For years, there's been endless gossip about
Kabir Bedi
and
Parveen Babi
's whirlwind romance – and why it ended so suddenly. While the rumours had painted Bedi as the man who walked away, he once opened up and shared his side of the story.
A star-crossed romance
In the glamorous world of the 1980s, Kabir Bedi and Parveen Babi's relationship grabbed plenty of attention. Their love story began after Bedi's marriage with Odissi dancer Protima Bedi came to an end. Around the same time, Parveen was also healing from a breakup with actor
Danny Denzongpa
.
In his autobiography 'Stories I Must Tell: The Emotional Life of an Actor', Bedi described how their romance began during a difficult chapter in his life. 'Parveen was very delicate,' he wrote, noting that she was vulnerable and looking for comfort. Their relationship was intense, passionate, and very much in the public eye.

A trip that changed everything
The turning point in their relationship came during a trip to Europe. Bedi revealed in a past interview with Digital Commentary that while they were in London, he noticed that Parveen was not well. He began to realise she was showing signs of paranoia and mental stress. 'Vo toh isliye humare relationship ki khatam hui kyunki jab Italy ke baad hum London aaye mai ne dekha uski condition kharab ho rahi hai. Aur usko yeh manjoor nahi tha, jab ki mai janta tha ki agar vo treatment nahi legi toh haal bigadta jayega. Or is baat pe huamri separation hogayi,' he shared. (Our relationship ended because after we came to London from Italy, I saw that her condition was getting worse. And she couldn't accept that. I knew that if she didn't get treatment, things would get worse. And that's what led to our separation.)
Parveen walked away first
Despite what the rumours swirled, Bedi says Parveen ended the relationship – not him. He tried to help her get the treatment she needed, but she was scared it would ruin her image and career. 'She left me is darr ke ki he will force me to have treatment. Or paranoid mind jo hote hai vo her cheej se darte hai toh usko laga doctor ko pata chal gaya toh vo industry ko bta dega, mera career khatam ho jayega. Toh Parveen Babi left me, I didn't left her,' Bedi said. (She left me out of fear that I would force her to get treatment. And people with a paranoid mind are scared of everything. She thought if the doctor found out, he might tell the industry, and her career would be over. So Parveen Babi left me, I didn't leave her.)
At the time, mental health was not openly discussed in the film industry. Parveen was afraid that if her condition became public, she would lose work and be judged harshly.
But Bedi stood firm and finally set the record straight: 'Yeh baat sahi hai ki media yaha, usne mujhe doshi theraya ki mai ne Parveen ko reject kara isliye Parveen ka dimag kharab hogya. Sach yeh tha ki Parveen had mental problems before.' (It's true that the media here blamed me – saying that I rejected Parveen, and that's why she lost her mind. But the truth is that Parveen had mental problems even before that.)
He added that he always cared for her and only wanted her to get help. But Parveen's fear of exposure was stronger than his attempts to support her.

Shefali Jariwala's ex-husband, whom she accused of domestic violence, opens up on their last chat: ‘There was a long conversation …'

Although their marriage ended on a bitter note in 2009, Shefali Jariwala 's ex-husband, musician Harmeet Singh , still remembers their last conversation. In a recent interview with journalist Vicky Lalwani, Singh recalled how they had a nice, long chat when he was returning from a show on a private plane. He even claimed that the two often run into one another at parties and were cordial. 'I remember having gone to Bangladesh for a show about two or three years ago. Sunny Leone and Shefali were also there. We three came back together in a private plane, and Shefali and I sat next to each other. And yes, there was quite a long conversation that we had. Apart from that, I did meet her at a few events and parties where I remember we both wishing each other warmly,' he told Lalwani. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Vickey Lalwani (@iamvickeylalwani) For the unversed, Jariwala breathed her last on Friday. As per reports, the actress suffered a massive cardiac arrest . The ' Kaanta Laga ' hitmaker was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi , but was declared dead upon arrival. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Play War Thunder now for free War Thunder Play Now Undo Singh, who is currently in Europe, was unable to attend her last rites. However, he took to Instagram to pay homage. Sharing a picture of Shefali, he wrote, 'One of the most shocking moments of my life. I'm absolutely shattered and in disbelief after hearing about Shefali's sudden and untimely demise.' He also recalled that they spent a few 'beautiful years' together. 'I pray to the Almighty for her soul to rest in peace and for strength for the family during this unimaginable time. Jai Shree Krishna,' he wrote. Singh is one-half of the popular singer-composer duo Meet Brothers. Some of their chartbusters include, 'Baby Doll,' 'Pink Lips,' 'Beparwah,' etc. Shefali collaborated with Meet Brothers on a music video named 'Pyaar Humein Kis Mod Pe Le Aaya.' A Troubled Marriage Shefali and Harmeet entered into matrimony in 2004, but their relationship came to an end five years later in 2009. As their separation made its way through the legal system, Shefali is said to have alleged that Harmeet had inflicted emotional and physical harm on her. In previous conversations with Times Now, she opened up about her inner turmoil, revealing that a lack of emotional validation combined with ongoing psychological strain led her to make the painful yet crucial choice of walking away from the marriage. For her, continuing in that environment meant compromising her well-being—something she ultimately decided she could no longer endure. "It is very important to understand that you are not being appreciated. Not every kind of violence is physical. There is a lot of mental violence that also happens, and you are very unhappy in your life..." she told the publication. Shefali found love again in actor Parag Tyagi. The duo tied the knot in 2014. Shefali Jariwala's last rites took place on Saturday evening at the Oshiwara Hindu cremation ground in Mumbai. The ceremonial rites were conducted by her husband, Parag Tyagi, alongside her father, Satish, and her sister, Shivani. Several close friends and colleagues from the entertainment world came together to pay their last respects, including familiar faces like Shehnaaz Gill, Mika Singh, and Vikas Gupta. Fellow Bigg Boss 13 housemates—Mahira Sharma, Arti Singh, and Rashami Desai—visited her home to personally express their sympathy and stand by the grieving family. Himanshi Khurana took to social media to post a nostalgic photograph of Shefali, and in an emotional note, referred to Bigg Boss 13 as 'cursed,' citing the loss of Sidharth Shukla, her own relationship ending, and now the untimely death of Shefali as painful blows tied to that chapter

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to fight trial about the French winery for 2 weeks; the ex-couple agrees with the timing

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie , the Mr. & Mrs. Smith actors, have been at each other's throats for a long time. The infamous rivalry will now transform into a courtroom drama, as the fight for the French winery is going to continue. Pitt vs Jolie trial to begin... According to US Weekly, Brad Pitt revealed in the court documents that the expected time for the jury trial will last for a fortnight, regarding the lawsuit he has against his ex-wife. The court documents also reveal that Jolie has agreed to the given time period. However, the date of the trial is yet to be determined, as several of the motions are yet to be decided. The 'F1' star has anointed this case as 'complicated' as many foreign parties are involved in the matter, and the defence has filed many cross claims in the case. What is the mess around the Miraval winery? The Chateau Miraval winery was bought by Pitt and Jolie when they were still head over heels for each other in 2008. When the disastrous and allegedly abusive private jet incident occurred, the couple decided to part ways but keep the winery to pass it down to their 6 children. However, in 2022, Pitt filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife, claiming that she did not keep her promise of not selling their shares of the winery without informing the other person. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Secure Your Child's Future with Strong English Fluency Planet Spark Learn More Undo He told the court that he had spent a ton of money and effort on turning Miraval into a successful winery. In 2021, Jolie had approached Pitt to tell him that she wanted out of the Miraval shares through a private email, which the 'Fight Club' actor submitted to the court as one of the documents. 'In the past four years I have seen lots of inconsiderate behavior, money spent in ways that I would not have approved, and decisions made that I was not consulted on,' she wrote in the mail, before adding, 'I've been hurt by decisions that have been made that show no interest in sharing the business or changing it fundamentally into something that would be healthier for our children. ' While the ex-couple did work on buying her shares, Jolie claims that Pitt tried to make her sign an NDA, which would cover up years of abuse. Pitt denied the claim, and his lawyer argues that the accusations are a sham in the pretext of her selling the shares to a Russian billionaire, striking a deal with a third party.
