹7.25 crore on Day 1 and gained steam over the weekend with ₹8.25 crore on Saturday and ₹9.25 crore on Sunday, bringing its three-day total to ₹24.75 crore. However, Monday proved to be a major setback. The film saw an 86.92% dip in revenue, managing only ₹1.21 crore on Day 4, taking the total domestic collection to ₹25.96 crore. Industry insiders say weekday blues aren't the only factor. Son of Sardaar 2 is up against stiff competition from current box office performers like Dhadak 2, Saiyaara, and Mahavatar Narsimha. While Dhadak 2 collected ₹1.40 crore and Saiyaara pulled in ₹2.50 crore on Monday, Mahavatar Narsimha dominated with a massive ₹8 crore, outshining all others. Occupancy for Son of Sardaar 2 on Monday remained low at 10.20%, with the highest being 13.23% during evening shows. Despite a wide release with 595 shows in Delhi NCR and 348 in Mumbai, audiences appear to be opting for alternatives. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, the film features Mrunal Thakur, Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Kishan, and others in supporting roles.
